    Oh wow those class 90s! I hope to capture some in the summer! Brilliant video! The effort that you, South Coast Level Crossings, South East Level Crossing channel and many others put into your videos is so amazing and epic! Well done! 👏🏻😎

      Thank you 👍 It takes a lot of time and effort to make videos and run a channel but it's so worthwhile when people enjoy your content

      Thank you 😁 I find this one quite interesting given the very high frequency of trains passing here, and the 100mph line speeds

    Nice! I've got this one on my list if videos ready to put on YT in January with some other nearby ones! Those E2S Apello alarms are getting kind of annoying as they aren't going away! Give some Farncombe Bourne Road alarms to new crossings, anything but those E2S Apello ones!

      Thanks. They do seem to keep appearing through new upgrades every now and then. I would much rather have the e2s variants used at Farncombe East over the more common ones. Hopefully the rest of the crossings on the resignalling programme will obtain these.

    Nice videos! It's nice to see this class of train still running up and down this line on the odd intermodal after their withdrawal from passenger services in 2020.

      Thanks 😁 Yeah, good to catch this loco after they spent years on the Intercity services between London and Norwich

    Why are there so little electrified railways in the UK, compared to other countries such as Belgium and The Netherlands?

    • @UKLevelCrossingsChannel
      @UKLevelCrossingsChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well the UK has a lot more miles of railway than the likes of Belgium and Netherlands, and it's possible that the UK has just been slower than others electrifying our rails. Whilst the core high-speed mainlines are all electrified, there are a lot of rural lines that only have one or two trains an hour on a typical schedule. So I'd say there's quite a few miles of track that wouldn't really benefit from electrification if it helps answer your question.

      A good example is The Port of Felixstowe, which isn’t electrified and neither is the branch line. People say it should be electrified but then the line beyond Ely towards Peterborough isn’t electrified.
      It’s simply unethical in some cases

      Yeah, it does overhang a little bit so wouldn't be surprised if it's been hit once or twice.
