Love the new format! Having help behind the camera really helps when you feature a particular guitar. It honestly feels like we’re there at Sky Music in person! Thank you for the tour and excellent job Shane and Rhyannon! Enjoy your vacation! Aloha!🎸🎸🎸😎😎😎🤙🏾
I don’t like relic guitars. I do like natural relic from years of use. To me it’s showing the history of its use. When I buy a new instrument I don’t want to see a scratch on it. When I buy used instruments it’s a different story. Thanks for sharing Shane. Looking forward to more of these videos. Oh, and videos jamming in the store with The Doc. You guys really rock 👍🤘
Ain't that the truth. It's like watching the voice(yuck). You can't imitate years of wear and experience by banging up a new guitar to make it look old and pretend it's genuine.Very pretentious. With a hefty price tag. There's no short cut for time served and this is ,to me, a con job perpetuated by greedy companies.Murphy lab my ass.
Sometimes the beauty is in the imperfections. All my guitars have stories and carry their scars. The aging on this 57 reissue is something to be admired (by me anyway). Great video and the best close up of an Ultra Heavy Aged Gibson on TH-cam. Thanks.
Legends at Sky music they are. Have bought my LP Classic, Japanese Fender Strat, Maton 808 and recently got a Jackson Dinky which I just didn't get along with and they let me return and exchange absolutely zero questions and ended up with a Vinteria 50s Tele which is awesome. Best shop in Melbourne and the best CS you'll find. Go here and buy ya gear.
I really enjoyed the tour of Sky Music. The fact they do so much to help you with your reviews on your channel is a major bonus!!! I'm surprised that you could get that Brad Paisley Tele out of Rhyannon's hands. Speaking of Rhyannon, great camera work!! Please keep these quality videos coming!!
this is an excellent format for this series, having someone else also filming while you show the guitars is really great. and who knows, in a few years when Rhy is playing better, she can get her hands on more rh guitars too!
Great video and fantastic format. I got a Tele from Sky Music around Christmas shipped to Brissie, superb service and the guitar was ready to play out of the double box. Thanks for the tour, the shop looks amazing and a must visit when in Melbourne (leaving the credit cards at home lol) because I saw an interesting Jazzmaster HH in one of your takes
Hey Shane, I like it when you show us some of your life outside of the studio, maybe you can add a little bit once and awhile, and don't forget, when you hit 200K subs you are taking us all out for a beer😎
I liked the look of that (maybe walnut) tele guitar on the way out. Just above the in store Sky Music sign. Blues On....💙 We don't see to many Sigma guitars in the U.S.A. They are the accoustic's Epiphone's of Martin Guitar. Play well and sound great.
I have 3 electrics, a 2nd hand Tenny, a reliced Tele, and a ‘new’ Strat. Despite the Tele being the most $ of the 3, I do feel a little more relaxed about the possibility of a bump. But dings are to be avoided on all of them.
Love this series and how down to earth you guys seem. Also, Sky Music looks amazing, what a selection of guitars...and they're top notch for letting you review products! Now if only you could find a camera that wasn't horizontally flipped...it looks like you play left-handed all the time!! ;-) j/k, great channel, and greetings from Canada!
Great work as always Shane, love the new format. Picked myself up a Fender Player Strat Sunburst from Sky Music recently worth the 1 houe drive from home amazing store. Can I request some more Fender pedal reviews if possible as I'm loving the Reflecting Pool & Pelt that I own, thank you.
Damn Shane I was missing these guitar search videos! And wouldn’t you know it here you come up with one of the best! Sky music looks like an epic guitar store! Really thought you should have grabbed that Red Strat it seemed made for you and sounded amazing! Love the new format your partner deserves a great big high five and congratulations she did a great job on camera!
Not having to worry about more dings on a relic guitar is nice. For me, the first few dings or scratches on a new guitar always suck. But after that, it's sort of a relief. Because it doesn't matter anymore after that. I do prefer to make my own dings and scratches, though. My 2c on it. Very nice video, Shane. I enjoyed it a lot. Have a good one, mate !
I’ve found the fix for this! Just buy old player guitars and quit the worry! I used to be the same way til bad luck hit and had to sell my high end guitars and now I just play modded cheapys and what they are is what they are. Just love em for what they are
Great improvement over the original Sky Music GSS video. Always a good visit there. I'm glad I don't live too close to it. (Well I'm not, but my wallet is.)
Look's like a very solid modern music store on a prime location (IKEA in the background :) ) Great video and a lot of good equipment there. Agree on the Yamaha issue too, they are everywhere and I feel they don't get enough credit for their budget stuff (they are still very good/sharp). And yes, the Fender Tonemaster amps are surprisingly good and I am surprised that I liked that Kenny Wayne Shepard Strat way more than I should. Not really my style, but still, an attractive guitar.
Hey Shane you really need to try out the Sire brand guitars. They are great guitars and sell for a great price. Pickups, hardware, neck on them are awesome.
Mine is light aged double gold light back Murphy Lab and is best sounding Les Paul I have played. Went to buy very specific made to measure M2M 59 reissue and ended up with my gold top. Well it sounded best.
Next time I travel to Oz definitely going to Sky music just for the lefty section! And it passes the wife off getting dragged round guitar shops lol... just like travelling 4 hours to Andertons 2 weeks ago she was in such high spirits when we were kid free and I said road trip...wasn't what she thought lol...
Sky Musics guitar displays remind me a lot of DW Music here in Canberra. I've looked at those Ibanez hollowbody guitars several times. They've got some amazing looking hollows and magnificent for the money - Its still on the Wish list.
What a store Shane its amazing loved the lefty fiesta red stratocaster saw your video on changing your fender blues deluxe speaker too a swamp thang is it easy too do take care mate
Not a fan of the Relic'd look on a brand new guitar. I DO like a well made guitar that has rolled fretboard edges to make the neck "feel" worn in..... but made to look not beat up.
So I’m new to learning about guitars and learning to play , but one thing that has been bugging me. A lot of people talk about Epiphone and other lower end guitars having bolt on necks , yet some higher end guitars have bolt on necks and that’s ok , what is the difference ? In my mind I’m thinking the higher ends use better wood and fret boards but I’ve seen in some cases they have used the same wood and style fret boards and I’m back to being confused as why they laugh at lower end guitars when some higher ends do the same. Awesome channel , beautiful country. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Shame you couldn't play the lefty Les Paul Custom Shop that they've had for a while. Did notice a sold sign on it..... Was it you that bought it Shane??? Great vid!!
Never got and never will get, the whole "relic" appeal. I'll take the natch relic of my LH 78' Strat and the patina effect that turned what I imagine was once white to nicotine yellow lol
Hey, Dude , enjoy the day. If I´d were there I´d be Known as "the guitar shop robber man". hahahahaha. GREAT TRAVEL AROUND THE SHOP. Love your channel.
How you doing Shane? Love your program and what a fantastic music shop. Beat's anything we have hands down. What do you guess is the price difference between California and Melbourne for guitars?
Shane will always be my favorite of the original guitar youtubers. I still don't know crap about his politics after all these years and i like that. Quality content from a likeable guy thx
I see you Mr. Kareem. From one lefty to another, hello my friend.
Actually, the old format redux. Lol ! Blues On....💙
@@hutchfromba Quite true!
@@drivenmad7676 Good day to you as well fellow southpaw!😎

