Grazie!
LOVE your intro quote - so very true! Some repeats from your other amazing compilations but everything works so perfectly together, enjoying every minute, warmest thanks!
All cultures of humanity have their evolving parts, some more and some less. Western culture, however, is truly steeped in futility, which we absorb without realizing it. We must be able to learn to see life with our eyes, hear it with our ears, and perceive it with our minds, creating our own ethics that develop our sense of evolution in the best possible way, without falling into excesses that destroy us. Such a thing is very difficult to achieve, but it is the right direction to take, so we must fight for it, even in this society that is more and more full of consumption rather than creation!
@@EuphonicAlchemy Os Guinness, a Christian philosopher and author puts it quite well when he says, "What's done us in is captivity to the distortions of the advanced modern age". I think it would be helpful if each of us actually took some time and separated ourselves for a time from all the things that we think are necessary but are merely the products of our culture and are not the timeless and universal necessities that truly define the "good life".
@@CSUnger I think it is more complicated than that. No doubt what you write and what the aforementioned philosopher wrote makes sense, a sense of benevolence towards our being and towards the search for the meaning of the "good life". The problem is that no one can say with certainty what the maximum rules are for achieving this. From here on, the discourse can become very auric and transcendental or even utopian, but in the end we, as human beings, are searching for such things. What I can say from my humble experience is that there is only one thing that I think I have learned with certainty. There is only one thing we all have to fight against, and that is unnecessary suffering, and from there we are all adrift in this thing we call life. But yes, we need to be more present in everything we do, giving meaning to the time we spend, not just wasting it.
@@EuphonicAlchemy Ah, there it is again. That Postmodernist Relativistic assumption that "no one can say with certainty..." No wonder we are adrift here in the West. If it cannot be discovered, then why bother oneself with searching? Let us "eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die". I will leave it there.
@@CSUnger Well I didn't say I think this way, I'm trying to summarize some kind of modern thinking, however, yes I think you're right , maybe I also need to stop seeing it this way and have the courage to make the necessary change. Excellent introductory message. Too often our culture is bombarding us with nothing but negativity and that distorts the soul.
