Started with a simple meme, now I'm watching entire Chinese operas, lol. Was a pretty good one too. Cool story, cool costumes, super cute boi. Only thing that bothered me was the sound cut-off from 1:25:46 to 1:28:20, just when it got _really_ interesting. Even the subtitles seem to be missing for some bits there.
2:02:57 woah that was one hell of a climax, gave me chills, but honestly good for qin xianglian, justice was served, good for her, the way she looks into the camera just shows that she finally got what she needed: closure, and justice, im really happy for her :)
This isn't in the user manual, so thank you! Saved me one time I got caught out on the rain... But what advice would you give if the tonneau lid and boot lid keep touching when lifting? Is it down to how much you turn the hex key? Thank you again!

Iirc, it goes as follows: during the Qing dynasty (17th century to 1911), there was an official named Chen Shumei with a wife called Qin Xianglian. Chen was, like Bap Zheng, a just and correct official, which earned him, like with Bao Zheng, many enemies and haters. So, those guys, instead of killing him, decided to write a whole work where he is the bad guy (they just changed one character in his and his wife's name, in sort of to sound similar). Plus, they added Bao Zheng as the good guy to oppose even more his "villainness". In other words, irl bad guys created a whole 'good guy slander' because they didn't like irl good guy
@@Darjielingdidn’t they came from the song dynasty? If they came from the Qing should they have wore different hats and clothing? And their hair is supposed to pushed back and braided.
Is it that bad? I've felt like it's probably kinda mediocre, leaving out a lot and not translating certain things literally enough, but since I don't speak Chinese (only know a couple words), I'm not completely sure.
I like how every time after a character makes an important statement / argument they strike the drum, it’s almost like china’s version of the vine boom lmao
There is something I don't quite understand, if Qin is 32, how old is Chen? He ought to be around the same age as his wife or older. If that's the case, how old is the princess? In my mind, it doesn't make sense for the princess to marry at such a late age, or for her to marry someone from humble origins that is much older than her, she is royalty afterall. Especially in ancient times, people have shorter life spans, so I imagine 30 is already relatively old.
the princess must be 15 and the least favorite of emperor's daughters. he makes his daughter married a nobody and powerless, that's a real tactics used by royals if they want to save someone from politics.
Altough it's sound weird that the pricess marriage seem late, you only need to look at the cancellor "serving three emperor" age, even if the average live expentancy is only 30 if you manage to pas childhood you won't exactly die once you reach 30 another thing is that the emperor son-in-law and his old wife married for 10 year so they actually marry at 20,if poor peasant could afford it to postpone getting married that long the emperor daughter could surely do the same
This is a story that is not completely true. In the novel version of the Ming Dynasty, Chen Shimei did not become a royal husband. In the novels of the Qing Dynasty, Chen Shimei became a royal husband. But no matter which version of the story, Chen abandoned his wife and children after becoming a senior official in the exam.
She wanted justice and in that part where she can't have Shi Mei executed of his crimes, she laments that all officials are just saving their own skins rather than handing justice to the people.
What she did is right, the prince abandoned his wife and children, he lied to the king in order to marry the princess, he attempted to assassinate his original wife and children. Lying to the king alone is enough to get him executed so taking 300 teals of silver and simply leaving is clearly not just!
