Dave has changed for the better. I'm 60 and a big fan of Dave. In his younger days he was a mean drunk but in time he's changed for the better,I hope to see him play for many years to come. He is a true legend in metal.

Dave is the real deal. I was lucky enough to attend a meet and greet. We actually had a conversation: when I told him that I was finishing up student teaching, he lit up and thanked me for choosing my profession and said, "God bless you for choosing to be a teacher. We need more people like you!" 26 years later, I'm retired and think of what Dave said to me. Still a faithful Megadeth concert goer!! 🤘😎 P.S. - Marty Friedman let me touch his hair, lol. Swoon!!!

I met Dave in 98 at a small club before a tour, thanked him for the show, and he's like "oh thanks man lean over here" then signs my shirt and was just the nicest guy. also met Marty a few months earlier walking into a music store right behind him, but didn't listen to Megadeth at all so didn't know who he was until I walked upstairs like 'oh.'
I applaud Dave for taking his stand against bullying. It's one thing to be at a concert and choosing to take part in a "Mosh Pit" but its a whole different thing for someone to get attacked by multiple persons. I have renewed interest of Megadeth because of this.
That's not what happened. A guy tried to jump the stage, and security stopped him but the guy started punching security. A video called "Up close POV of Dave Mustaine kicking out security for being too rough with fan who jumped onstage!" shows what happens.

It's wild how on stage, the performers are watching us in the audience as much as we are watching them. At least in the smaller venues and up close. It's truly a personal experience.

I’ve worked security for Dave numerous times over 20• years & even personally guarded him & his dressing room for one of the Gigantour’s. I was nervous because I knew Dave won’t hesitate to chew me out if I fucked up but luckily the night went smooth & I had enough experience to do he job correctly & even got a compliment from Dave for a job well done. So, I know if he called them pit security out, they must’ve been assholes. I’ve worked with the types & they make a professional like me look bad. I’ve supervised pit crews & our two jobs were to catch the people coming over from body surfing & to keep em off the stage. Not to beat anyone up for making you earn your paycheck. Trust me! It’s a workout in a Slayer pit. Soon as you’re catching one, another’s coming with. I grew up playing in Thrash & Death bands so I was used to it. It was usually the meathead college football players that took things overboard. IDK? Good job Dave!
I love Megadeth. Always have. Haven't always loved Dave. But man this was awesome. What I liked best is this was not a musician grandstanding just to look like a hero. Dave did a lot of talking off mic and was clearly trying in good faith to fix the situation. I could tell he was genuinely pissed and did the right thing.

This what I love about Dave. I watched them 6 years ago I was so close in the front stage, he stops playing because someone is bullying other viewers and some are throwing bottled waters to randomn, he confronted the guy. Dave is a metal hero he doesn't want foolish thing around.
The more I see Dave , the more I love Megadeth. Full respect! And I love the more aggressive tone he is using in his voice. Megadeth has everything with this.
Is this the one where the guy rushed the stage? If so, he was swinging at the security guards. Yeah, they threw a couple of punches back and really shouldn't have, but this guy took it way too far by trying to rush the stage and then swinging on security. The security who hit him in the ribs only did it, in my opinion, because the guy had another security guy pinned against the railing. Anyone remember Dimebag? You can't take chances with someone trying to get on stage. I think it's cool Dave was looking out, but I don't think he even saw the whole thing. He didn't stop the song until after the guy was swinging at security. Those guys were looking out for him. Yeah, they got a little rough and probably shouldn't have, but this guy wasn't giving them cause to be gentle at all. Dave gets a lot of shit from people but this shows that he really is a good dude. Especially how he handled Kiko leaving to be with family and giving his blessing.

Agreed! Dave has changed for the better over the past 30 yrs. I have so much respect for him as a human.. Getting cleaned up off the drugs & booze was a huge part of that, & even Dave has said this. He used the drugs & booze to cover up the pain of his fucked up childhood, & was an angry guy at the world, & finally got clean & dealt w/all his demons, & came out the other side a better human. & having kids also helped him get his shit together as well, & having an awesome wife who was his rock through it all too.
Dave is the man! I recently went to a show where this kept happening, people getting thrown and assaulted by security, I've been to hundreds of show never seen something so egregious I was pissed the bands never acknowledge how fucked up it was, people just kept getting hurt. Dave did the right thing.
I really hope Kiko's gonna to get things with his family sorted out - For me he is in the Top 10 guitarists in the World! And definitely the best lead player Dave's ever had to compliment his own Excellent playing! 😊

I have a lot of respect for Dave Mustaine. I hate bullying just as much as he does. Ganging up on someone 4 to 1 is pathetically immature and it’s wimpy too because it’s by no means a fair fight. Dave was right about that. He’s absolutely right that those security guards were punks too. Normal security guards don’t tag team someone like that for no reason. Dave isn’t the kind of person who takes guff from anyone. He stood up for the guy who was being totally assaulted by the security guards and he’s also right that their moms would be totally embarrassed of them. That kind of behaviour, like Dave said, is unacceptable. Props to Dave for being the good person that he is and putting a stop to a bullying situation and having the perpetrators thrown out like they deserved to be. Rock on, Megadeth! 🤘🏻
Agreed! Dave has changed for the better over the past 30 yrs. I have so much respect for him as a human.. Getting cleaned up off the drugs & booze was a huge part of that, & even Dave has said this. He used the drugs & booze to cover up the pain of his fucked up childhood, & was an angry guy at the world, & finally got clean & dealt w/all his demons, & came out the other side a better human. & having kids also helped him get his shit together as well, & having an awesome wife who was his rock through it all too.

I recently went to a show where this kept happening, people getting thrown and assaulted by security, I've been to hundreds of show never seen something so egregious I was pissed the bands never acknowledge how fucked up it was, people just kept getting hurt. Dave did the right thing.
