@@clutcha_drip138rare L take from Lyes because Caicedo is comfortably a level above partey and has probably been the best midfielder in the League this season.
tweaks I picked up 1. Badiashile gave more balance playing at LCB, looked uncomfortable on the right 2. Caicedo moving to midfield, much closer to Enzo for more control 3. Gusto at back 3, and Cucurella inverting into midfield linking up well with Sancho 4. More swtches from Enzo to Neto for 1v1

Great analysis in the spurs section Lyes, I do think Ange should stay the season but he cannot have any complaints if he is sacked. He has to adapt, he needs to actually start getting points on the board if he truly wants to be a success at this club. He needs to be able to actually string a set of results together, have some semblance of consistency, we haven't gotten three wins in a row in the league since the end of last year, Arteta and Klopp were both able to do that during their building seasons. But firing him won't solve anything, like you said, there is no one currently to come in that would do significantly better than Ange, and I'm also interested in seeing how he responds in the toughest moment of his career so far. I say we just ride it out and hope there is an uptick in form in the new year, though it is looking increasingly unlikely. Honestly though, the real problem are these owners, a summer with 3 teenagers and 1 senior player is laughable. I agree with your point that spurs need to figure out what kind of club we want to be. We have the most expensive season ticket prices in the country, a world class stadium, and are in the top 10 most profitable clubs in the world yet we have nothing to show for it except 20 years of failure. This club has no vision, no true ambition, and no competence at the top.
Ya we aren't doing anything of signficance long-term with these owners. For me though I would sack him just because he cannot get the balanced between attack and defence right at all. I am throwing a hail mary here hoping that the board would pay big to try and get zidane or xavi. If not, then I would still take Potter as I think he's more flexible and could do more with this squad but we still are never gonna get to the very top with this ownership
@@randomguy1401honestly I so respect spurs fans. It’s easy to just support Arsenal, support another English club or any club in general who wins trophies. But after suffering heartbreak after heartbreak, they still remain. That takes an immense amount of loyalty to do so
I think biggest tweak is prolly caicedo to midfield. He was getting spun around like a pretzel all through the first half and he wasn’t making any forward runs
And he’s absolutely correct in his outlook. But we live in a social media generation we’re highlight reels will get you 90 million pounds worth of scrubs as opposed to people actual doing their due diligence to take time to understand a players skillset and profile and ascertain whether they fit the system you are trying to build or not and whether they agree with the club’s footballing philosophy.
it’s so funny ashworth and ten hag pushed for the obligation to buy for sancho while chelsea wanted the straight loan. Even if we don’t want him back we probably just lost another potential 15-25 million in transfer value.
That is an interesting choice. As from what I can see Ødegaard has shown to be both a defensive and offensive 10. Palmer is more of an out and out 10. Though he does have some tenacity to get into the mix. I would still take Palmer as I feel as a midfielder he is more complete. In terms of passing, shooting, speed, IQ and so on. Plus, Palmer imo can dribble and shoot which I don't fully think Ødegaard really has in his locker.
3:10 The main thing in my eyes was the Lavia substitution. Ironically Lavia was probably the best player in the first half, but when he went off and gusto came on we when to a more traditional back 4, moving Caicedo back to the middle and Badiashile back to his favored left side. As a result our fullbacks were wider, opening up the midfield more which unlocks palmers, and on top of that Caicedo and Enzo in the middle with space were always going to boss Sarr and Bissouma.
@@Admiral_KekdogWhat kind of logic is that? He’s faster cause he’s from Nigeria😂😂😂 Watch games with your eyes. Palmer is great player but today other than scoring 2 penalties he didn’t do too much. His passes weren’t accurate etc. But it’s todays game you play alright game but score 1 goal and you the best ITW
The halftime changes for Chelsea were massively underrated. Taking Lavia out and putting Gusto in to allow Caicedo to spend more time winning the midfield at halftime, while also moving Badiashile from right side cb to left side because Badiashile was getting cooked and exposed for being on his weak side the first half. And since we would normally have Fofana playing there who is able to play RB and right side CB confidently, it would allow Caicedo to do the inverting while still being secured by Fofana on the right. But since thats not an option this game, having Gusto come in to help secure the right side of the pitch, putting Colwill as right side cb who is a lot more secure with the ball at his feet and letting Badiashile be on his more dominate Left CB side, all while letting Caicedo focus more in midfield and taking the pressure off our backline as a whole was HUGE imo. I think the halftime changes were a lot bigger than people noticed.
@LiamPowelluuu2bruh first of all you are talking like Palmer took 2 or 3 pens and score them...he took 17/17...I dk what could get any better than that...
our season literally hangs on Caicedo man, he might be our most important cog in this team. when he went into midfield in the second half, that's when we broke down Spurs. there are games where we will play 4-3-3, with no traditional 10. (Lavia, caicedo and Enzo) all in the midfield, I can see it
it’s not that hard to understand. enzo scored off a lucky deflection, but palmer created the chance for that goal to happen just by beating 3 defenders and getting the shot off. he didn’t purposely pass the ball to enzo but he still made that goal opportunity happen
with spurs i kinda feel like they should accept that this whole winning-a-big-trophy thing isnt happening and just become a selling club like dortmund. they cant really attract truly world class players or managers in their prime by the size/name of the club and they are clearly unwilling to try to attract them with money
The context around the caicedo transfer is not given enough, it was during a very competitive transfer market for Dms and not loads of option for sale, he was a product of supply n demand rather than value, i think that should be taken into consideration more
