    I think a lot a people are missing the reason that old figures and sets are used. While part of it is just because it looks neat, I think it does a good job of making you comfortable and nostalgic. It makes you feel safe with memories of your childhood before sucker punching you with the harsh reality of warfare. It’s a beautifully horrific way of delivering a real war story. Hats of to the creator

      I always loved how LEGO the older lego star wars stuff looks. It’s so true to the medium that it doesn’t clash with those 1980s fireman outfits used as military uniforms. Really helps keep attention on the story which is just incredible. A perfect balance of cool war film and the horrors of war 👌 S tier sh*t

    This is one of those rare stopmotion’s that leaves you speechless at the end, that shot at 13:36 was genius in that is shows war even in the star wars universe if just like every war fought in existance. In terms of animation I loved the practical effects with lasers and blood, the OG figs were very nostalgic and all in all just a masterpiece you should consider yourself one of my favourite animators lol this was brutally brilliant!

    I love how in the previous Star Wars video, it show the clones fighting from the left and the separatists fighting from the right. Usually in movies bad guys are depicted as coming from the right while the good guys come from the left. But I’m this video, it completely throws the sides in reverse. This video perfectly depicts a different perspective of the clones, while also humanizing the separatists. Seeing as we already saw only the republic perspective I love how you switched the roles and went further deep with the separatists, which makes this extra special. I love what this series is becoming and hope to see more! This is awesome dude!

    This is top tier Lego stop-motion, no question. Not only did you perfectly capture the classic late-2000s stop-motion feel we all know and love, but your storytelling is very impactful and moving, and the kind of story shown here is something we rarely get to see in mainstream Star Wars. I really liked the way you had the parallel and opposite protagonists in the Red Clone Officer and Yellowbrick City Husband/Father - such great implementation of this story element. On top of all of that goodness, you packed your animation with references to so many awesome franchises and other Star Wars stories, enriching your own in the process. Just going off the top of my head - I absolutely loved your use of 'Mars' from The Planets when the Clones disembarked from the AT-TE's - perfect fit, it was so cool hearing the Halo 5 depleted shield sound effect for the bomb timer, the inclusion of the original Doom Guy grunts were a nice throwback, and of course, sound effects from the Battlefront games, CW 2003, Republic Commando, etc. all worked perfectly (and I know I missed some too lol). Can't wait to see more! You deserve far more recognition...you're up there with some of the best in my book.

      @MackuProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are far too kind! I'm glad you enjoyed the film and the little easter eggs sprinkled throughout. I was surprised how well Mars fit that scene in particular and was very happy with how that came out. There are a lot of video game references in there and I'm glad you were able to recognize a lot haha. I couldn't do this without your support so thank you for that! I've started working on my next film already which will be my biggest project ever, but I think you will really enjoy it. There's a hint for what it will be on my community tab of my channel. This takes me back to the times of attack of the clones and the 2003 cw show. When the much grittier clone wars multimedia project was spearheaded by Dark Horse comics. For a Lego film, you tell surprisingly mature stories with little to no dialogue, remaining faithful to the original Lego Star Wars aesthetics and sound design and the original legends clone wars tones. Astounding. There are major Hollywood films that can't achieve this these days.

    Beautiful work, mate. I feel like a wee little kid again, sitting at my dad's computer and binging Battle of the Brick, Lego v MegaBlocks, and CoD/Lego battles for hours. The old figures really helped take me back to when I was a kid.
    Cheers!

Fantastic stop motion, 1st class visual story telling, excellent choice in music & to top it all off, an amazing large scale lego battle we've all played out on the floor! An underrated masterpiece, well done!

    The quality and humor and battle style is so like how the stopmotion community was in my youth. Now days, there are a lot of good quality animations, but they zoom in very close to the battle sequences, whereas this kind of film shows the talent of the animator keeping track of multiple animated characters at once. (and helps with the scope and scale of the battle) and shows off the collection of the owner :) It's amazing!

    Excellent Animations and outstanding storytelling. I am speechless. The thung I liked the most about the 2 films is that you only rely on old clonetroopers and lego sets in general. But with that you're still able to create different battalions, captains etc. And the use of the old weapons like the megafon blasters or the revolver pistols. One of the best Lego Star Wars animations I've seen. Splendid!

    This actually feels like a short film. It's really well shot and I like the perspectives shown between the clones and an average resident of yellow brick city. The story is amazing! The message I got from this video is that death is part of war. Losing family members, friends in war. People die from war and it's sad, but people just have to accept that reality. This is seriously awesome! Hope this guy makes more Brickfilms.

    Ladies and Gentlemen: How to Tell a Story 101. Not a *single* line of dialogue in this film, and we have received one of the most emotional and character driven stories ever told by the LEGO Animation community. Proof that what the Republic does is not always right and some people choose to ally themselves with the Separatists. Proof that civilian casualties do happen and families and children do get caught in the cross fire. This film shows what war is like and who has to live to tell the tale and who has to watch it unfold. The red armed commander saw the dead civilians he tried to help but ultimately killed. The clones only did what they were ordered and trained to do, but couldn’t see past what they had done to the city. What a film, what a story, and what an animation. You have truly made something special and something great. I hope this story continues to unfold.
