Remembrance memory of concert at St.Polten (au) on our way back from bear country (Croatia) ,a group of 15y.o girls saying, I have seen the who in excitement!! Thank you Hans dear mate, even saw the son of Roger handing over one handcrafted 4 strings tamborič/ukulele for pete or Roger ,afterwards a wave of thank you hands from Roger's first love ❤️ the night after we have seen pete as playing schubert next to the church in Ulm 🇩🇪 But we are both double Dutch, great memory in friendship dear Hans ❤🤗
OMG! I can't believe it! I'm in the film! I'm the one getting an autograph from Pete at the 3:50 mark exactly. I remember that night like it was yesterday.
@@lindadixon4341 why are you writing this to me? I didn’t say that they were not good. I just said that they love the attention of saying this will be the last tour. It was obviously all a hoax. I think you need to read my comment again, I don’t think you understood it correctly.
A "farewell" tour is a pretty sketchy thing, KISS has been on their "Farewell Tour" for 32 years and counting. The Who probably should have retired in 82, I saw them in 89 where Pete played an acoustic guitar the whole night. Yeah thanks, that's what I wanted to spend my money on, Pete strumming by a campfire, joy.
@@bruinsrule1151 It was because the ear ringing issue, at least that's what they said at the time, it was to save his hearing. Who knows! See what I did there?
If John Entwistle could have kept his spending and bad habits in check, 82 probably would have been the last Who tour. I remember in 89, Pete actually admitted in several interviews, "The reason we're doing this is for the money". What he didn't say was WHY they were "only in it for the money" in 89, which was that John was on the verge of losing his house, because he was still living liek a rock star, living in a big mansion, and buying expensive guitars and cars, and apparently he still had a coke problem too.
@@peteanderson4395 It was a good show but not The Who, it was the New Who Review. Unfortunately I'm the age where I saw many classic bancs, but most were after their heyday after changed lineups when they reconvened. Oh well, that's life.
"I need to strike new ground". Translation: I need go off and make MOR pop music, because I'm bored with being a rocker. (or a mod, or mocker, or whichever idiot gang Pete would want to be affiliated with).

Pretty sure that was when he impaled his hand with a whammy bar, can’t really blame him
