The skillcap for the CB is absolutely insane. This is why I love watching streamers who use a CB as a primary, especially if they have fast reflexes. I feel like I'll never go this far, well, as far as guard points go.
Dude, you forgot to mention about Charged Shield Guard Points! if you have the red buff on, your shield is stronger, and you get free phial explosions when an enemy hits it during guard points- oh, and you can charge your phials from it too. Also, from the block animation(after getting a guard point, during your blockstun), you can press X and A together to respond with a counter-super/ultra!
Hope Siders yeah, i just had to let it be known there were a few more hidden mechanics- the parry/counter discharge burst lets you stay up in the face of a foe, block a strong attack from them, and you're left in the perfect position for your strongest attack, which comes out quickest from this method.
You missed some very important parts about the charge blade guard points. First, you get a guard point after EVERY roundslash. You explained the one in your axe -> sword switch, but you can also get it at the end of your sword mode X X X combo, your dodge roll X X combo, vial charge X X combo, your A X combo (charged or uncharged,) or even your sidestep X attack, which you can use from any of your other sword attacks, even the vial charge, guard (including guard points, or just holding R guard without blocking an attack), or the sidestep X itself. Though I don't use it too often myself, you can even get the guard point from your shield charge cancel. It's a bit touchy to time, but if you go for a super and you see the monster isn't going to have it, you can shield cancel out of a super/ultra to guard point its attack. Besides that, you can use the R+X switch after ANY of your sword attacks, not just your first X swing. Like you said, the timing is more forgiving than a lot of the others, but I tend not to use it as much because if the monster backs off for a moment before it attacks, (common on a tigrex, zinogre, or even legombi) you'll either get stuck in axe mode and need to dodge roll attacks until you have a chance to switch back, or you eat its attack after the guard point misses the mark, and still be stuck in axe mode. The only other option besides rolling around is to use the switch and eat another attack if you don't have enough time to reach the guard point at the end of the axe -> sword roundslash. Also, I can't say totally for sure, but I think the regular R+X guard point comes out faster than if you just pressed R to guard. The difference is so minute that I'm not even sure if it's true, but there have been a few times I've hit it when a monster has been dead on top of me and I didn't think I had enough time to actually raise my shield for normal guard, but the guard point somehow made it in time. Oh, and you missed one of the ways to reach your super/ultra charge. It's really situational because it doesn't let you aim it, but if you guard an attack, you can X+A to go straight into your super/ultra. Only really useful when it hits you head on and doesn't run past or something, but I've made use of it a few times. I'd recommend it for something like the kezu that you can stand and block its lightning discharge attack, and it stays planted in that position for a while, giving your time for an easy super. (Note, after you block the attack when it first starts, it can't hit you for the rest of the duration.) Well, that's all my input, hope it helps at least one person out there.
Helped me because I've seen plenty of the things you talked about in the second half of your text in videos and was curious about more of the guard points available to us. Appreciate the comment
SO very thankful for these weapon tutorials, Erik! Thank you haha! Especially for providing a second video for the adanced tutorials. I hope to see more MH4U tips and advanced tutorials and so on from you. :3
Great videos. Takes all of the information that's out there and breaks it down into two separate and very easy-to-understand videos. The only thing I would add for this video is that you can after a guard point OR normal block, while in the recovery animation (the small step-back) you can input X+A and go straight into a Super/Ultra discharge. Other than that, doing a guard point with a boosted shield causes a phial explosion (like the shield thrust does) and actually does damage. Also note that a guard point has less knock-back and higher block value than a regular block does. Paired with Guard+1 or Guard+2 you can literally guard against all types of attacks with little to no knock-back.
Another well made video! This is the first time I heard of ultra cancel, and it might help ease me back into CB after all the frustration of missing with the ultra's, I appreciate it.
I just want to thank you your charge blade tutorials allowed me to fully utilize this new weapon as one of my mains though i really only use greatswords, hammers, longswords, insect glaives, and bow, I don't really use anything else.
Abraham Kresnik same here. can't believe this game went under my radar while I had a barely used 3ds. picked it up now to start practicing on it early. charge blade is stupid fun.
Hey Arekkz just a tip from a fellow Charge Blader. If you tinker with your touch screen buttons you can choose the kick or special button and that, my friend, is a guard point even if you are moving. I use the last method you demonstrated. You must have had you thumb on the c-pad, if its not neutral the guard point won't activate.
