Unis is just a temporary group so this might be a just a stepping stone for her so if she audition on bigger companies they can already see that she has the talent and experience of being an idol
Seowon can handle herself well tbh, she debuted as a soloist prior to being in unis. It's not like she is new to everything. If anything, she is the most experienced on how the k-entertainment industry works aside from Hyeonju...
Yes and she's obviously in love with being an idol because she was a singer before being in UNIS so it's obvious she's loves being an idol even if she isn't popular.
Yeah and mistreat her there it's good that she's in starting company cause big ent right now is messed up while her current company right now is promoting them well and it's not too strict like other companies
That depends on if they renew their contracts after the official time is over, if they don't, seowon would be around 15 and still can debut again, if not then she stays in unis who she already probably has a good bond with the other members
You guys should put the same energy on child actors and actresses too. And you can't say that those two are not the same when both are still children and too young for that type of environment.
In my opinion being a child actor is ok if that’s what you want and also being a K-pop idol is ok too as long as you know what you are getting yourself into and also in the case of Seowon she debut as a trot singer when she was 10 in 2020 with solder dancer then after that she debut in unis from a survival show called universe ticket and has participated in some kid singing shows I think so with all that experience I think she has found what she wants to do and finds it fun so it’s ok
I guess the biggest difference is that Actors and Actresses in SoKor are well-respected. Idols are more prone to be criticized and hated for even breathing the same air as these fans' biases. So I think the concern for her debuting young as an idol is well-warranted.
She is so born to be idol. As long as they are taking care of her, she’s working on school eating well and the concept is appropriate i think its okay she seems really happy
There is another idol called Eve seo girl is only 12 and is soloist She debuted last year and her she sings songs about dating men much older than her... Honestly i feel companies should not debut idols under the age 15 (even thats too low) as they are slightly more mentally developed to deal with the harsh life in the kpop industry
Eve seo is not really a kpop idol, though that doesn't really make the situation any better since she's still an underaged singer who's being made to sing and promote MVs with older men involved. Her management is very questionable. On a side note, Seowon actually also debuted as a soloist before she joined unis, at a whopping age 9. Something is seriously wrong with Korea.
Though I do get the worries, but please be assured that the group Seowon is in has never had an age-inappropriate concept and clothes. And luckily enough, they landed in a company considered as the best company to that focuses on their employees welfare and fostering talented youth. They're also not under any restricted diets as they're given lots of snacks (them always saying how they eat lots) while making sure they eat healthy foods. They're also given ample rest time, having an almost week long break to go back to their countries to spend time with their families. Having breaks that they could even hang out with their friends and still go to school (seen on Yoona's personal vlog), in fact, they're also on a break rn, they don't have that much schedules. I agree that teens may not be always mentally prepared for every situation, but the company also ensures that they have frequent contact with their families & parents as to have people guide them along their journey of pursuing their dreams, where some members were seen off-schedules hanging out with their families watching concerts etc. I personally believe that they are being handled well so I hope people can see that they aren't being held against their will or forced to do things.
4th gen had groups that are nearly 7 years debuted with some of those idols having 7, 8 or even 9 years of training, who joined their company when they were the age she is now. She hasnt even been alive as long as some of those idols have been in the industry. Furthermore, unless she debuted at 6 years old as an active idol, she does not have more experience then "any of them" in the active idols industry. I think you meant to say 5th gen.
i agree that she's very young, and it's nice that everyone seems to be looking out for her. I just wish that their comments were a little less harsh on the company and the rest of unis. After all, unis is a very hardworking group full of talented members, so i dont think that being in the group wastes anyones potential. someday, im sure they will be recognized for their talent.

Since the law was passed after GPB's debut the maknae had to be put on hiatus until she reached suitable age. I wonder what happened to that law, and why are they allowing kids to debut?
Once people debut, saying stuff like "she should've waited a few years" won't help. There's nothing they can do now; the lineup is decided. I do believe F&F is doing well on managing the girls. Edit: Also now some people are hating on her for her age??😭I swear we have no right to hate on her, she's 13 and is lead vocalist in her group, has an iphone something max, and has already debuted before.

