Dear Yasushiro, by studying the scales and the solo, one remark and one question came up: 1. Isn't it a mistake in the D minor blues scale missing the natural accidental before the lowest F ? 2. I have access to the PDFs and the solo example by abonnement. I do not see any specific rule, when to use D minor blues scale or D major blues scale. In different turns you play ist more or less interchangeable ... Is it like this, or is there a rule when looking at the chord changes from the original tune !? An answer would be very helpful. Kind regards Detlef
1.You are right. The lowest C and F need a ♮ symbol. 2.In Blues in D, the D Major Blues Scale and the D Minor Blues Scale sound good in any bar. The only thing to note is that where the chord tone contains an F, the F# note should be avoided.
Brilliant. The head is more difficult than the first solo. Breaks you in well. There are great "easy" solis. Looking forward to more. Making a lista of them all. How do you get the pdf?
Great Charlie Parker tune! It fits right in with your blues courses, too.
