I'm Hanks's age and it's funny because you'll see when you get older that the changes that happen in society are kinda hard to deal with, not hard but awkward, you get melancholy for a time when you were young, it sinks in that we're all insignificant to time, everything moves on regardless of your life's experiences.
"I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you!" -Abraham Simpson

I love this movie. And i love the new actors they are SO good. Did anyone else hear her say " use the force " when he was backing up? It mad me laugh like crazy i fell in love with the actress then and there.😂
This is so much like docking one's sailboat to a jetty! The old guy at the harbour standing there giving directiion, the wife trying to help, and the skipper doing his thing while having no idea what the other two wants him to do. 😆⛵
It made me laugh when Otto Anderson asked "What the hell is he doing?" at 0:31. He noticed that a man reversed his vehicle but his Uhaul trailer almost hit a house and Otto was concerned about it.
Well he's very adamant on following those guidelines that he set to do - yknow, his routine. So I'm guessing it would be unusual for a person like him to not shovel the house. And his neighbors (second family) know him well, so they could tell something was wrong. Hopefully that cleared it up a bit!
its not like he is taking the car to alaska. he was just parking the car. Plus, its a movie, it was a good way to introduce the audience to the children
Where is going to go? 😂look how boxed in the vehicle is? Rude as he was he did them a great favor. The little girls help take the anger down a notch or two.
No, I saw a few of them. I just don’t see any difference between any of the characters he plays. I find his acting “range” limited. He is (to me) the vanilla ice cream of acting talent - no surprises. I found him funny in the early roles, but as a dramatic actor he’s just average. I’m happy he gets so many jobs - I just don’t want to see the same performance every time I watch a “different” character. You seem to be satisfied with him though, so good for you. Cheers. :-)
I'm not mad but.... Why in God's name they changed woman's nationality???? Like choosing an iranian woman would Fit the whole character personality. Why did they do that? Why?
@@TheBogdanator the pregnant woman in the Swedish version of movie was iranian just like in the noval. I don't fucking know where is this bitch from but I know she's not iranian...
Plus you see the same movies made again and again. The same mistakes being made but usually bigger...repeat...repeat. Food tastes less well...a truth, more co2 in air means less taste. And of course the same lies being told...with less humour.
I do not recommend this movie to anyone struggling with their mental health or having ideations to harm themselves. There are numerous suicide attempts scenes in this film that are lengthy, detailed, and striking. Emotionally manipulative and potentially damaging.
I don't think that's fair. Not everyone will try to hurt themselves from seeing this just because there are depictions of the character attempting to end his life. The movie is dark at times, but also very hopeful and shows how community and checking on your neighbors can make a positive impact. Myself and my friends found it relatable. But of course everyone should judge for themselves if they're stable enough to watch, it might not be wise to view during a particularly sensitive mental health crisis, but that doesn't mean the movie itself is inherently manipulative or damaging.
On that basis I guess any movie that features shootings/murders should not be watched by people with mental health problems and any movie featuring scantily clad or nude women should not be viewed by anyone with lustful thoughts?

I am 27, I find the changes in society hard to deal with.
He's abrasive, he has no patience, but he helps. Criticizes and shouts, but doesn't call names. Grumpy old man with a heart of gold.
Idk why but I laughed so hard when he said "A dog with one front paw and cataract could do that" 🤣

Watch original movie called man called OVE
@@bobtorres7949 yes! To be fair I haven’t seen this version but the foreign A Man called Ovi was great.
Watched this a few weeks ago, and did actually enjoy it. Loved Hanks "jobsworth" like character.
Really? I think it's shitty, especially compared to the original.
Bullshit...... he's just another Hollywood prick that happens to be good at pretending to be other people.
The way his presentation and demeanor changed for the two little girls. Tom Hanks is such an amazing actor.