The too young debate works in most cases, this is not one of them. Seowon debuted as a soloist already. Even before Universe Ticket. It's not like she doesn't know anything about the industry. And she is also very talented. Like, I hate the "she is talented but she should wait a few years" argument from some people. Like, yeah she is talented now so why not debut now? to those who didn't know, Seowon is technically a senior in the industry since she was already a trot singer who appeared on tv since she was way younger.
shes adorable and talented and STILL to young to debute, she could be the most talented idol of all time but till shes atleast 17-18 shes not "ready to debute" cause shes still a child and shouldn’t work

If she dream about performing at bigger stages, why not do it now just like other famous idols did who are also started at young age.

as much as she is really young, she pretty is one of the members with most experience in the industry. I do think their company was taking care of them though as seowon seems to still be able to study while being an idol
But still she debuted just like a lot of young idols do, if they wanna protect her just don't criticize her for nothing like they are doing with gehlee, she is also a minor and young girl but still people are hating on her.
They r right what was the rush even the biggest groups like blackpink started thier training in 16 or 15 years of age 14 is also fine but just because u like kpop doesnt mean that u r gonna debut she is wasting her hardwork the best for her was to start her training at 14 or 15 and debut when she is a proper teenager not a literal child i am not hating her .like chiquita that debuted at 15 and that is still considered young just imagine if i like kpop its not gonna mean that i am gonna debut at 10 years old.
I think this is really nice but it’s the parents fault for putting her out there at a young age because she’s been on other competitions shows and she sang in the streets of korea at the age of like 8-9
Boa debuted on August 25th 2000 at 13 while her 14th birthday was on November 5th of the same year, at that time they were still using Korean age system, so she was 15 years old at time (Korean age) in her second year of middle school. Seowon debuted two months after her 13 birthday (14 Korean age) and she is in her first year of middle school in 🇰🇷 school system, So that makes seowon even younger than Boa when she debuted. And I know 🇰🇷 age system doesn’t exist anymore
Guys don't hate her and tell like this, it's her life it's her dream so she want to show her talent but unis is a temporary group and after wards she is going to join in other agency or in dramas so don't tell her she have to not rush ❤ I think you understand my comment
The Netizens forget that the Idols and Idols in training DO NOT have a choice "when they debut", "when they have a concert", "when they have interviews" or litterly have any contol over their professional careers. If you need to be concerned over this, direct it to the production company as it's NOT the Idol's decision. Don't end up Bullying the Idol.
this is such a weird video lmao "seowon wore something to the airport that sparked controversy. but actually that doesn't matter, people think she's too young to debut" don't get me wrong I agree she's way too young but I'm just confused why the video said it was gonna be about one thing and then ended up being something else completely 😂
Well u cnt deny the fact talent rise high !! Kids with special talent will go far in their fields wat evr age it is !! If ur good in maths u will sure to go in maths Olympiad
Why do people always brings up the big 3 companies to groups from newly built company/least popular company? As if they are the only company who can save an idol's future. Like who cares if you're popular or not? And who cares if your idol is popular but you guys (fans) are toxic and always looks down on least popular groups. Just be humble.
Isa sa nagustohan ko sa SB19 mahal at pinapahalagahan nila ang bawat isa...walang iwanan, lhat angat at damayan sila na prang pamilya...kya ramdam din ng A'tin.
I'm ngl, but this time knetizens are right, like her voice still hasn't finished changing, and with this INSANE diet idols have her health might go bad since she's still in her puberty phase.. she's even younger than me too 😭
People don't want her to debut as an idol. So would you rather her go busking and performing on the streets? Why don't you criticize the people that makes the entertainment industry unsafe for minors to debut? FnF handled UNIS concept to adapt to Seowon and other minor members. You guys should be blaming the predators and sick people on the industry, not young talents like Seowon. These are all unsolicited victim blaming narrative.
Seowon has the right by her self to decide if she wants to be an idol.. And seowon was already debuted as a solo artist/singer before she debut to unis
Please don't criticize a person who has talent and can debute. It's not her fault you're not talented enough to debute or be considered an idol. Seowon actually have already debuted in April 2021. Why didn't anyone criticize her back then?
Is Unis temporary group? How long is their contract? I hope she will have some time after end of her contract to be a regular teenager and spend some time with her friends and family.