He forgot to mention that at the end of the triple x combo,(the one wich ends with à roundhouse slash in sns mode) you are actually doing a gard point.
THIS CANCELING IS SOOOOOO USEFUL OMG, I DIDN'T EVEN THINK THAT THIS EXIST, you made it again, after watching all you videos I stayed between charge blade and switch axe ( is that the name? ), but I decided to stay with charge blade and with this video I will continue, because this was the only flaw on the weapon for me
I didnt notice it mentioned, but if your shield is charged when you guard-point, the resulting guard will unleash a phial-effect, without consuming a phial. You do not even need any phials, just need to have the shield charged. IE Impact will release an Impact-blast in front of you, Elemental will release and elemental blast in from of you.
I think I remember there being another guard point at the end of the x attack combo. Good work all around though, you're one of two people that I watch tutorials from so keep up the good work :)
one of my favorite setups is the nerscylla X armor set with an attack honed belobog's scythe, with critical eye +3 and the CB has an effective affinity of 55%, mix in statuscrit and it's passable poison damage (230) and you get a potently poisonous weapon, not to mention the purple sharpness, and if you eat for feylyne specialist you can, no joke, reliably poison a chameleos.
You can draw straight to the Axe mode in the air or on he ground by pressing R+X+A, this is great when monster are knocked down, press R+X+A, then X+A to do super or ultra.
_ MyM4 _ Also, you can press X+A after loading your phials, and do a shield thrust. This makes it to where you can go "X(Unsheathe) charge A, X+A, Charge A,(you will have Red Phials assuming you landed the hits) X+A for shield thrust, then X+A to do super, mash R to charge your shield, charge A, X+A, charge A, X+A, X+A to ultra." It's Much easier than it sounds.
I'm pretty sure you're doing the idle guard point wrong. You were guarding before pressing x. If you press them at exactly the same time, or press x a little bit before, you will get the actual guard point. You'll notice that the shield appears in front for much longer.
Hey not sure if you knew at the time of this vid but if you change your start button to kick then while in sword mode you can use start ANY time you expect an attack that you want to guard point, as it will have the animation of the first and easiest guard point you mentioned. I found it pretty hard to anticipate an attack so far ahead of time that I HAD time to throw out an attack first then transform, and also more often than not I'd fail the R+X input in the heat of battle and just end up taking damage, so This alternative method makes it so guard pointing feels just like perfect guarding, which I've had experience in with SnS and GS.
I feel like you forgot to mention another guard point, in sword mode, if you tap X first then R you'll do a guard point albeit smaller than if you do it after a full swing. Many people get this wrong because they try to press X and R together and end up with the no guardpoint transformation instead. Thus there are two ways to transform, one with and one without guardpoint depending if you press X first or not.
you did the 'from idle' guard point wrong. if you press R+X simultaniously, (at the exact same time) you will do the same animation where you hold the shield out in front of you for a bit. You were doing what is called a 'from blocking' transform, which is slightly faster, but has no guard point.
yeah, my normal go-to guardpoint is the R+X simultaneous. Also, he missed two other guard points. One after the second X attack in sword mode(also the first X attack after a dodge roll) and one after the third x-attack, the big spin(though i guess it's nearly the same as the axe-to-sword one, but it can be done without morphing.)
I should definitely try this out! I am used to the gunlance so maybe with this weapon I can actually find a way to get used to different playstyles as well, since the charged shield blocks as much as the gunlance's does. Thanks for the video!
Not sure if someone mention this to you but you missed one Guard Point. Not much, but its at the end of the X round-slash. Just saying. Still, super helpful video!
This whole time I was playing with the Charge blade, I didn't know that r+x can to a guard point with out doing an attack. I played this for 2 years, beat it 3 times and just found out that the r+x is the same as just pressing select or special button. This could have saved me so many times.
you didnt mention the other guard point done from idle sword and shield. the x+r one, no not the one you showed in the video, the OTHER one. if you time your x button press before your r button then the guard point is extended a longer time, kinda the same amount as a x -> x+r combo.
nice tutorial..i think you still forgot that after reloading you can press a as a shortcut from SS to axe...after reloading you can go to the burst combo of the axe
Could you do a video for the gunlance, although it's quite an underused weapon I think it's make an interesting video. I use gunlance all the time and it's a great weapon.
