I just asked one of the top body shops in Toronto and they said a Random Orbit/Dual Action polisher is fine. So I guess you were wrong and now you learned something today. I'm glad you had me ask, otherwise I would have believed what you said and I would be wrong like you.
I absolutely disagree, it comes down to personal preference. 90% of jobs can be done with D/A polishers but for the other 10% you might need a rotary to get a nice result

$1300 for good a good paint protection for a nice Porsche that easily costs at least $50k
it seen you got not idea what paint correction means. speacially high end. this is just a regular job
question: instead of coming in routinely to remove swirls and potentially wearing down the clear coat, wouldn't ppf be a permanent solution as long as it's maintained?
PPF costs just as much to remove as it does to install. And eventually it always needs replaced. It hides the gloss of the paint as well.
This is why people get their entire vehicle wrapped in PeePeeF…

thats cheap. lot of places are 2-2500 for a reputable shop. i just paid 2600 but i also get an annual free maintenance and upkeep appointment.

Ppf is overpriced and literally only works in select California counties that can afford and also have the conditions for ppf to be successfull truth is it dont work anywhere else and will grow mold, mildew, and beyond very minor rock chips, doesnt actually protect your paint from deep scratches or swirls that can be corrected.
