When it comes to great works of anything, games, movies or music, it’s always a lighting in a bottle situation. The kf2 dev diaries spoke about the development of kf1, and basically said it was a hectic process. They took risks, experimented, all in a short time frame. I believe that now that everything is comfy and routine, we can’t get the same magic we had in kf1.
At least cod has good animations and overall immaculate gunplay... Kf3 from what has been showing... Stiffness and nuzzle flash on and off on a png 4k ahhh gun.
I think KF3 is going to fall the same route as Payday 3, where a beloved indie title gets a fresh sequel after years of waiting, only for it to be a buggy mismanaged mess on launch before shorty afterwards taking a skydive in popularity and then leaving nothing left but an empty game that is technically fixed now but totally dead in relevancy.
On a weird note the M4 in this game only holds 6 shelss when the real thing which is also the one in Killing Floor 2 holds 8 and more depending on which perks you pick
KF3 strays further away from horror even more so than KF2. In KF1 horror came from slow movement controls, mysterious music, eerie atmosphere, simple yet impactful enemy designs, lore/backstory, and realistic weapons, not counting dlc. In KF2, with the addition of more dynamic movement, scifi/gimmick enemy and map designs, lazy hrg weapons in the base game, and a ton of action metal music, it's already very tame and not scary at all. Now KF3 removes everything that makes a KF game scary, and instead keep and amplify other elements that don't to make the game even more sci-fi, and more action forward.
KF3 is looking like a worse version of DOOM , the animations are not there yet , feels very generic and i dont feel fear/afraid from the atmosphere at all :/
One of my concerns with KF3 is gonna be mtx and potential seasonpasses if they gonna think about that. Those two are a way to keep players playing and also push them away. I hope that they kinda go with the KF2 route in that regard, besides maybe the armory passes, that are overpriced
I'm pretty sure these zeds are committing Sui because they are in a dark, depressing manor. It gives off the asylum vibes from killing floor 2 minus the ghosts. They are doing you a favor. I'm holding on hope for killing floor 3 but who knows to say the least.
The major glaring issue with KF3 for me personally apart from the futuristic design choice is that stupid specialist system, because I know where they are going with this. Having perk-locked characters is one thing, but my main concern is that I KNOW nearly for CERTAIN that they are going to milk the hell out of us as a player base by using that system under the guise of "gameplay innovation". Mr. Foster is not locked to Commando to fit his aesthetic, Mr. Foster is locked to Commando so that they can later charge you for West London Mr. Foster (KF1) who is a Firebug with a new ultimate and weapon choices for $10-$20, rinse and repeat. You want to play as DJ Scully? You can buy the DJ Scully specialist pack that features all variations of Scully using different perks for only $40! Big fan of Masterson? Just complete your 100 tiers of your Horzine Pass or alternatively purchase all 100 tiers for only $100! The characters showcased in the Pre-Alpha footage are unfamiliar and relatively unappealing looking on purpose so they can charge us for fan-favorites that will more than likely have better weapons and ultimate abilities all while having cosmetics locked to specialists to ensure that you have the purchase cosmetics multiple times. The game is going to be a cash grab and I honestly would not even be shocked if they ended up making the game Free-2-Play at some point during its life cycle...
I wish they made Fleshpounds as menacing as KF1, just the fact that they are "walking" towards you and knowing that if they reach ur pretty much dead feels idk how to call it, authentic? Not to mention the good old gritty sounds, not only for the FP but in general.

Literal objective list on the top left with 3 separate objectives and checkmarks. It literally looks like a parody of a game over spoon feeding you info on the UI. The game is a wash. They didn't even realise all the zeds and we said it's dead game is not even out when kf3 will be out we will see how the game will be I think there will be objective mission mode, zeds vs humans, perk heroes, classic perks to play with any characters. It looks like kf1 dark, gore, horror, twisted and brutal atmosphere. I hope they add kf1 kf2 metal songs also and the tracks are brutal. I will play all of them one, two and three when it comes out.

I'm still holding out with hope that the KF3 team will address the issues we brought up. I'll wait for goods until then.
Love Killing Floor 1 so much its oozing with atmosphere and passion, you can see the blood, sweat, and rust that the developers put into this game.

would be nice if a team of modders took over KF1 and kept it alive with updates while staying true to the fans
modded kf1 and kf2 is still amazing, can spend hours and hours sat in a 2k wave server with 20 people holding the lines as someone micspams gummybear.
While I'm okay with KF3 looking a bit more sci-fi, nothing beats the grindhouse horror vibe that KF1 has going for. It's just * MUAH *
