My wife and I as well were in the right front of stage area... Your vid captures the light show great... my vids were a bit shaky as I was too busy dancing and loosing my mind! But I did manage to get some good vids and great picture closeups. Lots of love to Underworld from Canada!
matthew lonsdale there were professional cameras there throughout the night, they recorded us standing in the queue, then were around recording rick during his set and then the main show, i think it's highly likely something is coming from this but no idea what
I was down front/right to start with. But the wife is short and we were getting tired of the constant traffic of people back and forth trying to carry 4 pints through a dancing crowd. ... so we moved out to the back for the last 30 mins.
Could not agree more with you. My wife and I both over 5ft 9, had a bunch of stupid tarts next to us. Pissed and taking selfies all night, so we danced a bit harder, took up more room, and they soon got the message.
Where was Darren Price. Have something more important on? Which makes me think. What did Darren Price ever do anyway - apart from fiddle with his headphones and try to look busy. Good to hear Cups again. But If Rah and Ring Road in the live set? Jesus. Come on guys, give us a break. Far too little happening on stage for the wall of sound being generated. Discuss. And Bored Slippy? Yes totally now thank you.
Kidding? He was responsible for their best output. It's no coincidence that their weakest shit has been consecutive since he left. If Rah....Pearls Girl....I know which one I'd take to a desert island with me!
Pearls Girl is quite simply the best thing they've ever recorded - a perfect, perfect track, and it's a major disappointment that they've dropped it from their set this (and last) year.. Was at the gig, and yes, it was brill', but not as good as The Roundhouse last year, and I doubt they'll ever reach the live heights of 98/99 again (very little, if any, improvisation any more)
Agreed, Emily. My favourite track of theirs along with Dirty Epic. I blame the crowds more than the performers, it's hard to work a crowd up that are a) getting older b) jaded c) not taking good E's anymore. I stand by what I say though, their newer stuff is, in my opinion, shit. It just doesn't have any edge to it.
