It's been one of the easiest philodendron I own it gives me a new leaf every month. I recently found a polypodioides cutting for sale and I'm waiting on it.
I have one of these plants but even smaller, and the new leaf sheath (I think thats what they are called) got brown and soft, I probably forgot to water it too long. Will it grow back or grow another stem? Hope I didn't prevent my plant from growing ever again...
I've noticed this plant can go some time before watering. If leaves are yellow, soft and brown that's being iver watered with not enough light. If the leaf is yellow or brown and crunchy tips means not watering enough. I also don't allow my plants to sit in water. I would say check the soil. You want to avoid it being too wet for too long. So perhaps let it dry out, water and pay close attention. Water again when it's completely dry. Hope that helps

What mix do you have your mother plant in?
A chunky mix. Coco chips and coir, soil, perlite, charcoal.
