The Lotus flower under the feet of the Lord, is not an ordinary lotus flower, but it is the Sahasrara Padmam/Sahasrara Chakra (the lotus flower with a thousand petals in Kundalini Yoga). The reason for the heat in the chamber could be that the idol might be still active. Aghora Shiva is a fierce form of Lord Shiva. Dragon is not Chinese; in ancient Hindu text it is called Vyali. The column going from the bottom of the idol to underground is a normal method used in consecrating idols to make it alive.

When the Kundalini starts to climb from the coiled position in the mooladhara and reaches the Sahasrara Padmam, one attains unity with Shiva. The mantric chants and rituals done in the temple on daily basis, awaken the kundalini of the idol and make it active. This whole idea is based on the awakening of Kundalini and enlightenment.

I also learn archeology, about the the smaller chamber inside the Candi (tower), there are simply empty rooms for the God's spirit may sit there. And the small box below the statue is called "Peripih". That's the soul of the temple, the seeds, bones and metal inscriptions are sacred things to make the building and the statue alive. The dragon is the depiction Naga in Samudra Manthana story. That's how we make the image of Naga. It's also better for you to explain 3 other chambers there. The chamber of Durga, Ganesh and Agastya In my sugestion, it's important for you to put more references about Hinduism in Indonesia is different especialy in the era of Medang Kingdom in 9th century that made that building. Complexity in its extreme. We can make conjectures, but I would assume, the entire temple, represented the seven lokas, Bhu, Bhuvah, Suvaha, Maha, Jana, Tapa, and Satya Loka. They didn't make it tall like, South Indian, Temples, but, two chambers above, one central chamber, one chamber underground, the Bhu on, Shivas, hand, and Satya And Tapa, represented by, Shiva, himself. Thank you for the update, Praveen..!! Great work of the ancient builders who made sure (so long ago), Lord Shiva's statue inside the Prambanan Temple would survive even after devastating earthquakes. The ancient Tamil builders must have thought to build such a great marvel in Indonesia, after experiencing multiples events of devastation originated from there. (e.g. Frequently erupting volcanoes that devastated the crops.) The oldest documented event of that kind was the Little Ice Age of 1257, but the scholars today believe there were more similar events originated from Indonesia in the past. The ancients must have built the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva there, in order to protect all humans living on this planet. Thank you very much for the teachings as always, Praveen..!!
Oh that's a very special Lord Shiva! He is expressing the 12-Chakra system. The upper chambers are the 8th and the 9th! The upper chambers probably protected the statue upon the collapse. Perhaps the upper chambers were filled with Sun light originally? Like the pyramids have light chambers/shafts? Very grounded to the earth.

Every detail on the Shiva lingam is perfectly accurate but the most intriguing detail is that Shiva standing on it without even applying pressure on it almost all the hindu iconism is depicted that way means they can levitate their body it could be lost knowledge or deeply hiding or may be associated with a shastra. The three chambers are possibly a representation of the 3 Spheres of conscoiusness. - large, gross physical - mid chamber, Subtle or Causal - Small chamber, Mental, the Sphere of the Akasha & Angelics that govern creation. . . . It is said all humans have 3 bodies associated with each of the 3 Spheres. I could watch you every day. I envy your ability to visit all these ancient places. I'm constantly in awe of what our ancient ancestors accomplished and can't help but think that with every new discovery, it appears more and more like ancient people were more advanced than we give them credit for, and/or they developed technologies that we lost to time and may be such foreign concepts that we are just now rediscovering the tip of the iceberg.
This was mind boggling analysis of the Shiva Statue in Prambanan temple. My guess is this is 'Kala Bhairava' form of Shiva. The holding of a 'Earth' like structure in a hand, with ornaments on arms, chakras symbolism conveying he is the controller of time across the Universe that has all the galaxies.

Maybe as ruined temples. There are millions of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in India only to multiply and make India a Muslim country. Hindus are being converted in marriages, threatened to convert in areas they become majority,temple lands are being taken by Waqfboard. Hundreds of Hindu children are being kidnapped. Our home ministry is so inactive about these atrocities for a decade now. Christian missionaries aren’t saints either. They are equally active in converting Hindus. Hindus have no clue that they are already on a civil war. It is a losing battle, u unless Hindus wake up and it is already too late.

