I agree. In my area which I'd say is pretty much on par with Blackpool due to years of decline, I often help the homeless. One day, I happened to see a couple of homeless guys sat on the floor near to one of the banks. I chatted to them and I bought them food, drinks and I gave them some money. They told me they'd not spend the money on alcohol or drugs. I said to them at the end of the day, it was none of my business or anyone else's what they chose to spend the money on that I'd given them. I told them within conversation that who the hell was I or any one for that matter to judge anyone. I then went on to say, that I was well aware as to how bad the system actually was/is. Basically, we have a couple of organisations that are supposedly there to help the less fortunate but all they offer is lip service nothing more. There was also another homeless guy who I used to help too. He was an ex veteran and was such a lovely guy. I found out after Christmas last year that he'd save enough money that people had given him so that he could get out of the area. I heard he went to London with the hope of eventually getting back on his feet due to no form of assistance in the area that I currently reside. We had many conversations and I said to him, this could be any single one of us that fall on hard times and end up living on the streets. I'd like to think that if ever I ended up in that situation that there would be some kind people out there that would help me. What really riles me is that so many people out there are so quick to judge the homeless. So many people automatically reach the conclusion that 'all' homeless people are all junkies and alcoholics. That simply isn't the case. It breaks my heart to see so many people without a roof over their head. This day and age, no one should be without the basic essentials in life. I really don't like the way the UK is heading. The Country is beginning to look like a third world Country. I just hope and pray that things improve. Even if they did, it's going to take a couple of decades to turn things around due to years of deliberate neglect. I used to go to Blackpool every bank holiday years ago. I always had a fab time over there and the people were so genuine, down to earth and welcoming. It's so sad to see how bad things have become over there.
He would have got it somewhere else anyway so that makes it okay then? Drug dealers are okay then because they’d only get it from someone else? What a way to think about things.. I struggle with alcohol myself and I tell you know it’s good for nothing absolutely nothing.
The UK has always struggled with a significant alcohol problem. Unfortunately, it's unlikely to be addressed because drinking is so deeply ingrained and normalised in our culture.
its not a big problem compared to other problems we have such as immigration for example, but hey its easier to talk about booze than immigration so yea, we are all alcoholics i guess, yawn
I'm only a few minutes in to the video, but the young lad on the very expensive E bike and jacket was 100% eyeing up snatching your camera. Just watch his approach ... If that was a phone - it would be gone and the fact you held it away from him during his epic "we have to survive out here" chat, means it's still in your possession. He's out thieving and robbing and he'll soon go back to his mums council paid flat, with food on the table and an Xbox99 under the Christmas tree.
Fagin from Bang&Olavson store had sent him out tbf I don't think he meant any harm. a lot of these kids are just board trying to survive the street on his five grand E bike 😅
I noticed that, too. But, I also noticed he was wearing a super expensive designer winter jacket - the most expensive kind you can buy in America. And, that E bike could not have been cheap. Seems like the kid's problem is that the kid's heros and role models are thieves and that's the path he sees to prosperity. Seems like the kid of probably a single mom with a good job that listens to too much gangsta rap music and doesn't get smacked by his mom enough.
You can't judge people like that. Yeah, it's possible, but he didn't. He's maybe just a streetwise kid. Tons of kids like that knocking about most places.

So many pubs gone where I grew up. I'll always remember them thriving back in the 90s when I was a young'un. Now all turn into bedsits/flats, convenience shops or just left empty. Rotting away.
@@MelissasArt A friend of mine moved overseas because he didn't like the way the UK was going. He left in 2005 and returned to see family around 2016/2017. @vanessahenderson1850 It's the same old story all over, isn't it? I find it tragic. I always say the 90s were the last good decade for the UK. I was born in 85. So, I was lucky to have seen them. On a recent visit to Blackpool I couldn't help but notice that there is quite a few ongoing housing developments, hopefully not all gloom and doom for this place that holds so many memories for so many people.
