    Sewing with lace fabric can be a tricky process which can require problem solving. In this video, Jo is on hand to share her recommendations for how to sew with lace fabric, including beaded and sequined lace as well as how to assemble pattern pieces efficiently to fit the pattern or to sew using a lapped technique. It’s important to consider how to cut the lace to keep the design intact, the correct needles for your machine and stitch length to ensure that the lace can feed through the machine without issue.

    Are the cutting shears the same but you ribboned them based on how they have been used? Does something happen to the cutting edge when you cut thick material vs thin fabric?

      Hi Nikki, the cutting edge does get more blunt with thicker fabrics but I mainly use two pairs because thicker fabrics force the blades open a bit and then the blades are too loose against each other for fine fabrics. The scissors I use have a nut on which can be tightened if your scissors start to rattle. Hope that helps.

      Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the picture quality. The videos are all proof watched so I wonder why yours might be fuzzy.
