7:00 However, it seems you're not a huge fan of the Caro-Kann for Black, even though it leads to a huge variety of instructive, asymmetric middlegame positions, pawns structures etc. Playing with the IQP, against the IQP, hanging pawns, with doubled f pawns, against space advantage, with the Carlsbad structure etc. Why is this?

Two fantastic games! Sad to see my beloved Grunfeld defeated in game 1, but White played wonderfully, for sure.

Toth's chess courses changed my chess life. They taught me how to play very spirited, aggressive, exciting, attacking chess, most importantly that makes logical sense. One of Toth's biggest strengths is that the style he advocates for just makes sense. Develop your pieces to active squares. Seize the center. Grab the initiative and get that king! These two games are marvelous examples of the style of chess that Toth teaches. Very exciting and fun play!
One key idea that I took from Toth is that one ought not to shy away from playing many different setups / pawn structures. Don't narrow your repertoire. Widen it. Take in the beauty that this amazing game has to offer. Why take a black and white television (the london system), when you can have one with a full range of color (Toth's 1. d4 course, as an example).

I just listened to your London system rant. I've been using it and getting a bit bored. Great comments, hard to argue against
Working through one of your chessable courses. Great stuff

I didn’t know you were on Chessable. I only hung out there for a couple months doing some Catalan courses over a year ago. Might roll back around to see what the great Andras has to offer. As always, thanks for another informative upload.

Sweet games! I think my favorite lines in your d4 course are the ones against the Ragozin - definitely worth checking out (unless you’re my OTB opponent).

    Hello coach,
Are the repertoire lessons only on chessable?
Is it possible to have the repertoire on a paper book and not on an ebook?
Where can I order your paper books ?
I'd also like to know if you have a schedule for streaming on Twitch?
Thank you for the quality of your videos !

Nice games! I loved this repertoire. I thought the name was a little mis-targeted. I think the course is in fact pretty much ideal for intermediate club players to switch to (or rather, to add) 1. d4 if they're curious. That's what I did.
To be honest, the only thing I ever truly miss about 1. e4 is the Sicilian. So I've recently been toying around with starting 1. Nf3 in order to allow 1. ... c5 2. e4, while just mostly transposing to the rep with 2. d4 otherwise. In retrospect, d4 mainlines plus open sicilian is probably the largest possible white repertoire, but... it's still fun to get the occasional sicilian and I can recommend it!
