It’s done purposefully to deter you from leaving. You gotta remember you scrolling through Instagram for just a couple minutes makes them money. You scroll through lots of ads without even realizing it, cable companies do a similar bs when you try to leave them too.

There’s an easier way hit the settings and privacy tab, in the search bar at the top, type in delete and the rest is self explanatory. 😊

1. Click on the three line on your top right corner
2. Setting and privacy
3. Account centre
4. Personal detail
5. Account ownership
6. Deactivate
7. Choose permanent or temporary
Note: Delete means permanent, deactivate means temporary
