Nice repair. You are still doing things old school and there is nothing wrong with that, its time proven and it works. When I started in the metal trades, I used to do repairs that way, but it's amazing how far technology has come in my lifetime, now I use a computer controlled lazer to weld up the shaft and my lathe is so accurate that I can turn the bearing fit perfectly, no file work needed. Keep up the good work.👍
