    Yeah I also like that the kinbor doesn’t have quotes! Thanks for sharing!

    I love using Kenbor with over 100 inks in my fountain pens. I am a big fan of it! I have purchased more than 15 standard A6 Kinbor notebooks and continue to buy them monthly.

    You're so real! I love this video and agree with all of your takes. I don't get why people get so pressed about this stuff. I mean, we all love stationery, but COME ON, we're talking about notebooks and pens, not geopolitics. No need to get angry or be disrespectful just because someone likes a specific type of paper you don't.

    I just ordered a kinbor a6 for 2024…i am not willing to spend the hobinichi price at this time of my life, but I’m excited about the layout of the book and I’ve never used tomoe river paper so I’m sure I’ll love it!!! And I love that it was $12.

      I think you will really like the Kinbor! The paper is really good quality and the layout is basically perfect. Happy Planning! :)

    I absolutely love my kinbor 😍 never had any problems with any pens or inks with it 😀

    I had the same experience with my Kinbors. Some inks do bleed a little but the majority work just fine. If you encounter any problems, maybe you could experiment with less wet ink or a finer nib size. Zig dot pens do present a problem but if I recall correctly they were also temperamental in my Hobonichis. 😂 I will probably stick to Kinbor in 2024.

      I agree with you about nib size and ink. I did see someone say that their EF nib still bled through, but they must have been using a heavy duty ink...my personal favorite is Jaques Herbin Stormy Grey, which is a dye based ink. Half the fun (for me) is trying tons of samples and seeing what looks good on paper.

      @@thedaydreamerplans I think I heard somewhere that they changed the paper in the Kinbors. Or that the paper differs from planner to planner. I think there is an undated one which has not the same quality but I am really not sure. I never ordered an undated one, just the weeks since 2022 and the cousin avec size in 2023.
      Thanks for the J.Herbin recommendation. I have tried the Emeraude de Chivor ink, the Amethyste de l'Oural, Cornaline d'Egypte, Carobe de Chypre and the Violet Imperial. And I really like them a lot. But I have wondered if I would like Stormy Grey. I think I will buy a sample next!
      I also like the Wearingeul inks although it's a bit tricky to get samples. Likewise with Ferris Wheel Press, they are always sold out in my neck of the woods. 😂
      I admit I didn't try out any heavy duty ink explorations on the Kinbor paper yet. I have got enough TR Paper around after ordering a lot of Hobonichi stuff over the years, so I always play around with TR paper and inks. But I am not so much of an ink enthusiast yet, still rather a newbie although I use fountain pens since school. But all those beautiful ink colours are pretty new to me.

      @briwinter5098 where is your neck of the woods?! I've been wanting to get samples of Ferris Wheel Ink too, and I'd be happy to send some to you ❤️

      @@briwinter5098yes the Kinbor uses a thicker paper not the Bauchuan paper in some of theirs like the undated and in some notebooks.

    Do you know when kin or 2024 planners will be out. I much prefer their horizontal weekly to Hobonichi weeks. More room and whiter paper. I also like the feel of the paper more.. The only thing I wish they would do differently is to line up the grids of the note page facing the weekly pages with each day of the week.

      Kinbor will have 2024 planners around September/October of this year. I think I bought mine at the beginning of November from AliExpress.

    I’ve used lots of FP ink in the Kinbor bauchuan paper planners (their other paper they have in some undated and notebooks isn’t great) but the dated planners and they’ve been great. I watercolored too.
    I think Kinbor is a great option and a great dupe.

      I haven't tried watercolor yet, but that is definitely on my bucket list. What is your favorite every-day-use fountain pen ink?

    I loved your video! Nothing wrong with being misled, I hear all over YT about Kinbor having tomoe river paper. I ordered Kinbor A5 for 2024 for the first time. I am done (for now at least) with Moleskine which I have been using for the past 12 years as my daily journal. For me, the cost of shipping Hobonichi Cousin would be more than the cost of the planner itself (and I'm not sure wheather there would be more to pay as VAT, tax or some customs payment), therefore Kinbor - simple maths/ it's more money-friendly :) I'm waiting for it to arrive and I will start experimenting with pens/ gel pens/ fountain pens. I hope it's going to be exciting :)

      I like it too! I still haven't found a fountain pen ink that bleeds through. I'm thinking some of the haters had a "user error" moment.

    Do you know if the paper is similar to stalogy?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not Stalogy paper but it is similar in that it’s thin and can handle a lot. I’ve used fountain pens and watercolors on it and it works great.

    • @thedaydreamerplans
      @thedaydreamerplans  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with @JustScribble It is a thin coated paper that is similar, but not the same. It can easily handle fountain pen ink and highlighters, though not all. Experiment and have fun!