I'm 100% ready to hear she's super talented, but not that she's completely ready for the idol wolrd. She's 13, she literally lost a baby tooth like a month ago, she's barely a teenager, thrown into an environment that will make her change, miss 'normal' or 'universal' milestones and occasions, and that might impact her education (let's all remember skz members graduating with like 3 third of the year spent not in school). Maybe it's just that Im soft, but even rn I wouldn't seen me being able to do a day in her shoes. Debuting idols so young is among the reason for the whole nj thing, they were young and the only adult 'protecting' them happened to be min hee jin, and she's manipulating them so. There should be laws for that tbh, like no one under 16 or 17. Who even needs 13 years old on stage, what's the point? Isn't it better to have mature artists with autonomy?
so it's not the outfit...it's about her age... people are just jealous of her. so what is appropriate for them? wearing diaper coz she is so young? BS ! people didn't know how happy she is right now.
It’s not that, it’s because the industry is shitty. A girl in her group passed out on stage from being overworked and it’s hard being a idol. They also worry that she might miss out of her childhood. But if she’s happy then I’m happy and I just hope she’s being treated right!
Guys why are saying this NOW 😭? UNIS already had their first comeback and its been ages to that too, a bit late dont you think 😅? Also why are we not saying this for other child actresses and idols. Practically every member (Except Hyeonju) in UNIS is under 18 or even lower, 16.
13 years old singing song about love is not right time, but often in K-Pop, they are sing about lust, so it is definetely not the right time. I think there should be law in South Korea that for debut in K-Pop group you need to minimum 16 years old.
They can renew actually their company really want UNIS to stay longer but they give UNIS a 2.5 years contract it's UNIS decision if they will renew or not
I literally DON'T get this, because weren't we talking about Seowon's visual and cute outfit? So why are the haters going about and changing the topic about her? The Seowon hate is getting out of hand, they say that she's too young. But have they ever thought about if she was too young to debut, then she would also be too young to get this much hate. 1st of all, it's not her fault for debuting, if your gonna hate, don't point it towards her. 2nd of all, doesn't everyone have dreams? And she fulfilled it. She's had vocal lessons and everything ever since she was just 3 years old. Her vocals are very high and stable especially for her age. She debuted as a soloist in 2021, She used to be a trot singer in 2020, and gosh that's not everything about her. If you're cut out to do it, then go for it. As long as it's legal and that you're ready. So she did that, she debuted with 7 more of her best friends who's been by her side since day 1. It's not like she just came out of her mom's womb. If the haters think that she's too young, then they should stop BABYING her, as in trying to protect her from the rude kpop industry but in reality, they ARE apart of the rude kpop industry. Trying to get her to leave UNIS to start focusing on her studies is "help?" put her dreams and health first, never her age. And I'm not defending her bc of "I like them younger" typa shi 😭, but I mean she simply has dreams. It's her life, her dream, and her future. + Hyeonju said she still goes to school at like 6 am so clearly she's working hard for her fans and classmates. Some haters are the one ruining things for themselves, because they should be appreciating all the work she's done to gain her talent that she still has today. Not acting all jealous. "She's too young" so embrace that. Because her voice, her dancing, her rap, her visual, her personality and everything else, she owns all of that even at 13. So embrace that. Don't push against her wall, you will never be able to break it in the end.

I think this is really nice but it’s the parents fault for putting her out there at a young age because she’s been on other competitions shows and she sang in the streets of korea at the age of like 8-9
Don't wait i support our Seowon even if she is young
They would be shocked when they find out BoA’s debut age
Boa debuted on August 25th 2000 at 13 while her 14th birthday was on November 5th of the same year, at that time they were still using Korean age system, so she was 15 years old at time (Korean age) in her second year of middle school. Seowon debuted two months after her 13 birthday (14 Korean age) and she is in her first year of middle school in 🇰🇷 school system, So that makes seowon even younger than Boa when she debuted. And I know 🇰🇷 age system doesn’t exist anymore
We protect seowonnie - evies
The random deja Vu fancam
Guys don't hate her and tell like this, it's her life it's her dream so she want to show her talent but unis is a temporary group and after wards she is going to join in other agency or in dramas so don't tell her she have to not rush ❤ I think you understand my comment
Chiquita 🤝 Seowon
Haters 🤝 Haters
The Netizens forget that the Idols and Idols in training DO NOT have a choice "when they debut", "when they have a concert", "when they have interviews" or litterly have any contol over their professional careers.
If you need to be concerned over this, direct it to the production company as it's NOT the Idol's decision. Don't end up Bullying the Idol.
Considering she debuted through a survival show, she kinda did.