I agree, that this is a Very special Lord Shiva ! I surmise that the upper chambers were constructed for probably, two or more reasons ! 1} Architecturally it acts like a buttress, making the structure lighter and at the same time stronger ! And Accidentally or Intentionally, allowing the temple to crumble around the statue without damaging the statue too much ! 2} It would have enabled smaller statues to have been secreted inside, for other Religious reasons such as the Crown and Third Eye Chakras 3} The bottom-most shaft would represent the Kundalini Chakra, forming the Root of the Seven Chakras

Complexity in its extreme. We can make conjectures, but I would assume, the entire temple, represented the seven lokas, Bhu, Bhuvah, Suvaha, Maha, Jana, Tapa, and Satya Loka. They didn't make it tall like, South Indian, Temples, but, two chambers above, one central chamber, one chamber underground, the Bhu on, Shivas, hand, and Satya And Tapa, represented by, Shiva, himself.
What a beautiful temple, and it's so tragic that, Indonesian's, and most in, India, the epicentre, don't know it.

Thank you for the update, Praveen..!! Great work of the ancient builders who made sure (so long ago), Lord Shiva's statue inside the Prambanan Temple would survive even after devastating earthquakes. The ancient Tamil builders must have thought to build such a great marvel in Indonesia, after experiencing multiples events of devastation originated from there. (e.g. Frequently erupting volcanoes that devastated the crops.) The oldest documented event of that kind was the Little Ice Age of 1257, but the scholars today believe there were more similar events originated from Indonesia in the past. The ancients must have built the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva there, in order to protect all humans living on this planet. Thank you very much for the teachings as always, Praveen..!!

Oh that's a very special Lord Shiva! He is expressing the 12-Chakra system. The upper chambers are the 8th and the 9th! The upper chambers probably protected the statue upon the collapse. Perhaps the upper chambers were filled with Sun light originally? Like the pyramids have light chambers/shafts? Very grounded to the earth.
Yet I suspect the damage to His nose is somewhat more recent..

Every detail on the Shiva lingam is perfectly accurate but the most intriguing detail is that Shiva standing on it without even applying pressure on it almost all the hindu iconism is depicted that way means they can levitate their body it could be lost knowledge or deeply hiding or may be associated with a shastra.

The three chambers are possibly a representation of the 3 Spheres of conscoiusness.
- large, gross physical
- mid chamber, Subtle or Causal
- Small chamber, Mental, the Sphere of the Akasha & Angelics that govern creation.
. . . It is said all humans have 3 bodies associated with each of the 3 Spheres.
If you look at the caskets of Tutankhamen you'll find,
- the outer made of wood, gross physical.
- the middle made of silver, Subtle.
- the inner made of gold, the Mental.

I could watch you every day. I envy your ability to visit all these ancient places. I'm constantly in awe of what our ancient ancestors accomplished and can't help but think that with every new discovery, it appears more and more like ancient people were more advanced than we give them credit for, and/or they developed technologies that we lost to time and may be such foreign concepts that we are just now rediscovering the tip of the iceberg.
This was mind boggling analysis of the Shiva Statue in Prambanan temple. My guess is this is 'Kala Bhairava' form of Shiva. The holding of a 'Earth' like structure in a hand, with ornaments on arms, chakras symbolism conveying he is the controller of time across the Universe that has all the galaxies.
I'm so glad they rebuilt the temple even though it took many years ❤
because it is a treasure left behind by our ancestors, obviously we really care for it, even if a temple is found on someone else's land, the government will immediately take over and restore it.

Maybe as ruined temples. There are millions of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in India only to multiply and make India a Muslim country. Hindus are being converted in marriages, threatened to convert in areas they become majority,temple lands are being taken by Waqfboard. Hundreds of Hindu children are being kidnapped. Our home ministry is so inactive about these atrocities for a decade now. Christian missionaries aren’t saints either. They are equally active in converting Hindus. Hindus have no clue that they are already on a civil war. It is a losing battle, u unless Hindus wake up and it is already too late.
I am amazed to know all details. An ordinary person can not even think 1% what you have explained and discover.

I surmise that the upper chambers were constructed for probably, two or more reasons !
1} Architecturally it acts like a buttress, making the structure lighter and at the same time stronger !
And Accidentally or Intentionally, allowing the temple to crumble around the statue without damaging the statue too much !
2} It would have enabled smaller statues to have been secreted inside, for other Religious reasons such as the Crown and Third Eye Chakras
3} The bottom-most shaft would represent the Kundalini Chakra, forming the Root of the Seven Chakras
