For anyone asking if the ink can be replaced, yes it can. Its the same as replacing the ink for smoke 2.0 by alan rorrison or double cross. Take the old ink out, cut the ink on the inside of a new sharpie so that its the same size as the chop ink, and then put it back in

I have Axel Heklau ‘ Cup’ . Similar concept without the sharpie and can be hands free. The cup provided is leather and the ball is actually a die ( dice). For those who have Chop my question is can it be used with a normal cup - porcelain etc ?

Looks and even more sounds great. I'm a card guy and until now, I was not familiar with the chop cup routine. Watched your review and the add, put my head around some principles, build a quick and very dirty "prototype", tested it. Great and fun routine and product that would work for me.

There is an effect taught with a pint glass, its a bit angley and a one and done. I wouldn't't spend forty bucks on just that presentation. But the other routines are solid. Smilesotheylikeyou

Might just be my magicians brain on this one but I much prefer the method used by Axel Hecklau in his Just A Cup routine. The sharpie just seems too suspicious IMO
The sharpie in play is justified by the signature on the bill, the moves are so natural that heat is rarely on it and if there is the moves quickly confound the spectators. The bill is "borrowed" so there's not much suspicion about the "gimmicks" Smilesotheylikeyou

If you really need to do chop cup with a paper cup, then just get a PK ring. This feels like another money grab and a long video that teaches you things you already learned 20 years ago in Michael Ammar's videos.
@@magicorthodoxy I don't understand how this is better than a PK ring. And yes you can do some wand moves with a sharpie, but why wouldn't you put it down? Why does it always have to be in your hand? I'm sure the video goes into a deep explanation as to why you should be holding the sharpie the entire time, but I just don't buy it. If you have to be holding the gimmick for the entire routine, with no real justification beyond "it makes the ball disappear", it's not that strong. It just limits The clarity of the effect.
I like this effect, however (and Craig already revealed the gimmick on his channel so I dont feel bad saying this out loud) the magnets are a bit toooo strong thus causing some difficult handling and removing the bill, napkin, paper, etc, whatever you're using to perform the effect with. I like it overall. And the marker is suspiciously heavy, I never hand it out personally. But its not something I personally see myself walking around with. This is a nitpick complaint, but the video quality on the tutorial could have been higher quality. Idk when it was filmed but it had to be after 2020? No excuse for it being a 720p download. It gets the point across but HD or 4k quality would have been nicer.

One of my best friends in magic swears by this effect I've bought in the past year but have bought so much magic in the past year it kinda sits around but I'm not denying it's power I just hate walking around with a soggy coffee cup in my pocket. My new job has the right sized cup in black plastic so I thought I'd get into this weekend since I'll be rained out of the street. I dont know if it's awkward, I've seen many magicians use a magic wand during a chop cup routine, it's no different than that
