Very down to earth gentlemen in John Strand and Gerald Auger. Thanks for the session and challenging the community to break into Cyber as well as have self belief.
**edit** - I should have watched more of the video prior to commenting. The on-demand version always had a mandatory fee - As of October 2023, $225/year acces. _The only option I see is $225 for a year of access. Was the PWYC option a limited time thing? Or did it not apply to on-demand courses?_
Idk. John’s pretty firm about that. The calendar on site only goes through November 2023z subscriber to upcoming events here: www.google.com/calendar/render?cid=webcal%3A%2F%2Fwww.antisyphontraining.com%2F%3Fpost_type%3Dtribe_events%26ical%3D1%26eventDisplay%3Dlist. John runs the company but does that course quarterly as part of his desire to give back so don’t get disheartened
@@SimplyCyber Ohhh I see. I didn’t know he does the free version of the course quarterly, but the on-demand access ones are paid. Thanks for clearing that up!
@cacogenicist It's $25.00 if you want the recording...the next one with pay what you can is this upcoming week. Registration ends tonight if you want the pay what you can option...FYI Check out thier website
@@cacogenicist I'm not sure if you found an answer to your question, but yes. Starts off if you want a certificate $25 minimum. There's also an option to take training for free. You have to sign up and I think you click something like financial aid. I think it's at least worth $25 to invest in yourself though
I have said for years that it is useless to teach a tool. Focus on the process, what question you are trying to answer or what problem you are trying to solve. I have not taken any of John's courses but my coworkers have said that he is a fun and dynamic instructor. Anyone who nods along to the ham recipe has obviously eaten the "food" outside of a SANS class. Classic rookie mistake. :)
How?! It's pay what you can and free for those who can't afford. How the hell is that a sales pitch if a person wants to learn how to get in this field and wants training?
Everyone should take his pay what you can classes, no reason not to. Great info
Haha Candace is my coworker. PHENOMENAL analyst
This is exactly what I've been looking for, thanks gents!
It's an amazing class. BHIS is the best!

John's so cool.
Checked link, nothing. Searched specifically thru the site, no longer free! $300-600 for access:/

Is this course still running?
Check their site. He runs it typically once a quarter
Thanks, Gerald. Does this course now have self-paced training?
I find it hard to attend the live training from Australia due to the time difference.
They are recorded and you can watch on replay
Is there a way to go through the course if i cant make it on 28. March ?
Yes. Details on the site.

Yeah they’ll share links to the recordings
Is this for beginners
Yes. And it’s pay what you can. I know ppl that have taken it multiple times.
So would I have to take the decoding a packet class first ??
