    They MUST finish the tramway back to Sea Terminal, or even beyond to near the Railway Station. This would help the bars and restaurants on North Quay thrive during the season ( and beyond)!!!

      I agree with you, I don't know how they decide these things, may be they Don't want to have the horses at all. Very sad state of affairs. The island has become too overcrowded, with all the new company's building everywhere, and not being asked to put payments into affordable housing for the population.

    £26m and the horse tram starts in the middle of nowhere? Sounds like the work of a lunatic!

    Loving the amount of unmarked motorcycle parking ;-)
    Missing my family and spiritual home from afar. Hoping to return some time in the future.

    Now that the Prom is nearly finished may be now we can focus on the rest of the roads on the Island before they start any other large project.

    Looking at an OS Map from Broadway where the horse trams will terminate to the ferry terminal is about one kilometre as the crow flys. Who put that through planning ?

      It doesn't work. A clash of period styles. A mish mash. It's lost its charm.

    Where are the tramlines?/ Pretty useless really. No use for visitors, do they want any? Just the same as any car city or town. Not well thought out

    all parking spots are always occupied during the day. you're in trouble with insurance if you get hit on these roundels. modern lights ruin the view of the beautiful classic buildings. please go back to the drawing board.

      It is apparently a traffic calming feature. I believe that drivers, riders, pedestrians etc are expected to take extra care when crossing them.

    Not impressed, 25m isn't enough, you can put perfume on a pig but it still stinks, 50 million would take it to a new level.

      You will need a passport at the airport, if that is how you are travelling, but that is usual for any destination.

    • @knobrotknobrot
      @knobrotknobrot 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Offshoreorganbuilder you need Id not a passport.

    • @Offshoreorganbuilder
      @Offshoreorganbuilder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@knobrotknobrot The usual form of photo id is a passport.
      You might get away with something else (what did you have in mind?) but I wouldn't risk it, myself.

    • @Offshoreorganbuilder
      @Offshoreorganbuilder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are travelling by air, you will need a passport as a form of photo identification.
      The Carrot Face (not a name to inspire confidence) seems to think differently, so maybe you could use something else. This risks being left at the gate, of course, but perhaps it would work.
      If you try it, please let me know in these comments. I would be interested to hear.
      Travelling by the ferry may be different: I don't know. (Only lived here for over 40 years, so still getting used to the new wheezes.)