I had a family holiday for a week in Blackpool in 1981; I was 11 at the time. Had a great time. The highlight was seeing Ken Dodd perform under the tower and from memory he was hilarious. I visited a few times since, as an adult, and it seemed to get tackier on each visit. Sad to see it in its current state though as I still have a soft spot for the place, due to that family holiday. NEOLIBERIALISM , the UK and the US were the laboratory for this new economic / political theory whereby the free markets will allocate resources better, govt should get out of the way , better to privatise everything and hand it to private equity . That was by design and started in the 80's . Worth reading bankruptcy bubbles and bailouts and the vassal state as these do a really good job of depicting how we got to where we are. The UK truly reflects the US with its juxtaposition of immense wealth and immense poverty
It’s sad, I left England in 1981 and it just seems no one has pride in the country any more, the state of the houses and the streets is unimaginable for me, there just seems to be a overall attitude of giving up with it all
42 years ago, you left? Sorry fella, you don't get to talk about any of this. You left. Can't be crying about being British, all for nationalism when you haven't stepped foot on God's green land in 40 odd years. All the best, a Labour voter.
I'm a bit like yourself Wendall, used to go Great Yarmouth and Cornwall as a kid. Then camping in my teens Paignton and Torquay and places were banging everywhere. The good old days. The country has been neglected by corrupt councils and governments who simply fill their own bank accounts. If I could pop back to the 70s, 80s and early 90s with my niece and nephew I think they'd think they were in paradise lol. No drugs no stabbings and low crime. Shame on the politicians and councils.
You're so right in all you say. Governments and Councils simply don't give two hoots about us. It's disgusting what they've been doing over the years. I actually feel ashamed of where i live and ashamed of what a state the country has become. I feel so sorry for the youngsters. As things stand, there's no future, no hope for them. It's heart breaking to see such a rapid decline of the UK.
@vanessahenderson1850 I don't think it's to late just yet but we need someone with a brain to take charge of our country. Deport foreigners in our prisons, deport Islamic haters and anybody who comes to our country to do wrongful things. Let's keep our fingers crossed aye.
I got bikes when I was that age , I found them easy to buy for some reason I had a KDX an 4 Yamaha DT125R from about 16 to 20 , all of them had no frame number though, stolen an recovered, but I made one better than a YZ
Good on ya for buying him what he actually needs. He’d have got hold of it anyway, maybe even have tried to rob and get himself into bother. Addiction is brutal. So many people buy someone a cheap McDonalds or a Greggs and feel pleased with themselves. That isn’t what people want or need.
I don't see what 'wokeism' has got to do with anything in rundown towns and cities. It's a term that has lost all meaning. If people can't be bothered to go places like Blackpool and spend money then this is what happens... What's happened to our culture and society IMO is that large parts of society just don't care anymore, these people then have children without these values and the problem compounds & grows.
I too have rose tinted glasses of Blackpool from my childhood but that era is gone. These towns are deserted sadly due to changing behaviours in this country - I live in Bournemouth and we're eyeing this up over the next 10 years to be honest. As soon as the hotel economy collapses then all the cottage around them folds. Good on you buying that lad some voddy; no shade there. He's an addict and you helped him.
I've lived in Blackpool for a while just of Bond Street in fact....the council only cares about the tourists, hence the bright lights of the prom and it's attractions.... but once you get off the strip then it's decay....
As with all our big seaside towns , when everyone went on holiday in UK, the towns boomed but now it's ridiculously expensive to stay in our country. Caravans, Airbnb, hotels all expensive and when you go out for a meal, we are not far off Scandinavian prices but on a lot less wages. Hence we go abroad. Given, tourism was the main business on the seaside, when that goes ,nothing has replaced it and so we get these seaside ghettos
It’s got the best beach around….thats why it’s big…once the southern Landlords have bought up all the streets, the area will be known as little Mayfair..
That last street all boarded up with the Tower in the background! Crazy! How close it is to the main "heart" of Blackpool! I have been going to Blackpool for 30 years nearly Must have been over 25 times and I have noticed the change massively. Late 90's it was buzzing.