I soooo love seowon ❤❤
Drama farminggggg. Who gaf about what Big 4 company stans say online
this is such a weird video lmao "seowon wore something to the airport that sparked controversy. but actually that doesn't matter, people think she's too young to debut"
don't get me wrong I agree she's way too young but I'm just confused why the video said it was gonna be about one thing and then ended up being something else completely 😂
Well u cnt deny the fact talent rise high !! Kids with special talent will go far in their fields wat evr age it is !!
If ur good in maths u will sure to go in maths Olympiad
I don't think any teenager would wear a skirt like that😭 looks hilarious
Why do people always brings up the big 3 companies to groups from newly built company/least popular company? As if they are the only company who can save an idol's future. Like who cares if you're popular or not? And who cares if your idol is popular but you guys (fans) are toxic and always looks down on least popular groups. Just be humble.
Or how about she have agency over her own decisions with her Parents?
13 years old is crazy 💀💀💀
The sped up ice cream 😂
Y'all concern but still buying and supporting, how do you think companies would stop? 😂
Can someone explaine to me? How having a jeans under a skirt is that a problem? im just curious bc i don't see any problem
I'm ngl, but this time knetizens are right, like her voice still hasn't finished changing, and with this INSANE diet idols have her health might go bad since she's still in her puberty phase.. she's even younger than me too 😭
Nobody :
No one :
Ai : C O 1
whats wronf with her airport outfit ??? 😂😂😂 the picture shows no skin 😂😂😂
How young is she for netizens to suddenly find issue with it? Most of your faves debuted as minors. I’m confused.
Technically she is a teenager.. thats why it is thirTEEN.. though yeah she is still young most teens these days wear those. Lol
People don’t realize that she’s been in the industry since she was like…8 or 9 doing trot. This isn’t new to her.
Seowon has the right by her self to decide if she wants to be an idol.. And seowon was already debuted as a solo artist/singer before she debut to unis
Omg😮 she s younger than my sister i can't believe that
Take note she debut when shes only 9 yrs old..
So shes more exp than the offtone idol group out there..😂
Time waits for no one, and your only getting older, if i had the talent i’d also start that young tbh
But i think being popular earlier would be good for her promotion to bigger company and would be faster to debut too
What does unis being only temporary mean? Is it a similar situation like Kepler?
She solo debut in 2021. She's their senior in the industry.
Please don't criticize a person who has talent and can debute. It's not her fault you're not talented enough to debute or be considered an idol. Seowon actually have already debuted in April 2021. Why didn't anyone criticize her back then?
She’s young, but tbh when Unis is over she’ll probably join JYP or something
Slowly it ll become kid idol
I’m 3 months younger then her and I’m gonna debut, nothing wrong tbh
Wow knetz being normal for once!
Is Unis temporary group? How long is their contract? I hope she will have some time after end of her contract to be a regular teenager and spend some time with her friends and family.
Why used be dressed appropriate, she just want to look to be cute not women's clothes, she act like a angel and dress like crazy
Bruh you should feel proud for her she worked hard just to be an Idole you would feel sad if you we're seowon guys😢
It’s not that, it’s because the industry is shitty. A girl in her group passed out on stage from being overworked and it’s hard being a idol. They also worry that she might miss out of her childhood. But if she’s happy then I’m happy and I just hope she’s being treated right!
I think many people are concerned of seowon...... Seowon is 14 and shes a minor
She’s 13
They only debuted seowon for the youngest idol
Isn't seowon already like a performer/celebrity starting when she was just like little? Younger than when she is now in Unis?
Guys why are saying this NOW 😭? UNIS already had their first comeback and its been ages to that too, a bit late dont you think 😅?
Also why are we not saying this for other child actresses and idols. Practically every member (Except Hyeonju) in UNIS is under 18 or even lower, 16.
This is the first time i actually lwk agree with knetizens.. wow
13 years old singing song about love is not right time, but often in K-Pop, they are sing about lust, so it is definetely not the right time.
I think there should be law in South Korea that for debut in K-Pop group you need to minimum 16 years old.
I really dont get the connection between the comments and her outfit... I get the context, just not why it's in a single video..
I don't get what's so bad abt the outfit?
It seems so strange for me. I’m her age, watching yt when I’m meant to be doing homework, and she an idol??? It just seems worlds apart.
Is UNIS TEMPORARY?????? WHY????
They can renew actually their company really want UNIS to stay longer but they give UNIS a 2.5 years contract it's UNIS decision if they will renew or not
13 YEARS OLD WHAT THR FUCK
How does this have to relate to her airport fit 😭?
