the true enemy tried hiding the Jewels of the PE- I knew PE was still bringing that noise I had to go to youtube to find out myself. Thank you PE and Bring back Terminator X to join Brother DJ Ward
bobo shante the whole Trayvon incident sucks. a child was killed by a self entitled vigilante who was just light skinned enough to be classified as a white male with law enforcement background. neither of which is true. zimmerman should have come clean. way too much animosity in the wake of his actions. RIP Trayvon...
+bobo shante They are indeed protected by the Light.... very special brothers, with an exceptional mission, doing an exceptionable job. You know them saints too. Peace to the Bobo Shante
real rap is back!!!!!!! 1 dislike huh????? You jus can't please these lil wayne fans eh!!! Loool PUBLIC ENEMY-still in total effect boyeeeee!!!!!! Brilliant!!!!!!
For over 30 years now, Public Enemy carry on speaking the voice of the people who've been disillusioned by society they live in. No more proof needed that they are one of the all time greatest hip hop acts.
Their video for "Everything" got over 1 million views on TH-cam & I look back on TH-cam subscribers that was being very disrespectful towards PE?!?! YOU KEEP IT MOVING!!!
To me public enemy are the original masters, legends, inspirers ,of hip hop, political,to the point of what needs to be “said”,influencing music..they dig the dig ,pump up the sound, ruff up the beats ,that gets ya up of ya seats..the best in the field now and forever done, public enemy number 1..😀☘️🍇..when I last saw them flava flame 🔥 woz crowd surfing man(or starting to as his security watched over)...a very cool and intimate gig ...never forget it...
This is by far the best album that I've heard in a long long time, tells you how it is,I'm not black, these guys make me feel like there is no colour, just ppl who think outside the box and know what time of the day it is,fight the system,it's all corrupt, keeping it real
This is why I'm fighting in the war to save the children from these evil monsters who don't want to love the kids but give evil and pain may all their souls stay rotting in hell
Found PE when I was 10 34 + years later. Now 2020 riots going on - the message of back then rings true today. Public Enemy the best! Chuck D - Listen to his lyrics.
It's about time someone put US back on point .PE bring the NOISE!!!!!! To fight the POWER for the nation of millions who are trying to hold The TRIGGER
"Everything" is THE best track on this album, and the most awesome Sax Man in the world is on this track "Gerald Albright" please brothers tap in to this theory of lving, our riches are in our family and our peace of mind, it's very hard to manipulate or control a man when he is not entraped by materal gain, peace be with you!
One of the greater bands of my time.. I own the record but come to as many channels to push it= everyone that wants a revolution needs a good listen to the P.E.
Public Enemy No 1.Hip hop would be out of conscious if P.E one of the legacist revolutionary group still remain on the benchmark of hip hop history for conscious rap. Salute to P.E. Live n die for hip hop!
I grew up on PE's music, but let's get real. These dudes are stuck in a time warp. It's one of the main reasons that their biggest fanbases are the underground and disenchanted fans like yourself who crave nostalgia.
Man......can I live, everybody going back in forth with there opinion I love hop hop/wow where were all you people when hiphop could nt get played on radio!!!
Yeah I remember when Public Enemy first came out, before Rebel Without a Pause and Bring The Noise. It was when their first album was out and nobody knew who they were. They were interviewed in some magazine and Chuck D said that he wanted to create 5,000 Black leaders. I was young at the time, probably 13 years old but that was the first time I'd ever heard a rapper speak like that, with that kind of determination. Most rappers were just talking about getting girls and living the life.
Well, I have 53, and have 2 vynils Of them, still today, and still love It.... It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back.... And Fear Of A Black Planet.... It's Great !!!!!!!
P.E massive..!!!!!! ... Chuck you moved it on...respect man.... an Flava killin it still.. fuckin hell man, P.E since i was 17 an wah!!! that was 30 years ago an still wah!!! Pucklechurch 85..Zico
Don't give a damn what anyone says, PE is the greatest rap group in the history of rap. I listen critically and I critique harshly. They have had some busts, "New Whirl Odor" was one, but this ain't one. This is hot. Loving the song with Ziggy. The beats and live music makes me look forward to the next tour.
As one of the oldest hip hop heads around (Had the honor of hanging with Mix Master Ice and had RUN DMC at my sisters house in Jersey numerous times), your commentary on PE is pretty factual, but perhaps you recall an article back at the height of PE'S success in which Chuck D himself said the relevance of PE would diminish over time. The fact they don't have multiu platinum albums is irrreleveant in light of the fact that they produce QUALITY, real Hip Hop. Sales do not define SUBSTANCE.
Chuck kept his nose clean, kept writing, just stayed steady. He kept reading, kept listening, just kept on being Chuck....And just keeps on getting better. Clean all that Miley (sigh) rust outtah your head, you young rappers, let your nuts drop and write some real lyrics....that means read a book and watch the news and investigate the ingredients of the shit sandwiches they are serving. Then put your pen to the paper. WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE REAL RAPPERS?
PE has never done things like everyone else. I love the live music (The Banned!). Everything on the radio today is the exact same. This is live and real hiphop/soul/funk.
real hip hop heads still live!! comments from as recently as today. IF YOU'RE ON THIS PAGE, congratulations. long live NYC hip hop that is WORTH OUR WHILE.
they came back, and way more aggressive than in "most of my heroes". i really liked their new stuff. i had to make some space to sync it on my zune. cheers and respect to everyone.
I actually feel a wholesome sense of peace listening to P.E. The fact that they give voice to the marginalized and disenfranchised in such plain and honest terms that spare no spurn while sounding so altogether funky and soulful... well, it's just pretty rad, brah. Pretty rad.
we all know what the truth is its having the balls to say it and not give a funk wot they think .roll on pe .bought my first p.e . 12 inch in 1986 they were shit hot then and still are
must have been 1990 or so... i´ve seen a symbol on a wall, stating Public Enemy ...went to a shop, seen an Album by a group with that Symbol... felt a strange fascination for that music... it was "yo! bum rush the show" :) "Evil Empire" sounds like the logical evolution of that ^^ Peace from Germany
Best Hip Hop of recent times...Make a New Album in 2015, and get THE E.O.P, Dizzy Wright and Joey Badass, with King Los, on tracks Public Enemy, it's needed !!!!
