A lot of water flowing down the river this year. It's often quite low. We were just there a few days ago. Coincidentally we had breakfast at Biff's just before we drove to the park. My side of the family has been going to Old Mill ever since I was born and I'm now 66. We used to be allowed inside the water tower but not no more. Thanks for sharing this.
I haven’t been there in years. I use to go with my family years ago. Live in EGF, MN. It was a fun place to go. Was always exited to go….we make it a great time with my siblings.
Thanks for showing an out of the way, lovely park. My autumn camping/road trip may need to be extended to take in 'way up north' - an area I haven't visited in a very long time.
That's ware I learned how to swim at the ripe old age of nine my sister she picked me up by my leg and arm and flung me into the water wair I almost died 🤨 but doing the dog paddle I survived..thanks Katherine 🎉I learneded how to swim that day. In 1972. I still live in Thief River

The swimming hole has no pump. It's fed by the water above the dam & released back to the river below the dam. I was last there 47 years ago. Looks the same.

Even after a week of camping in the new tent, i was still squatting down from time to time inside because I am so used to the low tents. I must say, its so nice to stand up and put your pants on in the morning, its the small things. Thanks!
No app. Really, I just kind of look at maps, dig a bit deeper with google maps, and try to do a little research on the area so I kind of know what I'm getting into. This whole area was completely new to me, so it was really fun just to see new places. The Minnesota state park web site is used, but not really too helpful other than booking the campsite. Thanks!
