If you have curly hair, whether it be type 3/4, this style will work for you. You don't have to have hair as long as Jasmine's for this style to work. Yes, you'll probably get shrinkage. My hair shrinks from bra-strap length to shoulder length when I do this hair style. You can either stretch your hair using bobby pins or the banding method or you can embrace the shrinkage. This hairstyle works best on textured, curly, or kinky hair as our ends tend to curl up on their own. If your hair is straight, you'll have to place rubber bands on the ends of each twist for them to stay in place.

Ciara,Cillian&Darragh Jackson yup. People with straight hair do twists and leave it over night so their hair has a curly texture in the morning. And they do braids if they want it wavy.
Ps. I have curly hair but when I used to straighten it I would do these if I got bored of it so as not to use heat on top of heat; and the videos I watched were of girls with straight hair.

I am sorry but this style is not for ppl with 3 hair. I have the same texture as her and I hate the way my twist come out. My best friend has 4 hair and her shit always bomb! It looks stringy on 3 hair and thick and juicy on 4 hair. I will blow dry my hair out befire I attempt this look again.
JUST SO Y'ALL KNOW every black girls' hair isn't this texture. Black girls' hair can vary depending on your genetics. And for all my 4c (afro texture, little or no curls, the coarsest texture) haired girls: You are BEAUTIFUL without the same texture as her. Your hair is good hair too! There's people like Jenners/Kardashians would die for your hair & culture baby girl. All black girls are beautiful in their own rite and don't let anyone tell you different! And don't let anyone tell your culture don't belong to you! 💕💕😊

Paris0825 I'm African American as well and your hair probably is stiff because the lack of moisture. deep condition your hair and make sure you use the right styling products. don't use too much product as this can weigh your hair down.

Also the size of the twists should be different for different hair types. So the tighter the hair coil, the smaller the sections for the twists for the most length and movement.

As long as your hair isn't bone straight you can still do the hairstyle but even if it is straight using a curl activator on wet hair can help

Try pulling the twist to the opposite side of your head and let it dry it elongates the hair. Or try watching the girls with kinkier hair do this style they are called loose twist

If that technique doesn't work try rollers at the end of your hair, it may look a little funny but I had the same problem a couple of years ago because my curls weren't as defined I was like 2c/3a but now I'm 3b/4a

Those of you who are saying they wish they had long hair to do it, you can also do this hair style with short hair and it's just as cute. No matter how thick or curly your hair is you can do twist it may not turn out the same because all of our hair textures are different but if you prefer for it to be longer just get hair and add it to the twist.
And for our naturally straight hair people you can't do twist because it'll unravel easily, but maybe braids would stay and look cute

i have natural 3a/3b curls that hold any style i put in them, yet i am transitioning from heat and color damage & this style is perfect considering i dont like really big loose curls and a ton of volume on my head🥰
its going to be easy for her to do it bec her hair is naturally curly anyway but if your hair is not curly then it will be harder to attempt

Who told you that lol, I tried this on my friends hair, it's bone straight all I did was do it while it's damp and I used a curl activator, lightweight oil and it looked good
Girls with bone straight hair should use a type of gel (eco styler, blueberry bliss edge control, or beezwax) for the ends of the hair so that the twist stay put

I love this hairstyle and I have the exact same hair hopefully growing longer than it is right now (half way down from my shoulder to my elbow) because I'm only 12 years old. Another way to put it up but still make it look really nice is to: after you have washed your hair, you put it in a half bun so that it is still a bun but a couple/few inches of the ends of your hair are hanging out and even though it looks nice at first, through a few hours as it dries it will start to look really really nice 😂 because it starts to sort of scrunch or crinkle up if you know what I mean and its sort of bumpy looking but in a really good way. sorry the end result is hard to describe but if you have this hair it should turn out beautiful ❤❤❤
To wash my hair I bring a brush and sometimes a comb to the shower and I wet my hair and brush and then put conditioner on the brush and then I brush it through my hair from bottom to top. This really helps if you have knotty hair and especially if perhaps you went swimming with your hair out and it got really matted it really helps get the knots out faster 😊

Missy Fever because honey we can't just put water on our hair and walk out the door with our hair looking like this. it takes products, and different techniques to keep our hair moisturized and frizz free in order to wear it out and not have knots the size of China on wash day. I WISH we could just wet our hair and leave 😂
