Really excited for the new Empire ships. I love to see the mixed fleets of Nations each specializing . I also like how the Chinese lore of wanting to take a stronger navel influence to the Japanese.
Tanks for your thoughts on the new releases. As an Empire player i have made a few thoughts of their new releases as well. And after some discussion on the official Discord i would like to say this about the new Empire Box: The Ergun / Heilong we already knew. Sadly no new build option like the one we got with the Naraka in the Nin Jing battlefleet. I would have liked to see a totally new design since all the chinese surface falgships look so similar... As for the 6 new cruisers: Diyu - likely to have one inferno canon. So blast artillery. Could also have a small repair option due to the small crane in the rear Yaoji - probably 2 Erlang Sheng bombards per ship. Quite strong, so maybe only 1-2 ships per squadron. Rear mounted small gun battery is new for chinese. Interesting to know wether we will also see the small rockets and the mortar as separat small turret options now. Mekong - I tought it to be a light cruiser. But it is most likely a landing vessel thanks to the ramp in the bow. Also note the new heavy flamer turret of which we hopefully will have 2 -3 per sprue. Wuhan - repair cruiser. Most likely with advanced repair facilities. Lantau - logistical support i assume. Quiang - Seems like the baseline combat cruiser id say. One heavy and two light turret mounts. The mass one skimmer is also neat.
Yeah, that all makes sense. Mind you, I can totally see the Yaogi being a three cruiser squad though... It's not totally out of line compared to Augustus bombards.
Its a great set of releases this month. Chinese getting some mich needed love and the commonwealth doubling down on the level of bonkers looking ships.
I will risk a proposition that this turret on those new Imperial M1 ships is some sort of a flak cannon. And the open question is: How much better that Alliance flying carrier will be than Avalon?
Yes! But they got their own game now as the scale was often off compared to the ships. The older DW had bombers the size of dockyards flying around and that also didn't sit right. Armoured Clash is the name of the new (10mm scale) game and will be previewed this weekend at UKGE. Keep your eyes on the channel because there will be updates for sure!

I love the look of the flamethrower turrets.
Oh 100%!! It's going to make the Chinese ships look a lot more vicious too!
BURN BURN BUUUUURN
I am looking forward to hearing more about the ground war later this year.
I pity the flightstand of the flying Compensator.
It's actually not that large, the turrets on it are the same size as the regular turrets. The angle is just weird.

Loving the look of both sets but the Chinese looks really good!
A generic escorts token for the empire world have been nice, however I'm an incredibly excited for everything else.
Yeah, true. That might still come in the Japanese kits though... Or Korean?
Who knows. In the end, I'm not too worried about it. I 3d printed some fishing barques that I use in the meantime.

At this point, anything is better than the Avalon, right? :D

What are the odds that one of the mechs will get a drill weapon?
I'm hoping 100%!
Did this game have land forces at one time? Like land battleships and tanks?