I agree. I liken it to those new jeans you can buy with holes in the knees. People are willing to spend a lot of money to look like they’re poor.
Finally! A tour of the Hallowed Grounds of Sky Music! Thanks for supplying the good folk of Melbourne with lefties!
Sometimes the beauty is in the imperfections. All my guitars have stories and carry their scars. The aging on this 57 reissue is something to be admired (by me anyway). Great video and the best close up of an Ultra Heavy Aged Gibson on TH-cam. Thanks.

Hey Shane, great video as always. About a year ago I was at Sky Music and I heard your unmistakable voice. Glad to have met on in person! :)
Guitar search Saturdays are the best videos on TH-cam. Great job Shane. I think you should get the red custom shop strat it seemed made for you.
What a treat! I was just saying to myself and my cat how much I missed Guitar Search Saturdays and tadah! Here it is! Thanks, Shane!
this is an excellent format for this series, having someone else also filming while you show the guitars is really great. and who knows, in a few years when Rhy is playing better, she can get her hands on more rh guitars too!
GREAT job Shane & Rhy! Sky's always been a good shop! Haven't been in for a few years!
Really digging the new format! But more importantly I’m glad it’s back. Thank you Shane!
Great video and fantastic format. I got a Tele from Sky Music around Christmas shipped to Brissie, superb service and the guitar was ready to play out of the double box. Amazing job! Love the new format!!! It feels like I was actually there. Wonderful vid! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
this was great! I noticed CBD Furniture next door. Canada recently started selling lots of CBD, but not in furniture! :P
Hey Shane, great video. The EVH Frankie neck pickup actually works… you just have to wire it up. Common mod is a Push/Pull pot to add it. Thanks!

Fiesta red, mint green and rosewood!
Beautiful. I know that the strat had a white pick guard but .....

Thanks for the tour. I enjoy these types of videos. Hopefully I can travel to Australia when things get closer to normal.
Thanks Shane and Rhyannon! This was fun!

Great video Shane....... beautifully shot........ and a guitar store that Australia can be proud of!!