Ahhhh Blackpool, so sad, I have so many fond memories of visiting here with my grandparents. So sad to see it in decline, but unfortunately if the council don't put any money into it the place it will only get worse. I'm taking my grandchildren after Christmas for a few days, definitely going to avoid certain streets 😢😢😢
Another great but very worrying video. I haven't lived in the uk since 2008. I find it very disturbing how much the uk has declined. I still have family living in the uk, and it's a worry how it's all going to end. Like you, I have many happy childhood memories of the places you visit. Something has to change before life for those still in the uk slips to the point of no return. It's a mess.
Boy was wearing a £200 Canada Gooses jacket and riding an e-bike worth about a grand and he's moaning about there being nothing. County lines seems to be paying well for him though hey?
you're me neighbours and this makes me quite sad, didnt know it was this bad Wishing you well and better choises of gouvernment, here its also getting worse and money rules like never before love from Rotterdamn
So sad to see, I used to go there on holidays with my mum and dad in the 60's I now live in Australia, Blackpool was a magical place back then, Golden mile, Stanley Park and the Tower, donkey rides on the sands........punch and Judy....great memories.
A lot of people would if there was still places open. In some places there's barely anywhere left open because they've closed their doors and shut up shop completely.
@vanessahenderson1850 You reform patriot have always got a excuse, you make me bloody sick ! FFS places have closed down because reform patriots aren't using them the great British culture is eroding because chicken masala is the English favourite dish they've ditched fish and chips but blame the migrants..

The kid on the intro has a 2k bike mate. His clothes are fake af but that bike is either stolen or he's got a few quid.
Gotta survive on the streets 💪
WendallExplores@@WendallExploresI blame the parents. Problems.
Probably a local dealer
Not fake mate u can see
They not fake look at the quality of the coat
I got bikes when I was that age , I found them easy to buy for some reason I had a KDX an 4 Yamaha DT125R from about 16 to 20 , all of them had no frame number though, stolen an recovered, but I made one better than a YZ
It is fair to say then that Blackpool is a complete tip
Yeah, it's on par with where I currently live. It's a seaside Town and things are absolutely dire. The Town is a complete dump.
Wendelll, the best of the best. Keep going. Best wishes to you and your family
🙏
Stay true to yourself Wendall and film whatever you want, the UK is on a downward spiral and no amount of ignoring that is going to stop it.
Agree
Absolutely
I too have rose tinted glasses of Blackpool from my childhood but that era is gone. These towns are deserted sadly due to changing behaviours in this country - I live in Bournemouth and we're eyeing this up over the next 10 years to be honest. As soon as the hotel economy collapses then all the cottage around them folds.
Good on you buying that lad some voddy; no shade there. He's an addict and you helped him.
Very dark place just behind the lights well we acknowledge this
God bless you Wendell, for being so sweet with Joe ❤️
Wendell good on you “ make the right choices mate “ ❤
Look forward to your videos Wendall keep it up bro 👊🏼
Ya keep doing it the way you are mate it gets people to see whats going on ok
I've lived in Blackpool for a while just of Bond Street in fact....the council only cares about the tourists, hence the bright lights of the prom and it's attractions.... but once you get off the strip then it's decay....
Great content as always Wendall. Appreciate your content. Keep up the good work 🙏
Bless that little lad trying his hardest to be a road man 😂
Yes bruv.innit.
Good video Wendall so glad you tell it how it is and don't sugar coat things so sad to see the decline of the UK
Yer man, it is what it is...
Great stuff Wendall.
It is what it is

As with all our big seaside towns , when everyone went on holiday in UK, the towns boomed but now it's ridiculously expensive to stay in our country. Caravans, Airbnb, hotels all expensive and when you go out for a meal, we are not far off Scandinavian prices but on a lot less wages. Hence we go abroad.
Given, tourism was the main business on the seaside, when that goes ,nothing has replaced it and so we get these seaside ghettos
Fair play for treating Joe he sounded like a top lad in a bad place. Love if you kept in contact with these kinda people and give us some updates.
So what do u think should happen to change this decline? Is there an answer
Yes it breaks my heart to see what has happened to our country .
