The thing with streaming services is that they have a deal with the internet providers to have something like a cache server for high speeds in populated areas. TH-cam video from the servers of the TH-cam could be coming from across the world in the worse case. How is the ping with this thing? There are sites that can test your ping spikes, if anyone wants to do a competitive gaming, like the other chap below with Destiny, having a good and consistent ping is a must. If anyone plans 5G upgrade learn how the technology works, it's really fast if the coverage is good, unlike 4G the signal of the wave can't travel very far. Many objects can block the signal.
5G is a whole last faster than my 4G device ever was. From the first 'search engine ping site' I happened upon, I have a median ping of 24.0 ms currently. Will try again at my optimal times.
It would be hard to imagine the network's speed here even in a major city was far beyond meeting a high standard for the highly digitized world. I just relocated from Hong Kong and looking for an apartment in the city center of Manchester, but the speed of broadband made me more limited in my choices.
Hi Huddison! Great stuff! I was just curious about how did you contact Vodafone to opt for GigaCube? Was it through the website or did you contact customer care? could you brief the journey of opting for the router to collect it from the nearby Vodafone store?
I was already with Vodaphone for a good number of years, so asked them advice for something that would give me better interne speeds; I also explained to the young lady assisting me, exactly why I required better internet (re making videos). I don't recommend the Gigacube currently and I will likely make an update video on it soon.
Hello Huddison! I hope you're doing well. Your flight sim channel seems to have vanished. I enjoy that channel quite a bit and was looking to revisit your VelocityOne videos as well as see what's new. Hopefully it's just a snafu and the channel will be back up soon. Thank you for the content you provide.
did you playd games with the gigacube? im thinking about buying one for simple games like league of legends valorant or some others but i didnt found a single person that uses one and tryd it noone is having a video or shared experience in gaming on different games
i ask because here where i am right now and when i travel i dont have my homeinternet, but i try it myselfe the comming weeks and then i can give an update how good it works and wich games work@@huddisonretromoderngaming
Thank you for the video. When you say it slows down could you let me know to which speed? I only need 40 mbps to be honest. If it proves this speed during peak hours then this is a good solution for me
It can and has slowed right down to around 20 mbps of late and the upload speed can be atrocious at times. I really need to make an update video on the Gigacube soon.
It's much faster now on my new PC - hitting 360 m/bits per sec download speeds. It should be fine in most case uses; it just depends on the reception in your current location.
Sorry if it’s a retarded question but is the gigacibe thing portable? Eg could I use it at home as normal, and then also have it with me in the van when I’m off exploring about places? Cheers.
@@huddisonretromoderngaming ahh cause if you have nat 3 you cant really play online and thats my concern im thinking to get one butbif i have nat 3 and not 2 then im not getting it y know

I have it back somewhat, but still working on a few things; stay tuned.
We have the same for £27 a month unlimited, really fast.

I use it to fly with MSFS online. If you're able to, I would go with a traditional broadband solution - much more stable speeds.

Im thinking of buying it cos my wifi connection in my accomodation block mmorpg games. Will this gigacube be fast enough for playing mmo's?

Is there a problem with the flight sim channel, I can’t seem to find it suddenly
It was hacked, but back up now although I still have to fix the branding - ignore the channel name for now, it is indeed me (Huddison ;)
Just to be sure, the title I’m seeing is Tesla US. This is you and not the hijacker’s right?
@@wallymurray620 It is me - didn't realise my alt channel was changed too ;\

The Gigacube needs to be plugged in to work.
you can buy 12v to usb type c cable then you can plug it in your car
What nat typ do you have nat 1 or 2 could i play like destiny 2 online without problems or do you have nat 3
It's all going to come down to whether the Gigabox is good in your specific location.
