Moments like these are what makes the experience feel so good. Remember, it's the journey not the destination. She'll be making noise before you know it...!

Nice explanation. Is it possible to choose VCAL once the Garmin has VNAV installed? Or to choose between both? Thanks

No. But vnav is much better to have. Vcal its only for calculations. This is both. I have actually vcal. Looking foward for vnav with a garmin 650 AP

Thank you for video! But is this a real life Garmin features or just a Garmin PC Trainer? I have a RealityXP GTN 750 based on Garmin PC Trainer for Flight Simulator and I have no a feature "Altitude Range Arc" (green banana), but in this video it presents. Thank you!

Descent vertical navigation (VNAV) is available across several Garmin products, like the GTN Xi navigators and Integrated Flight Decks. Thank you for your interest. ^DK

Altitude Range Arc is a relatively new feature. As the system software updates, new features are added. Garmin is constantly adding cool new features.

VNAV doesn't work on the RealityXP trainer. At least as far as I've seen. Tried it several different ways and could never get it to work.

My way of planning vertical navigation is much easier and cost NOTHING! It is based on the four basic matematical calculations. Plus, minus, multiplication and division. No extra devices required. Your ambition and ability to head count while flying.
On top of that your position awareness improves when you understand how it all is set up.

We added a segment about vertical guidance to the FAF in the longer version. Thanks for checking out our videos and being a Garmin customer!

How about a updated video with the latest software? My customers are HAMMERING me with questions regarding loss of Vnav functionality after latest software.