That's probably the coolest guitar shop I've ever seen. Wish there was something like that close to where I live.
I really enjoyed this format. I’m stuck at home with a busted knee and this was a great window shopping trip.
SO Awesome Shane. Thankyou for the tour.
Great format, Shane. I know you’re not into comparison videos but that’d be cool to have a Vintera II vs American Vintage II.
I’ve done probably a hundred comparison videos over the years but not as many in recent times. I’ll see what I can do 😊👍
Great improvement over the original Sky Music GSS video. Always a good visit there. I'm glad I don't live too close to it. (Well I'm not, but my wallet is.)
Thank you for the tour!
Cool Music Store, beautiful guitars, beautiful camera lady. 😉👍
Thanks for taking us on a field trip Shane!
Oh man all those custom shop guitars were 😍😍😍😍 great episode dude!
Thanks mate, their Gibson collection is awesome. :)
Wow, Sky Music is super cool to let you come in and rip on their stuff. Very very cool.
Look's like a very solid modern music store on a prime location (IKEA in the background :) ) Great video and a lot of good equipment there. Shane has so much rhythm that even his windshield wipers are in time with the music !!!!!!

i love this i cant wait to come to Melbourne do the same thing guitar safari awesome
Great work Shane, always enjoy your efforts and content!
Next time I travel to Oz definitely going to Sky music just for the lefty section! Tremendous shop and those lefty Fenders were beautiful.
Very cool store! I wish I had one like that in my neighborhood. Thanks for the video.
I've got a Custom Shop Fiesta Red based on a 61 Strat and it's absolutely phenomenal. It has the tiniest neck I've ever felt on a Strat.
I’m in Perth. Whenever the borders open and I get a chance to get back to Melbourne I will definitely make a trip out to Sky Music. Thanks Shane
Any decade now....
Sky Musics guitar displays remind me a lot of DW Music here in Canberra. I've looked at those Ibanez hollowbody guitars several times. They've got some amazing looking hollows and magnificent for the money - Its still on the Wish list.
Brilliant episode mate !!! 😎🎸👍
Awesome video, Shane. Nice work from Rhiannon. I like that Custom Shop Strat you played early in the vid. Fiesta red FTW.
I like the format
Did not expect to hear car Wizard lift music here. Great video and great store
Nice to see you driving on the correct side of the car...and road. 😆
What a store Shane its amazing loved the lefty fiesta red stratocaster saw your video on changing your fender blues deluxe speaker too a swamp thang is it easy too do take care mate

Awesome channel , beautiful country.
👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Great stuff as always. PRS SE Customs are awesome (once you replace the soft plastic nut).
Nice episode! Hey Shane, have you looked up Oswald Guitars from the Netherlands? Nick the master builder has done some wicked guitars
I have a Schecter Strat from the early 80's, the same model Knopfler played live but it's a righty. It's in my late dad's collection.
Great Video Shane 🙏🏻 Like me…(have 3 Teles)… walks in, and straight to the Telecasters - “oh Hey there” 😂
Mate this isn't 112 pacifica, it was PAC612VIIX which is probably like 3x the price of 112
I think the KWS has a chambered body to help keep it light. Beautiful guitar - on my dream list.
Great segment, definitely positive feedback here!
Wow, what a guitar store and a great video!!
Yah !!! Guitar Search Saturday is back 😃
Well it's a win/win that more guitar channels should do: unlimited gear for you to review AND advertising for them. Cheers, very cool series!
Pro quality format!
Excellent once again Shane.
As a lefty, it's sad to see a lefty looking at so many nice rightys. Great vid. Shane. I did love the Strat.
New style is great. Nicely done.
Amazing store...better than my local GC which on last visit had zero lefties.
My father had a James Burton back in the day. He traded off though like he did with most of his guitars.
Great format. I may have to relocate
Shame you couldn't play the lefty Les Paul Custom Shop that they've had for a while. Did notice a sold sign on it..... Was it you that bought it Shane??? Great vid!!
This is great, Shane. Really enjoying it
Never got and never will get, the whole "relic" appeal.
Great video! But, you missed the Gretsch wall!!!! You have to go back!
How you doing Shane? Love your program and what a fantastic music shop. Beat's anything we have hands down. What do you guess is the price difference between California and Melbourne for guitars?
Wish some bugga wd let me loose in a guitar shop...
Great vid mate!
gonna have to pay a visit! thanks Shane
After playing lefty since 1964..... I've never seen a guitar store with so many in stock......I have a feeling that you have influenced their buyer
Shane will always be my favorite of the original guitar youtubers. I still don't know crap about his politics after all these years and i like that. Quality content from a likeable guy thx
His politics has nothing to do with you
Great video Shane, really enjoyed it
Yes sir very good video. Would have loved to hear some of those honey's plugged in. Great demo 2thumbs up...
what a store, which they had something like this in India !
Is there an IKEA in opposite? Just if you need a new chair for practicing 😃
Great episode.
Yep! They're crap! The subbed Cafe however, is really good! (Or it used to be when I went there some years ago! Good cheap eats! )
Heading there now.
Great video.. however.. if you could get a bit more of Rhyannon in FRONT of the Camera.. LOL! ;-)
Excellent presentation
Really great stuff, just wish I could afford some of those high end guitars.
THanks SHane from NW Montana
Lol 😂...yeah that's nerve wracking to play I would think...cool video nice shop..thanks Shane!
A lefty seafoam green. I am drooling!
GET a tissue!
The owner must be left-handed - I've never seen that many lefties in one shop.
Love Sky Music
Great job and Video 👌👍👍
4:06 (Cough) Pink! 😉
Love the Goldtop relic, I'm a fan of relics when done right and think the greened, spidered gold top is the best looking of any relics.
Thx,,,I love guitars ,,,,and I liked this video
