The alarm was most likely a dealer installed option by a local company at the time. Also power antennas were on either side. Seville 1978, drivers side. 1978 DeVille had windshield imbedded one, poor reception by those then. Antennas were universal 46 years ago. Way back machine, I remember those on the showroom floor.

You did not demonstrate the sunroof, load leveling, automatic radio antenna. The radiator overflow reservoir cap is missing. Demonstrate the heater/AC control.

Our Sedan De Ville had the alarm key in the same location on the fender. Came from factory like that.
If it upsets you that much stop friggen looking at it,its there for a purpose,no other reason,just like wheel nuts