The story of the window cleaner is heartbreaking, but he needs to stop telling people he sleeps in public toilets they might get the wrong idea 💡
Government keep reducing the alcohol content in those tins. Tizer is stronger.
street drinkers should switch to water, since the alcohol will soon be at the same level anyway
"Woke'ism is eroding our British culture"?
WOW Wendall. This is a serious break from the Wendall we all knew.
Wendall. Your a genuine guy who never fails to show some humility. If only more people were like you.!
It’s got the best beach around….thats why it’s big…once the southern Landlords have bought up all the streets, the area will be known as little Mayfair..
Your a top man Wendall, thanks for the video, such a shame about Blackpool..
Thanks for watching 👊
Like you I have great memories of Blackpool. I still think it’s up there with the best seaside towns
That last street all boarded up with the Tower in the background! Crazy! How close it is to the main "heart" of Blackpool!
I have been going to Blackpool for 30 years nearly Must have been over 25 times and I have noticed the change massively. Late 90's it was buzzing.
That is due to be flattern for the multiversity... the sooner the better as well
I must say it has changed a lot since I went to Blackpool back in 1985! I wish it was for the better.
Good luck to Simon. Touched my heart.
What do they do in the Council meetings ? Bingo ?
Probably 🤣
It's Grim in Blackpool! I've just been staying there between there & Wirral 😭
Makes me feel so sad for so many of our seaside towns.
All my memories of Blackpool are glowing and positive (80s, 90s), this is just horrifying...
Nice to see you back up 🔝
Those sunglasses almost made me want to buy one of those bottles 😅
you're me neighbours and this makes me quite sad, didnt know it was this bad
Wishing you well and better choises of gouvernment,
here its also getting worse and money rules like never before
love from Rotterdamn
That Chippy you passed by in the very beginning with the pink/red signs; I believe Gordon Ramsay did a Kitchen Nightmares episode there.
So sad to see, I used to go there on holidays with my mum and dad in the 60's I now live in Australia, Blackpool was a magical place back then, Golden mile, Stanley Park and the Tower, donkey rides on the sands........punch and Judy....great memories.
It's still a great place, this video rightly highlights the lesser areas, but there's a lot of investment in other areas.
All seaside towns are on there ass now!
I would be interested to see you go to Clacton in a year and see if their saviour Farage has made any difference.
The pleasure beach seems to be suffering too...sad
Instead of Reform patriots going on cheap package holidays abroad maybe they should do more for their beloved country and holiday at home.
How do you know where reform voters are going on holiday?
A lot of people dont realise that if someone is dependent on alcohol, its dangerous to suddenly stop drinking. Lost a friend through that.
So well done wendall. :)
great content , love the channel, i was wondering what camera you use to film your content

Its not difficult to see England is in a state and bordering on the third world.
Just look at the state of the roads and nhs then prove to me it isnt.
Yeah, it's shocking. I never thought we'd be witnessing all that we are in our lifetime or any lifetime for that matter.
💓 People need too help, and not judge, love your content, and reality is, people trying, but have NO money 💝
Ime a follower of Stephen, walk on the wild side and I’ve said many times, Ime so sad to see the decline of the wonderful place I was born and raised in. My childhood, my youth, my teenage years in Blackpool were magnificent. Ime 56 now and live in Australia now, been here 18 yrs. Think I left at the right time🤦♂️…. So very sad. It was magnificent and could be again, if only the powers that be cared. Great , keep up the informative content👏👏👍
That hooded youth looks like he's heading straight to jail :0(
Wendall a wicked video once again, massive respect with what you did for Joe! 👊👏 ….Smithy
This video makes me feel depressed and also very lucky. I’ve been to Blackpool a few times and it has a lot going for it, but could and should have a lot more. Don’t really feel any desire to go back any time soon.
Good on ya fella...I'm the Danish shop...Bond Street...
I remember Blackpool as a kid. I'm 43. Was boss. Now it's a pig stye 😂😂😂
I have some fond memories of holidays in Blackpool in the late 80s as a child. It really is a shame to see this town in this state today.
