iKON has one of the most depressing histories from pre-debut til now. They were made fun of when they didn't win on WIN: Who Is Next. Lost a lot of fans after being inactive and busy on a lot of concerts and stuff outside Korea. Got called "flopped" on Bling Bling era. Even their awards are rarely spoken about; there's a heck ton of awards iKON has but no one talks about it. Finally got the recognition they deserved at 2018 with Love Scenario, sweeping every single award along with Songwriter of the Year for Kim Hanbin (B.I). They got a lot of fans as they released what was known as the "Trilogy" (Love Scenario - Killing me - Goodbye Road). And then 2019 came with B.I's departure over him attempting to buy drugs (this was years before 2019) due to his stress but was too scared to actually buy it. The news broke out and B.I allegedly left the group and company to protect iKON...
And then 2020 came with iKON's i DECIDE mini album, the one a lot of people consider B.I's last dying flames on iKON. A lot of the songs there can be related to how iKON feels about losing B.I, but the thing about iKON's songs are: it can be interpreted in any way you'd interpret it. Fast forward to 2021 where they got a lot of attention and respect (also fans) coming in to Kingdom where they straight up didn't care about the competition and dissed Mnet without even trying to hide it; they also were seen as the "idols of your idols" on Kingdom. And of course, B.I's return to the music industry with his own label and represented Korea on GRAMMY's Global Spin. The dude literally came in and straight up rejected Kpop and went to the whole world (collabing with a lot of western artist).
Right now, iKON and B.I are in a pretty comfortable spot, staying close and lowkey supporting each other.

Honestly, as a group my heart goes out for them. They deserved so much better but we as an audience failed them.

B.I aka kim hanbin wrote prod comp almost all of ikon song's before he left even in song "dive" (he is not in the group) but he still part of the writing and comp the song

iKON's just released a mini album called 'Flashback' and they just released the title track called 'But you' you guys should check it out!
B.I composed almost all of iKON's songs. He's good in making upbeat songs with sad lyrics, vice versa. iKON is so much better live. Try reacting to JUST GO live performance, APOLOGY, WAIT FOR ME, RHYTHM TA live rock version, I'M OK(about life and love), ADORE YOU. Actually all of iKON's songs!

I also recommend his WATERFALL Album. His recent comebacks were dedicated to his charity.
B.I left the group because of a dr*g issue. He went on hiatus for two years. Hi is now free of charge but on probation., He's basically been hated from the very start. Haters always tend to bring him down but this guy is so passionate in music that he always tend to come back.
B.I is now an Executive Director in IOK Company(who believes in his worth, talent and passion) and a CEO of his own label, 131Label.

BTW ikon have a really sad and hard history (their leader, producer, member (B.I) left the group because of drug scandal, he didn't want to hurt the members and sacrifice for sake of his own team, iKON also have a very strong bond of friendship and brotherhood so when B.I left, all of them take so much time to heal and also they still have a strong bond even tho B.I left)
iKON is one of the most versatile group in the industry
iKON is very huge in sokor, Japan and China when they debuted they were awarded to every single ROOKIE OF THE YEAR from those 3 countries making them a GRANDSLAM ROTY AWARDEES. I think for today there only 3 groups who have grandslam roty those are SHINEE,iKON and TXT

If you are planning to watch an iKON guide, "This is iKON: 7 pride of iKONICS' is the best one. Also, Goodbye Road is my fav iKON song so I hope you guys would check it out as well. They have the best b-side tracks and one of the best discographies in kpop ✨
LOVE SCENARIO won the song of the year in 2018 and BI won the producer of the year the only idol producer who won the award that year

Bobby is the only idol to have won show me the money (rap survival show). He won the title when he was a trainee (before debut) when he was still doing the Mix and Match Survival show.

B.I was the main producer of iKON, BOBBY also a producer of his solo albums and also produced for iKON, DK also produces iKON songs, JAY also participated in composing song, JUNE participated in lyrics (he also loves to write his own songs). Basically all of them have so much participation in producing stuff.

bobby, the rapper and face of the group is considered to be one of the best rapper on the entire industry. he won 1st place in rap competition back in 2014 (before debuting in ikon) againts actual rappers and broke the 'idol rapper are not real rapper' stigma. he is also married and have a kid so he's also one of a few idols breaking the 'idols can't get married and stay in the industry' stigma
