He was the one who helped to deliver the baby boy. Jason got there in time before Peter pulled the trigger. He also hit him over the head, when he wanted to shoot Anna. Anna had some explaining to do. She told Peter she was his mother. But he did not believe her. She had to give the details of his birth. And she gave him up to a loving couple. But the adoption was illegal, so Valentin for took advantage of taking the baby away to give to his father for revenge on Anna. But Peter though she betrayed him but it was Valentine all along. She did explain more at the police station. Then she would not testify against Peter cause he was her son. She has protecting Peter ever since. I just hope now he realizes that she loves him very much . As much as a mother who loves her son. Not the one they are about to give him. Who only loves herself and is crazy and evil. So glad he is more like Anna then Alexandra. He does care about his family , mostly on Anna's side with the exception of Alexandra who he will hate more than he thought he would. He knows now that his life is changing very soon. Here comes the tears . They are both emotional beings, and now the real love they have for one another will pour out.
I think I remember them saying that Valentin, back in the day when he knew Anna, used to have a speech impediment and a hunchback. I noticed in this scene his stutter came back.
