The devastation is severe no doubt, but the devastation caused to Darwin by cyclone Tracy back in 1974 seemed to be so much more extreme - especially since Darwin was a modern western city with building codes. Unyet Tracy was only a Category 3 apparently. I think they need to go back and re-assess Tracy.
