It's funny to watch your expression as you talk about your first trip to Milan. I can recall a hundred and five years ago when I was a young corporate pilot with the same enthusiasm about traveling to new places. Now I'm retired from flying and miss it.
Enjoy it as long as you can, I always did.
Your vlogs are very uplifting and fun to watch. Maybe one day I'll run into you on a flight. I'm going back and forth between CLT and JFK all the time.

48 hours layover after an eight hour flight... you're blessed. My daughter get's a 24 hour layover after a 14 hour flight to JFK.
Stella! You should totally do mobile ordering for Starbucks for those days you a running a tad late. Just order on the app while ur in security and then by the time you get to Starbucks, Bam already ready at the counter for you.

Fly With Stella anytime girl! ❤ I found out about it with the app and now every time I go to work and I don't have time to wait in the lanes all I do is skip everyone, grab and go! Starbucks made life a little easier and maybe is breaking the bank too with this 😂😀

I start training 15th Feb here in the UK (Yorkshire based) and although I'll only be short haul (longest flight 5 hours) i sooo hope I'm as happy and loving my job as you are! I never thought I'd want to do long haul because i like how with short haul I get to turn around and come home but you're totally selling it to me haha! xx
Stella, have you tried starbucks mobile ordering via the app? I don't know if they have it at JFK, because I know some locations don't. But you should definitely check it out. You can order your drink a few minutes before with the app, and just walk by and pick it up. Such a time saver!
I love your glasses so much. I recently had my eyes tested and I need glasses so I chose some pretty similar to yours. I think they're a bit smaller frame but I'm loving the clear plastic. Can't wait for them to be ready! Milan! How exciting. The perks of being a jet setting flight attendant. I imagine it's not all glitz and glamour but 48 hours in Milan must make it worthwhile.

Stella, your skin has been glowing these last few months. What else have you been doing besides the masks and clean eating? I always got 2 little twins shoved together in Italy. ;)
Wow I was sooo excited for you!!! Milan! Wow! Too bad the view is terrible and that "crew lounge" is positively dreadful! But it's Milan! You must tell us how the rest of the senior crew was to work with. You're a great representative (advertisement) for your airline. I would book a trip with AA just on the chance you would be my flight attendant.

That's what I like of being a flight attendant. You're going to wake up early, have some a cup of coffee and enjoy the scenery of the sunrise..

Stella I know exactly what its like to not have any seniority. I was the last person in my station to be hired on in 2015. So they threw me in Below Wing operations for the competition airline
Why don't you get the Starbucks app so you can order your drink from your phone and don't have to wait in line? (Idk if they do that in airports) just a suggestion
When you get a 2 days layover, do you spend on food by your own?

I didn't know that flight crew is expected to tip hotel and transportation vendors. Maybe you can speak more about that. It is possible that they earn more than cabin crew.
That must be an US airlines custom. British Airways crews stayed at the hotel I worked at and they never tipped us.
Only customary when crew brings family or friends otherwise not common
It's optional. Usually the pilots do it the most since they get paid a lot more than the flight attendants.
db60615 captains get paid more, not FOs

Does a person who lets say speaks Italian get more trips to Italy?
Evolutionbeauty it depends. For example, when I went to Puerto Rico on a delta flight, there was a Spanish speaking person translating the captain announcements and safety announcements. I’m not very used to American, so idk they do that same service as delta does, but if they do, then yes!
Evolutionbeauty a speaker or what we call at Delta an LOD flight attendant (Language of destination) has better chances of holding destinations that speak the language at a more junior seniority because there are 1 to multiple positions (depending on the size of the aircraft) dedicated to only “speakers”