I've just made my first charge blade, but I'm not 100% sure how to use it, so please correct me if I'm wrong: to charge the shield, I perform a super burst, but press R before it lands to store charge?
Ceaudeus regalia, Demonlord supersurge , Daora, le salut, also if ur lucky enough to get a good relic charge blade at 1224 attack use it cuz thts max raw damage 4 a cb. I was lucky enough to find a few max atk cbs
Do you have any videos you'd recommend where you showcase more charge blade strategies? I recently got the Seregios charge blade, and have been having trouble adapting to the playstyle (too used to hit and running with the ls, db, and ig).
The idle (R+X) switch if done right the shield would display longer at the front, tried it not sure if it's me though but if R is press even alittle before X, it would be counted as a block + X
Thank you good sir. I asked a question and the next day you come out with an epic video, now that's dedication. Sadly tho because I was so determined I did quite a bit of research to find out the answer for myself. None the less, I'm still greatly appreciative. I do have a question tho, do guard points do anything besides helping you block attacks from a transformation? The naming and way you talk about it seems to suggest it gives you a boost in something but I'm not sure. Anywho, thanks again for the video. If you can make this a series then awesome. And if you know any good advance gunning videos (if you don't come out with one yourself), direct me to them.
Hey , I like your content and have a sugestion for future videos. Maybe you could make videos on how to use the diferent bombs and why they are important during some fights and what to do to counter certain monster behaviour e.g. roaring or making wind. Handy Items explained would be cool too! Keep up the good work!
i'll need to engrave the ultra cancel in my mind, because i've too often wasted time, effort and charges lining up a shot only to miss at the last second. can guarding protect against projectiles/breath attacks? not that i really have the timing to actively use guard points right now, but it may be helpful to differentiate what can and can't be blocked. i know dodging blows is always preferable, but sometimes its not possible.
When the blade is charge while the shield is boosted I noticed an elemental attack if x is pressed in an upward slash does that do elemental and knockout damage?
so i understand the first method of GP but for axe - sword am i still inputting r+x after pressing r? and the same goes for the last one, after pressing r am i still inputting r+x?
One thing I personally do when Ultra canceling us resetting the camera behind my character with L and then holding back. It's one more button press but it's a bit easier on people new to the weapon. And also, iirc doesn't the Shield hit have guard point as well?
Hello I have a question I consider myself a great C.B. User and I'm working on my guard points. While guard pointing a Rathalos I pressed some button combo and from a Guard point I switched to an ultra right off the bat. Does that work or were my eyes playing tricks?
I've really enjoyed this video. A lot of the ones I see were just basic tutorials. My question is, how fast can this weapon kill a monster? I've used the GS since the first MH hit PlayStation and know how quickly that can doom a monster. But there's times I use the charge blade and since its such a different weapon then the GS it makes me wonder exactly how efficient I am with it.
So hang on... is it not recommended to use the ultra or is it just personal preference? I've clocked 400 hours on charge blade alone and i've always gone straight for ultra spamming, almost never even doing anything but A or shield thrust in sword mode. And I can solo most elder hall missions with CB by spamming ultras. Would I be even more effective bu using supers instead?
+80WooR Well ultra is a lot harder to land if you don't know exact timing for monsters moves, super is quite faster and you don't lose as much if you miss. but if you want to take risks(or your skilled) then use ultra it obviously does more dmg. It's more of a personal preference.
+80WooR Most people do the ultra cancel to do damage and at the same time keep phials and boost mode intact which means , you can chain supers. However, to me it seems a bit weird, like it feels that it does not fit that you are able to cancel it. So I only use ultra's instead. I am used to knowing monsters their movements anyways as I use the greatsword a lot as well. And the timing is about the same as a level three charge.
***** If you're doing an Advanced Kinsect Guide then you should think about including some of the upgrade information about it or even just linking some good guides on kinsect upgrading because I think it's something that puts a lot of people off using it Loving your MH4 videos, keep up the good work!
What you say is true, the last guard point just sort of happens from time to time. I tried to do it on my own accord but it almost never worked for me. I do use the shield thrust into Super/Ultra, but I did not know how to do the cancel so thank you for that. Question, where's the best point to use the Super/Ultra against a monster? I see the yellow KO waves going out and I hit the monster on the head directly but it rarely KO's. Should I step back a bit so the waves hit it?
