Wow nice! a I don’t even know what I want to be when I grow up I just started middle school last year and I want this year to be over so I can get a fresh start in school lol it’s been a pretty bumpy road for me this year- The only two things that interest me right now is being a lawyer or a scientist but I still can’t tell lol. And people still ask me what I want to be when I say I’m not sure-
I’d say med school is easier because terms can be broken down when referencing but when it comes to law, it’s word for word from the book if I’m not mistaken.
A friend of a friend is a lawyer in Vancouver area. I won't say what type of cases he works for fear of outing anyone but he earns $500/hr according to our mutual friend. The guy owns several properties and his wife loves to spend money. He's a humble enough guy to talk to and to see him you'd never think he has so much money...but $500/hr...man!
In Nigeria your colleague at work know how much you earn. Personally for me I don't tell people how much I earn, Only my parents and siblings know exactly how much I get paid at work.
You said well MO. Great info. Couldn’t have said it better. And that’s the point. Earn enough to make you happy, if not, change the profession. Even if you said how much you’re making, It won’t make a difference for people that really understands cause I know the taxes and bills in this country God help us!!! No wonder some people stay below income line. Great video love. 💕
In the US, attorney salaries are public knowledge generally. Well govt lawyer salaries at least are. It keeps people honest. I think private companies who keep salaries a secret can cheat their employees out of higher wages bc they can underpay 1 employee and overpay another if they dont know each other's baseline.
Hi, It also applies here in Canada. Salaries of public/ governmental employees are made public, especially if they earn over 100k. If they earn over 100k here in Canada, the Government releases a sunshine list of all it's employees in every municipality. I guess it's to keep employees accountable.
Hey Mo baby..😍 I knew you weren’t gonna disclose 🤪 I mean kolewerk!! But truth is Here in Nigeria I dunno how much my colleagues earn and they also dunno how much I earn 🙄 it’s a big secret here 🤷♀️
FYI: if you are a lawyer and you work for the City or the Government, the salaries are open for public viewing. Google is your friend.😊 On a flip side, everyone is secretive about how much they earn. Good job, Moyo. Your videos are quite informative.
Hey their hope you doing fine. Need some advise from you. I will be moving to calgary in coming months and will start look for articling position in law firms. Hi Kenneth, I went to Law school outside Canada (in Nigeria), where I was called to bar, then I arrived Canada and took the Canadian Bar Exams to became a lawyer.
Hello mam I am Studying b.com(Hons)+LL.b in India 5 years course and I wanna to continue my higher studies and work as lawyer in canada so what should I do mam?
Most Respectfully Dear Ma'am I really appreciate you for providing us useful information regarding law I have a question into my mind The question is.... Whether a 45 years old person can start a law practice in canada as a lawyer?? I shall be highly grateful to you if you answer my question. Regards: 🌹
Hello Sam, a 45-year-old can definitely start a law practice in Canada. But you will first need to take the NCA exams and go through the licensing process depending on the province you choose to practice in.
Hello Mizan, It depends on what your career goals are and if migrating to Canada aligns with them. I am writing an e-book called "NCA Starter Pack". This book will address some of the things you need to consider before immigrating to Canada to start the process of becoming licensed to practice law. After reading the e-book, you can decided for yourself if this is a path you want to follow. kindly send me an email askmoyosore@@t and I will let you know once the book is out.
Wages are confidential e.g. the trainee employee an experienced worker is assigned to train at work could even be earning higher than the experienced worker. It could create bad blood amongst co-workers.l, so it's kept hush hush.
Hello Adv, it depends on what route you intend to take. If you want to immigrate as a PR, you willl need to do an English test. If you intend to come in as a student, you might not need an English test but you would need to clarify this with the University you intend to apply to. I hope this helps.
Hey moyo, I think you are amazing and I bet you are an amazing lawyer 😀 ❤ I do think you should be able to tell others how much you earn. It is not a Canadian tradition to hold your income in secrecy. As a Canadian im not secretive how much I earn. And if people don't want to tell you how much they earn they really are dishonest. Its not polite to ask but if they are your friends and the culture you describe sounds more American then Canadian.

Asking someone how much they make is of none of your business. If someone asks me this question, I enjoy telling them "I'm sorry, but that's no one's business but my own."

If our prime minister instated an act not yet approved by the house can they not be charged under a criminal Justice act ..even if it's passed he instated the act before the process was voted for in house ..there are laws that he has to follow even with emergency acts in place and using actions under the act before it was passed should open him up for a criminal trial
