Today's wider tires effectively make our bikes 21". This affects the bottom bracket height. And most people are not aware. The tiniest BB change drastically affects handling. BB are measured wrong in bmx. It should be + or - the axel level. If you run 2.4's you literally get a half inch higher BB, which is DRASTIC. I wish this would be addressed.
Everything matters, what about a steeper head tube or steeper fork, a shorter rear end. I believe most brands stand measurement is with a 20x1.75” tire. At least that’s what most of the brand owners have told me while discussing these type of things