You're welcome, glad you learned something new! :D And personally, unless the monster is sleeping, or trapped and I need to break something, I tend to use the Super. And as for KO, if you have 5 phials and you land an ultra on a monsters head with an impact CB, it should KO.
***** I think my problem my problem may be that I don't hit them directly on the head a lot of the time. I should work on aiming it and getting a clean hit. I use the ultra when it trips most of the time or when they're not moving, like Rathians fireballs. Just hit G-Rank yesterday with some friends. I have Aracchnoscale+, could go into either Shrouded's path or stick with normal. Might just make both. Well thank you for the help, I found your tutorials quite helpful when the special demos were sent out. Actually can use a Great Sword now.
jeffrey floyd You said that the "last guard point just sort of happens from time to time" but are you pressing R and X at the same time for that? It wasn't mentioned in this video, unless I missed it, but I'm pretty sure that the frames where your shield is in front of you are actually significantly longer if you press X just slightly before R. It gets pretty easy and really useful after practicing. Hope that helped anyone having problems with that method of guard pointing.
there is not a single "bad" weapon type in monster hunter. all of them are awesome, but some can take more time to get used to than others. for example, a sword and shield is a lot less complex than an insect glaive. that's not to say that it is bad, it just is easier to use.
Ary Kumar yes of course, switchaxe is much easier to use, but if you can choose 1 of these 2 weapons you are a absolute pro with, energy blade is more usefull from my experience
chaomaster2100 It's the Nercylla CB (not sure if I spelled it correctly). It starts off with the poison element but eventually you can decide if you want a badass white poison blade or the smooth black sleep blade.
wow this weapon looks SOO cool. but i am trying out MH for the first time so i may need a good 100+ hours before i am ready for it lol. i will stick to Lance, Switch Axe, or H. Horn till i am not a noob D:
hm... only di not find the 'superchancel' on my own . . . and the gard points, but that's more cause I'm most of the time don't even remember about being able to block with the CB XO
I'm around 20 hours into the game and can only make 3 different charge blades. Does the variety only begin to go as you reach the higher difficulty missions? (I'm on 4 star missions btw)
+Electric Squirrel you really don't need a lot of weapons early game tbh. anyway you can actually upgrade your weapons I'm an IG user and i only have access to 2 weapons and can't upgrade them any more due to them needing HR parts now. sigh...
+jedikid singed top is da bomb Red will give you 5 phials. Overcharged will give you 5 phials. Overcharged is actually a penalty state for not storing your charge, as it will cause all your sword attacks to bounce off until you charge your phials.
Get the shield charge first, generally at the start of a fight the monster will still be relatively fast, so having the damage boost of the charged shield will be more useful, and you can save up your ultra burst until the monster sleeps / falls / staggers
SylemGistoe He said that in the basic tutorial

I dodn´t know about the counter combo but that sounds awsome!!!
Hope Siders yeah, i just had to let it be known there were a few more hidden mechanics- the parry/counter discharge burst lets you stay up in the face of a foe, block a strong attack from them, and you're left in the perfect position for your strongest attack, which comes out quickest from this method.
+SylemGistoe found this out by accident but later found out to be the best way of countering for CB

Helped me because I've seen plenty of the things you talked about in the second half of your text in videos and was curious about more of the guard points available to us. Appreciate the comment
Such a cool weapon, I really need to learn how to use it properly.
JLConawayII when used properly it looks so sexy!
You can guard point at the end of the x x x combo by the way.
guess he left that out because its the exact same animation as axe to sns
SO very thankful for these weapon tutorials, Erik! Thank you haha! Especially for providing a second video for the adanced tutorials. I hope to see more MH4U tips and advanced tutorials and so on from you. :3
Great videos. Takes all of the information that's out there and breaks it down into two separate and very easy-to-understand videos.
Perfect tutorial. Compact and to the point with great examples. If only you also displayed the input. Thank you for the guide!
I feel like I'm so far behind in MH4U compared to you. Damn real life getting in the way of my game progress.
Same. I feel you, bro. After about 6 months I finished high rank but didn't have time for G-rank
6 years later any1 still playing mh4u?
I am after 8 lol,
Another well made video!

Came in here to learn more about Charge Blade after MHW
Abraham Kresnik same here. can't believe this game went under my radar while I had a barely used 3ds. picked it up now to start practicing on it early. charge blade is stupid fun.
Yea, it is and its a lot to work on. Have to remember several combo and be aware of the coating and etc.

