- I wanted to record this one really bad, so I did finaly.
This big boy is mounted in a store with a parking lot. It was fun to experience a siren test like this!

I think it's great that you recorded the siren test on the roof of the parking garage in Leiden, but please bring ear protection next time you plan to do it again because
because sirens go very loud and sound levels above 100 decibels can damage your hearing quite quickly

Any frequency under 300HZ is bad for the drivers. The sirens just carry far, though the 2008 isn't that loud. This 2008 probaly has blown drivers.

Je hoort tijdens de toon een soort gebrom wat wijst op dode speakers. Daarom zal hij niet zo hard klinken waarschijnlijk.

Ik denk dat gebrek aan onderhoud aan de speakers ze niet zo luid meer maakt, aangezien de gene in mijn wijk ook niet zo luid meer is als vroeger. Sinds 2015 vervangen ze volgens mij geen losse speakers meer omdat FS ze niet meer produceert. Ze willen het in 2025 natuurlijk ook afschaffen dus daarom zullen ze er geen geld meer insteken.

@@vincefundyfoxadventures1861 kijkend hoe vies die ook is lijkt ie me best al wat jaren er hebben gestaan. en alles gaat een keer kapot. ik zou ook geen vervanging vragen ivm dat je dan het risico loopt dat ze het weghalen.
