Rest the swim during the day, fishing was most productive at night only 2 takes in day light. try popping up tigers, because big voids in gravel, and a small piece of yellow to cap it all off. Follow this and I know your do well in front of the dead tree, all the best Scott
Gav Nutty Keep to the margin directly in front of you, walk around and spend some time looking for the fish, there are a number of cut outs in the trees where you can see them feeding.
hi guys can you tell me wot baits you were using rigs ect and when use were out there fished valdore many times im out there on 30th of may got swims 31 32 and 27 any good advice would be more than welcome guys cheers
maymay4511 Hello maymay4511, we was there at the start of may this year! all three rods we had fishing against the tree line in swim 31 dead opposite, the depths ranged from 5.4ft to 8ft deep about a rod length off the margin, there are many large trees growing out into the water as these were holding fish but it was not possible to get a bait in there for obvious reasons. The biggest bit of advice we could give anyone fishing those swims is to not rush to get your rods out when you arrive but to study the water you have available and make use of tree and margins i:e get climbing but stay quiet! find the fish before you bundle the bait in! We used a mix of 10mm 15mm and 18mm mainline cell baits along with tiger nuts, if you use the tigers don't use a lot as free offerings as it will fill the fish up quickly!! We used mixed particle and pellet as free offerings. Keep the pellet going in often, very often, every 2 hours put half a kilo over each rod, at the rate small pellet will break down this time of year all that will be left is tiny particles and sent! Our rigs were kept as simple as simple goes! Korda subline mainline to a inline 2oz lead with dark matter tubing, the hook link was kept simple by using the iq soft (7inches) to a size 8 new korda krank hook!! I hope that all helps pal.

Why do you say you need a bait boat?
Scott Phillips you don't but we found it to be really worthwhile getting into tight places where we simply could not of fished without one.
STEADY BAITING Ok mate, cheers - going in April next year & none of us have one