RotatoHead ^ what this guy said.
Thanks for the info this helps a lot, actually a lot of you're videos helps I hope you keep them coming:)
Thank you for the totourials for the weapons!
I was waiting for this video thx
You're welcome! Sorry it took so long D:
Thanks for the Mh4u tutorials👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😃😃😃😃😄😄😄😄🙂🙂🙂🙂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

My brain has been hurting trying to master the charge blade but these videos have helped. I usually use a hunting horn so.. bit different XD
Not sure if someone mention this to you but you missed one Guard Point. Not much, but its at the end of the X round-slash. Just saying. Still, super helpful video!

that's ripper mate. thanks to you and gaijinhunter, i improved heaps and the game is less frustrating.
cheers man
same
Arekkz, you missed 1 shortcut. If you press the A button after charging your blade, you unleash an elemental discharge.
very good guide you made here my friend
Thanks Arekkz

nice tutorial..i think you still forgot that after reloading you can press a as a shortcut from SS to axe...after reloading you can go to the burst combo of the axe
Charge blade is a good weapon even better if you know how to use it so thanks for the tutorial
man i thought the charge blade was cool... then i saw this video and realize why you use one in almost every video haha! THIS SHIT IS AMAZING RAD!
now I finnaly mastered the charge blade
great tutorials, they have helped me a lot.
you forgot that if in the shield trust animation, press r to do a easy and fast shield charge
Could you do a video for the gunlance, although it's quite an underused weapon I think it's make an interesting video. I use gunlance all the time and it's a great weapon.
Thank you for uploading this one :)
most helpful video ever
Thanks for the help! I thought the red sheild just happened every once and a while, but i was just pressing R lol :)
There's another guard point at the end of your standard third hit, but it's just like the third one you describe. Hard to land on purpose.
You missed the guard points that happen after certain standard attacks. Like the 2nd and 3rd attacks in the X,X, X combo
Excelent video, man!
What is this set you're using?
I've just made my first charge blade, but I'm not 100% sure how to use it, so please correct me if I'm wrong:
to charge the shield, I perform a super burst, but press R before it lands to store charge?
+Colonel Crow Yes, exactly.
MetalisforalexD Thanks, I find it surprising the games doesn't teach you this.
:D
+Colonel Crow lots of hidden techniques. the game honestly doesn't teach you much haha. Np.
MetalisforalexD hehe, thanks again!
+Colonel Crow It is in the Hunter Notes about weapons controls
Ceaudeus regalia, Demonlord supersurge , Daora, le salut, also if ur lucky enough to get a good relic charge blade at 1224 attack use it cuz thts max raw damage 4 a cb. I was lucky enough to find a few max atk cbs
My Lightbreak is not pleased
Do you have any videos you'd recommend where you showcase more charge blade strategies? I recently got the Seregios charge blade, and have been having trouble adapting to the playstyle (too used to hit and running with the ls, db, and ig).
what is the charge blade in the thunbmail picture
Great video as always :)
Also if u keep attacking until u do the roundhouse slash u will also have a guard point at the end of the roundhouse slash but I almost never use it
i'll need to engrave the ultra cancel in my mind, because i've too often wasted time, effort and charges lining up a shot only to miss at the last second.
can guarding protect against projectiles/breath attacks? not that i really have the timing to actively use guard points right now, but it may be helpful to differentiate what can and can't be blocked. i know dodging blows is always preferable, but sometimes its not possible.
When the blade is charge while the shield is boosted I noticed an elemental attack if x is pressed in an upward slash does that do elemental and knockout damage?
Hey man ive already reached level 10 quest rank and half the quests I've seen on your channel i haven't been able to get
What kind of charge blade is that I. Your thumbnail
so i understand the first method of GP but for axe - sword am i still inputting r+x after pressing r? and the same goes for the last one, after pressing r am i still inputting r+x?
What do you press to go straight into the ultra? The move that you do sleeping enemies?
One thing I personally do when Ultra canceling us resetting the camera behind my character with L and then holding back. It's one more button press but it's a bit easier on people new to the weapon.
And also, iirc doesn't the Shield hit have guard point as well?
What's the weapon in the thumbnail?
Nice video. Could you possibly do one on the VE tickets please? It would be much appreciated.
