    I bought a 2010 Corolla LE as a graduate school commuter last year. It’s incredibly bland, but I’ve grown to love it. Its never given me a problem, I don’t care if it gets dinged in a parking lot, and the ride is surprisingly smooth.

    Love the 10th Gen Corolla. Have the 2010 S trim in white which I purchased new in early 2011. It has been garage kept all its life and just clocked over 61K miles. It’s a family hauler/daily driver. I’ve kept it stock with the exception of the Altis LED taillights and bike roof rack. It’s such a great reliable car.

    This model year is what I consider the last of the 2000's era toyota corolla. The model that came after this, my firstt car had a more integrated touchscreen, throwing away the standard double DIN, climate controls with LCDs, and a much more modern look. Also the 2014 was the first year with the CVT, although you could still get a manual in the L base trim and S Plus trims.

      @@jrag1000 parts are relatively cheap for corollas , around $80-$120 for a wheel bearing . Id estimate no more than $400 for everything . It depends on how much the part is & how much the mechanic charges as their labor rate , but an experienced mechanic can get it done under 3 hours .

    I used to drive a 2012 toyota corolla le during my time in high school, university, grad school, and first 2 jobs. The car drove terrible and I had to floor the gas half the time to get anywhere. The suspension was terrible because the car would get unsettled around corners even when the inside wheel hits a bump. Top speed was 110 mph and car would sway beyond 75 mph. Had to replace the rotors and brakes 3 times a year. However, this car provided so much memories and opportunities that I would not have otherwise. Now that the car is gone, I am finding myself looking for POV videos on TH-cam to reminisce the good old days.

    • @justabloke7222
      @justabloke7222 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This car is not meant to be driven over 85mph. I read the manual. Also it’s a safe car, meaning it’s not meant to go fast in a short amount of time. Stepping on it immediately turns the rpm to red. Not recommended for experienced drivers

  • @drivedb7

    These 10th gen Corollas were both excellent cars and terrible cars at the same time. Mechanically they’re almost unkillable, but they’re not much to look at and the interior craftsmanship is absolutely unacceptable. If you’ve ever sat in one, you know what I’m talking about. The early 2010s were a dark time for Toyota build quality.

    look at that "S" car go...it definitely needed a few more esses. I will always be boggled why (and maybe it's just Toyota and Subaru), that on a trunk, there is go grab handle/pocket to close the trunk. My GTI had two grab pockets on the hatch. Our CX-5 has one grab pocket on the right side. Our 04 Pathfinder (R50) had a grab/pull handle in the middle of the hatch door. It is not a hard concept, but it must be incredibly hard to engineer into a car...or engineers forget about functionality

    In 2013, Bmw is using an 8-speed automatic in the 7 series. Meanwhile, Toyota is playing it safe and using a 4-speed auto🧐

    For $18k that is insane! I never even liked this generation of corolla it's one of the worst generations of the corolla lineup. The 80s and 90s corolla were the best. I feel bad for the person that got ripped off and bought this car lol. This is maybe a $8k car tops and that is only if it's a one owner and accident free lol. Honestly, for $18k you might as well add $3k more and get the 2022 corolla hatchback it's much better made then this generation lol.

      Is it though I wanted another Corolla after my Altis’s first wreck this was the best out of all the ones I test drove it was either this the one after this which is what I was looking at in 2016 or another 2004 Altis just like mine and I choose to fix mine but still this cat drove nicer than the body style after it

      Corolla S was basically the normal Corolla with a bodykit. The XRS trim is the one you're thinking of. Looks the same as the S, but the engine was different and much stronger. Earlier XRS used the 2zz engine, but I think this gen used the one from the Camry.
