hollywood is in its death throes. we're going to look back and marvel that anything decent ever came out of a system that required hundreds of millions of dollars invested for profit, thousands of people involved, shooting for years on location, etc. compared to the vision that one person or a small team will be able to accomplish on their own with relative pennies in compute.
If AI keeps getting better, I can see maybe in a few more years, people will utilize it more.

Your wish is currently in production/the process of being granted. Guy who directed the first SH movie is working on an adaptation of SH 2 as we speak. It was announced in one of Konami's "Transmissions" and there is a behind the scenes featurette you can watch here on TH-cam.

I feel like i was back in 2000's watching FX later at night,in Brazil they used to transmit horror movies and i watch silent hill in one broadcast. More and more AI transmit emotions.

The dog at the end broke my serious thoughts about SH2.
Now I want this to be real. It was really good.
If they were to make a live action of SH2, THIS is how it needs to feel. This was spot on.
I'm really impressed by Angela, she looks just like I always imagined she's supposed to look like - a traumatized woman in her early 20s with anxious eyes and paranoid expression. And with complexion of a Tim Burton character, which adds some eeriness.
In original game she appears somewhat older than intended, but it serves the whole uncanny thing they were going for the animation (also don't forget about technological confines of the time, the game is more than 20 years old lol).
And in remake it's the opposite - realistic, but eeriness lost.
Same about voice acting, but that's another conversation😅

I don't think the old Angela have the same anxious facial expression you are referring considering her scenes were mostly in-game (not cinematic & mo-capped). Mostly, her facial expression borders between indifference & anger. What made her character evoke those vibe & feelings of anxiousness & paranoia were the voice acting, dialogue & the mood settings. (Leaving enough room/blank for players to interpret those unexpressed emotions).

I have the strangest, yet, maybe, the most prophetic of feelings - they ran this horse not just into the ground, but throught the depth of Earth's hell at this point (albeit, SH 2 Remake was like a resuccetation breath). So, maybe, just maybe, swinging it a bit more down into the late 80's would have done the trick.
The video is all over the place, lacking in every needed aspect, BUT... it felt right. What's weird IS THAT IT FELT RIGHT. Swung back into the end of the 80's.