Hello I have a question I consider myself a great C.B. User and I'm working on my guard points. While guard pointing a Rathalos I pressed some button combo and from a Guard point I switched to an ultra right off the bat. Does that work or were my eyes playing tricks?
+Marcos Torres X+A after a GP/guard will do that.
does having the charged shield make the super stronger?
I've really enjoyed this video. A lot of the ones I see were just basic tutorials. My question is, how fast can this weapon kill a monster? I've used the GS since the first MH hit PlayStation and know how quickly that can doom a monster. But there's times I use the charge blade and since its such a different weapon then the GS it makes me wonder exactly how efficient I am with it.
When used right, the CB can pump out damage between LS and GS level. When used wrong, it's like an extremely slow SA
Am I guessing a Kinsect Guide will be in the near future as well?
Yeah I will be revisiting that at some point as well :)
Its one of the main reasons I haven't really experimented with the Insect Glaive...
***** If you're doing an Advanced Kinsect Guide then you should think about including some of the upgrade information about it or even just linking some good guides on kinsect upgrading because I think it's something that puts a lot of people off using it
Loving your MH4 videos, keep up the good work!
@@ArekkzGaming thanks bro
+Arekkz Gaming what's a good high rank free element set
Was that a g-rank Damyio or how did you got the chargeblade?
+Arekkz Gaming Alex, your tutorials about the CB were better than Gaijin Hunter's single one because more accesible. :)
How does your version look so vibrant? I have a standard 3ds and my copy doesn't look that good, is it from an update or am l missing something?
The version of the game running on the new 3ds has better textures.
when you store your files you can push x and you will attack right out of it he never mentioned it
Please do an Advanced Insect glaive Tutorial
How to counter , when guard point achieve, what to press variaties, ty
hey everyone, I've been using switchaxe till hr4 and I've not seen ANYONE else use it so far, is it bad?
imo its easier, but weaker than charge blade
there is not a single "bad" weapon type in monster hunter. all of them are awesome, but some can take more time to get used to than others. for example, a sword and shield is a lot less complex than an insect glaive. that's not to say that it is bad, it just is easier to use.
Ary Kumar yes of course, switchaxe is much easier to use, but if you can choose 1 of these 2 weapons you are a absolute pro with, energy blade is more usefull from my experience
What charge blade is that? I'd like to use it or its upgraded version. The sleep would be very usefull.
chaomaster2100 It's the Nercylla CB (not sure if I spelled it correctly).
Horn till i am not a noob D:
what are some recommended armor set skills for charge blade?
Nice!
hm... only di not find the 'superchancel' on my own . . . and the gard points, but that's more cause I'm most of the time don't even remember about being able to block with the CB XO
what charge blade is on thumbnail?
I'm around 20 hours into the game and can only make 3 different charge blades. Does the variety only begin to go as you reach the higher difficulty missions? (I'm on 4 star missions btw)
Yeah, the further you go, the more open up :) Unfortunately, early on, the new weapons don't seem to have as many options.
You will get more options on high rank, also in kiranico for each waepon they show the material you need to unlock certain weapon
Yeah by the time you beat the gore there r only three insect gloves u can forge
+Electric Squirrel you really don't need a lot of weapons early game tbh. anyway you can actually upgrade your weapons I'm an IG user and i only have access to 2 weapons and can't upgrade them any more due to them needing HR parts now. sigh...
ArekkzG what is charge blade in thumbnail
Can i just equip my auto-guard +10 talisman? Would it work the same way?
no guard points do knock out/elemental damage when your shield is charged. auto guard just performs a regular block, so no extra dmg
So i do the ultra while idle with X+A?
so that is why cb guard point feels off in mh4u
Ok.... so should I wait til my charge blade is red or over charged to fill up the vials?
+jedikid singed top is da bomb Red will give you 5 phials. Overcharged will give you 5 phials. Overcharged is actually a penalty state for not storing your charge, as it will cause all your sword attacks to bounce off until you charge your phials.
+SpecopclericGaming ok i didnt know whether or not to over charge the blade and which should i do, charge shield or get the super off first?
Get the shield charge first, generally at the start of a fight the monster will still be relatively fast, so having the damage boost of the charged shield will be more useful, and you can save up your ultra burst until the monster sleeps / falls / staggers
can someone tell me how to stop ultra charge while using those combos?
Is the ultra more powerful than a greatswords triple charge?
They are about the same, I'd prefer ultra for the extra status and KO power
