Joe rogan is UFC.
"If they don't care you aren't making any money." Pretty profound Uncle Chael. You should get on Patrick's Valuetainment podcast. You guys would really get along well.
Whoever dislikes Joe Rogan publicly I hate their guts forever. Joe has a black daughter. The woman who made the compilation ruined her life and future.
American sports commentary is so fucking bad
I wish Chael would do more live fight commentary. He is one of the best. I'm curious why he doesn't... Why not call some fights Chael??
Anik also holds the record for most times referencing a fighters ongoing custody battle for seemingly no reason at all. A legend for sure.
That's so true there is a clip on TH-cam about Anik saying that both of the fighter's in the octagon were in a custody battle 😳 😀 😉
He just calls it likes he sees it lol
Yeah what the fuck was that lmao
i like anik but that was left field like a mf totally uncalled for
The fighters literally ask anik to make mention of that. Look it up. Anik ain’t out here tryna just dox people
Rogan's voice is synonymous with the UFC. The sound of his voice and the excitement it brings adds enormity to the event. That's nobody else's fault and you can't really blame the fans of the sport for being disappointed if he's not Cageside. It lessens the experience when he's absent. That Chael referenced Joey Diaz as an example is what makes him next level. Compliments Sir
That’s because Joe is the only colour commentator the ufc has.
Joe bisping and anik would be perfect get dcs pc old boring ass out of there
I'd rather have Bisping commentating than Rogen, its 2022, the UFC has moved on, the commentary team needs to move on.

Bisping is like all the ex-fighters that can call a fight and are good at the mic a godsend. This is one of many areas where MMA excels over boxing but Joe is a once in a lifetime gift. A professional entertainer and comedian as your hype guy who has the world's most influential podcast and who is a serious martial artist who loves it and is passionate about it. That will never happen again. Nobody can duplicate that.
The pay between MMA and BOXING is not comparable.
Doesn’t mean MMA is above Boxing.
Boxing will always have a bigger more impactful history in the US and how it impacts American history, how it impacts American lives than MMA.
@@robert2690 nah. Not at all mate. Boxing’s biggest fighter aside from Fury and Canelo, is Jake Paul, stuff your bias opinion up yours. Mma is already becoming what boxing wishes it was. Nobody talks about how good dan hardy is at commentating. Really underated
Any idea why he got sacked?
Too emotional. When he screamed at the Ref to stop fight interjecting himself in the fight was cringe worthy. Very unprofessional. Then he double downed when he was criticized for it.
@@JimAssalone Lmao that happens every late stoppage. The commentators are always yelling to stop it when the ref lets it go too long.
Always hitting the nail on the head, great stuff Uncle Chael
I think it will be a little awkward if Joe interview black fighters Chael. This is bullshit. Chael quick to record a video bout Jon Jones from an arrested to a tweet but yet Chael punched a woman in the face gets a past. And Joe Rogan says something racist and he gets a pass. Chael even reported on chuck Liddell case. Chael a fake person hypocrite women beating Republican who only serves people who has money. (Joe Rogan Dana White)
Rogan is even worse than Bisping.
I could see Rogan removing himself from the event bc he didn't want the controversy to take away from the attention the fighters should be getting.

I haven't agreed as hard with a Chael video for a while. Absolutely correct.
Aside from the Izzy fight, at the end of Roxy's retirement fight Bisping was talking for waaaay too long about how she did not win that fight. Anik is right. For most fighters, the memories and the videos are all they will eventually take from this sport. She didn't deserve that much grief on her final video.
I like Bisping, but he doesn't have the greatest control over what comes out of his mouth. A double edged sword.
I hope Roxy sees this, bro ❤️
Nailed it
I've sled behind a bit on my UFC and I haven't watched that fight yet but your criticism is probably true. That being said, from what I've seen I would easily say that Joe has less control over what he says than Bisping.

Micheal Bisping is one of my favorite fight commentators, but with Rogan it changes the whole atmosphere and for the ufc he is THAT guy. That’s not to take anything away from Bisping, I think he does a better job than DC, Cruz, and Felder. I think people were more mad at how DC and Bisping were calling it one sided for Izzy as if Izzy was destroying Whittaker, when the audience could tell it was a close fight and that the commentators should have praised Whittaker more.
I don''t think that is correct because I saw it even more one sided than they did. The truth is more likely that there is no such thing as an "audience". It is millions of people with millions different views but because that is too complicated for any human to handle we take an average and reduce it to something like "the audience could tell it was a close fight". He should not had explained himself because that validates to others that there really is an "audience" that thinks with one mind. It is a ridiculous way to look at the world and it simplifies anything to a point where you become ignorant.
I wasn’t listening to the commentary and have Izzy 4-1. I’m not counting those takedowns that amounted to nothing. This isn’t mma of 5-10 years ago.
@Shaan Naafir ignore that aloe vera goober. Dude is the village idiot of the MMA community.
Actually Bisping and DC both said it was a close fight. They gave round 1 to Izzy and round 5 to Rob. The other rounds they thought Izzy edged. So 4-1 or 3-2 to Izzy - which is what the judges and majority of viewers saw.
He literally said several times that it was a close fight. However he did say that Izzy was winning every round but barely.
Ariel might be right. ESPN is calling the shots about Rogan being not there.. Not Dana.
Texas is the closest fight for Rogan too. Sure seems strange.
Rogan does seem like the kind of dude who’d take the weekend off to avoid bad press, tbf. Not because he’s afraid to get cancelled or anything, but because the card deserves the attention and not him.
If Dana is defending Joe from Disney, I'm sure he would from ESPN as well. Seems like Joe jus didn't wanna be in the spotlight for that card. It's his choice and I may not agree, but I'll support it.
@@timboned5305 Disney doesn’t give a shit. They’ve made questionable cartoons in the past.
@@timboned5305 I might be wrong on how this all works but: If Disney own the majority of ESPN, which they do, surely defending Joe from Disney is the same thing as from ESPN? They call the shots, right? In regards to your last point there, I think there's definitely a chance that Joe just didn't want to be there on this particular occasion.
Like I said, I'm no businessman so I could be totally wrong and ESPN are independent of Disney(at least in terms of creative license) in spite of Disney owning most of their business.
@@chitoes1707 Disney owns everything, including ESPN. They give lots of shits.

