I think it is just a general thing in all TCG's that more decks are able to do well at smaller events because of the dramatically reduced competition and sometimes general skill level, but at least we can see the difference even if most of it is still the same 5 decks dominating the current format.
5 decks is fine for me tbh. OP7 has some nice diverse Meta. I am afraid of whats to come in op8. Hope bans hit right in time so we dont have to be part of that Lucci/Law only meta
@@Generation1995 OP has been anything but diverse and this is a huge change. We just got an update coming off of saka meta and before that white beard meta. OP has been anything but diverse from the beginning and seeing 5 decks vs the 1-3 is a Big deal. This game is prone to be about 1 leader dominating and only 1-2 others actually having tools good enough to keep up or counter. So OP08 isnt surprising me that it will just continue that trend I just dont know how frequently they will need to start updating that ban list as bandai tends to be bad about making new over powered cards to sell sets that tend to also ruin their games.
I topped a locals with Yellow Linlin last set. It feels great against a lot of the current meta matchups & its nice to not have to worry too much about running into the mirror matchup.
I completely agree with your Moria take, it is such a consistent deck. I have tried out Lucci and I am running into soo many inconsistencies and auto loss because of moria getting milled over etc. At my locals I went 5-0 with Moria and not a single Lucci player topped and I asked after the tournament why they did not win and they all said bad draw and mill and too many inconsistencies or aggro enel/rg law/ rp law So I am glad that Moria finally topped a regional, was about time.
I think the thing with nami is not only a "skillcheck" but she just works too good against lucci, enel, by and bonnie 4/5 meta decks are almost free in the way they are build. They could easily tech against nami but that would make them worse in any other matchup. Thats why nami just steamrolls regionals if she dodges blue
I think Nami's worse MU is RP Law, since they put a lot of bodies on board AND can increase their deck size by bottom decking cards as well. She definitely can dunk on slower decks though.
@@TheEgman ive only played Milan and i dodged law there so im Not 100% confident but since my loses were to doffi in day one and topcut who also swarms the Board but has acess to 6c Vanilla that bottom Decks and pudding (and doest -don) IT felt Like an 80/20 for doffi whereas Testing with my Team Made law seem more Like a 60/40
Honestly this format is one of the best format so far I was the 1 law player that won the store regional the regional had 3 law players and rest were boonie lucchi enel nami reiju black yellow luffy whitebeard it’s amazing how the top decks are 5-7 decks make this format very good glad their isn’t a number 1 deck
I feel nami is a random win deck now, obviously there's skill involved in the ordering of what you use but I've faced some that got their draw engine fully going, kaya into pilaf drawing the snake event 4k bounce kaya, repeat repeat, I genuinely cannot stop it
I'm going to be trying out Reiju on stream tomorrow. I feel like it might be a bit better then I originally though but I would like to do some personal testing first!
Something that I see a lot in Latam is the use of Doffy/Boa a lot and toping, but don't see use/respect on EU and NA, that pudding just wins you games!
Nami is the most difficult leader to play, with and against. You need to know the deck very well. My opinion is that Nami is top 2 now. You don't have many Nami players at regionals, and the few that do have good results. Enel and Boney is basically a win, Lucci and Luffy 55% to 50% for Nami, if you're lucky with the triggers it gives you another 10%~20%. RP Law practically defeats you, you need to hope that Law draw very badly, you draw very well and sees 4 triggers. Having the worst MU against the most powerful and popular leader of this and the next set is the only thing that prevents Nami from winning many tournaments.

@@Oops-All-Agumonhad to put my glasses on, thought you were talking about Komoney
I put all my resources into Perona this set, I usually go X-1 at locals but even though I haven't topped yet I still have a fun time with the deck.
I really like Perona and it's a lot of fun to play. Definitely one of my favorite decks for this meta.
Deck is so fun bro

I know rp law is somehow in advantage but i love this meta cuz its not as dominating as enel and sakazuki in the past
Getting into the game I picked up a GY Yamato deck. And not seeing single
Top with that deck makes me sad LOL

Hot take purple luffy Is a playable deck
Playable okay but you ain’t winning much

Yeah Pudding is a menace.
Thx
TWO Store Regionals won by Lucci... So just Jorden? LMAO
So Moria has the higher ceiling... got it
I’m glad u can agree law shouldn’t be banned in this formst
Do you think boa is viable?
Nope, at least not in large scale events. I think Doffy is just better.
This I see a big mom leader?????? Send me that link

Overshadowed by a better green leader, Bonney.
Let's go!