Bisping has a bad tendency of rambling for 1+ min. At UFC 271 Daniel had to cram his commentary in when he could and Anik could barely talk.
Typical Brit. They love the sound of their own voice. Add in his desire to join the Hollywood weirdo group and its that much worse. There's a reason his last podcast partner dumped him and that dude was a burned out drug addict. I despised Bitchping as a fighter for years then started listening to his podcast a couple years back. It totally reaffirmed everything I thought about him previously. Difference is now he tries to be as woke as possible to gain acceptance from hollywierd. Definitely don't let him babysit for you now.... I'll always appreciate him for being part of the greatest knockout in UFC history. Anytime I feel a little down a just watch Hendo drop him and follow up with that flying forearm. All a sudden my problems don't seem nearly as bad. If he'd drop the fake wokeness angle I think he'd be tons of fun to hang out with. He's just too scared of being canceled now. Pretty much there exact opposite of Joe Rogan.
@@boduke9428 you're an obsessed weirdo. Bisping is a legend
Joe has that tendency also. Especially him and Daniel together can go on some pretty long tangents with almost no relevance.
How is no one talking about how he said Zabits name. Omg I’m rolling over that one. Zabit magomedcherryapov
Joe Rogan has been so grateful for his job since day one. That energy is contagious. Mike is a fighter and that what he does. Always.
Nah Bisping picked heavy favorites every matchup. I realize Joe does that too but Bisping was saying stuff like “this fights over” when it had a minute left and both people were still competing. He needs to chill on that.
Yea his Izzy commentary was pretty ridiculous too. He was saying he couldn’t see how they could score a round for Rob, which is dumb af. He won round 5 EZ and there were few close rounds, but Bisbing was convinced it was a blowout and just kept saying it wasn’t close while Cormier was trying to tel him it was a lot closer than he thought.
And I had money on Izzy and thought he won before the Stan’s come after me.
@@macq3425 no no he said that the fight isn’t close because izzy wins every round (was around the 3rd). I think where Joe really shines is in the fighter walkouts. No one hypes a fighter up better as they are walking out than Joe does. Best commentary was Joe and Goldy. Pure excitement and actually describing what they were seeing.
Now commentary is all about narratives and they end up often glossing over what's happening in the fight.

Actually, what Bisping did was pretty much objectively wrong for a caster to do. At least formally, a caster is suppose to continue to hype up the match, while accurately calling it. You can do both. You just need to reframe it. Bisping's commentary was more like: "damn...big sigh But see Rob's just not throwing combo's....This is the first fight all over again....Rob lands a big shot...he landed that, but then he won't follow it up!
This is an accurate cast perhaps, but it's completely negative, and deflates the excitement of the fight. And what happens if Rob lands a lucky punch and TKO's Izzy? You look terrible in your cast. Ideally, you give accurate information, and reframe it as: "Rob needs to do x if he wants to find success, there's some good punches from Rob, but he has to continue to be more active. He's doing a good job of x, and hitting hard."
A caster is suppose to assume the game/fight can go anyway, because upsets and turnarounds happen all the time, and if you cast it like "well this fight is over" you will look really dumb over the years, and it kills excitement. Bisping definitely did deflate the excitement for me, listening to 90% negative comments, with a negative tone, "tsk'ing"...etc. And I wanted Izzy to win. He should analyze other casters, from other games, and understand how to convey what's happening in the fight (or game), but build excitement with it: Can Rob do it? Rob's takedowns are working until he tries to establish ground control, Can he find another avenue for success? What is that? Clinche'ing and throwing from the breakaway? (as an example). Explore Rob's options as some of the things he's doing isn't finding success, and keep exploring ways the loser can win, while staying within the realm of an accurate cast. Obviously if it's super one sided, then the fan will distrust the caster if he lies to them completely about the chances...etc But casters job is to build interest and hype, not deflate it. Still love bisping tho.
Joe : yeah well he is getting OUTSTRUCK
Honestly, love your analysis. However, see, I think this is the crux of where former champs SHOULD focus their commentary more, instead of trying to conform to a more neutral, Anik, Fitzgerald, or Rogan vibe. They don't always have to agree, and more varied perspectives can often give us more options, as fans. I was ALSO quite annoyed at how gunshy Rob was, only seeming to throw jabs. Yet, afterwards, it seems like he has a surprising following arguing that he did the right thing. It's honestly kind of difficult to figure out how much of that is honest fan assessment and how much is just Bobbie Knuckles being a cool dude and assuming that other people are, too. Either way, while I did tend to agree moreso with the 3/2 scoring, I was not at all put out by the potential 4/1. I'll add, though, that the future analysis I've seen since has had me more up in the air than I almost ever am, about the overall winner of a fight. Izzy for sure won, but it wasn't impressive, and when an argument can be made for Bobbles winning, an immediate rematch is in order.
@@rekanpayne6606 That line was a blatant lie at that point. very frustrating fight
That's a very good critique. I think he got frustrated seeing a gameplan so close to success.
