I've been wanting the manga for X for YEARS and yesterday after soooooooo long I finally found volumes 2-4 in a Barnes & Noble and I just could not pass it up. I cried when I saw them on the shelf and I hugged them tightly from the store to home. I also want Tokyo Babylon and Tsubasa

Watching your video made me realize how far I am from completing my own CLAMP collection. But I have also collecting the art books, with my favourite being Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, the crossover to Xxxholic.
I entered CLAMP's world with Sakura Card Captor but ended up absolutely loving them 'cause TSUBASA RESERVOIR CHRONICLES. That work drove me nuts and made me cry for DAYS. I was totally devasted with all the things they went through... gosh!! ToT The series I watched of them are: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, XXX Holic, Sakura Card Captor, Kobato (♥), Chobits, CLAMP's School of Detectives, and X (1999). One of my greatest goals is to collect all of their works too, tsm for the video, it gave me hope!!!
Oh chobits... I actually had the whole series but when I read the ending I got so pissed off that I donated them. I can't even remember the reason why I was so pissed 😬. Great to see your collection!

I don't collect that much manga to save space for my figure collection. So instead I collect CLAMP artbooks. I currently have all three Tsubasa chronicle artbooks, Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card/Exhibition, all three Code Geass artbooks, Chobits, and The Art of Clamp. I'm currently looking for the Xxxholic artbook, the three X artbooks and the rest of the Cardcaptor Sakura artbooks.
Kodansha recently did a hardcover omnibus for Clover, and I’m considering picking it up because I thought the art looked cool and it the book look really nice.
I'm currently trying to finish collecting Tsubasa and it's sequel after collecting 19 volumes while I was in highschool many years ago! Clamp has stayed one of the biggest positives in my life and in my manga collection, timeless stuff! Also, i'm not 100% sure, but, for in the case of the fold out colour posters in some of the releases, I believe that's an indication of a 1st edition print of the book? My volume 1 of xxxHolic doesn't have this and has the name written in yellow (indicating its second print run), but every subsequent volume in my collection has the art works and the name witten in red (indicating the first print run)! And I believe, if anything in the case of xxxHolic specifically, anything after first print, run 1, will not have colour pages or mini poster. Not sure if this is similarly applicable to other clamp series runs, but Interesting stuff~ ^^
Ahh yeees, a whole Clamp collection. That's my goal too. Sadly I have to buy a mix of German and English volumes simply because the German versions are out of print for years now. Some of them got a reprint and some will soon but yeah... Spending 40€ on one used volume for the old version is just way too expensive for me. It's still a long way for me to have all of their series but I am on my way
Ooohhhh you have a lot of them! I just finished today catching up on reading aaaalllll of those (although i sadly only own TRC, xxxHolic and Legal Drug for now, ) it was really good!!!! I think my favourite might be Duklyon if only for the fact that i don't (not seriously) hate it for making me cry my eyes out like most of the others (my favourite character is Akira though i love this boy sm). And i got introduced into CLAMP arguable the worst way possible - through the TRC anime, though i was so obssessed with the concept that i quickly continued into the xxxHolic anime and the rest is history!
Omggg! Finally found someone on TH-cam who is a Clamp fan! My sister and I collected Clamp when i was in elementary, we never got to complete it. We get the Mandarin versions of manga here in the Philippines way before. It was a challenge to get translations online back then. There were no scanlations yet- we got script-like manuscripts lol. X is my favorite of all the Clamp ive read. BTW, the Mandarin by-volume books of RayEarth has each main girl in the covers and its all GORGEOUS. thanks so mich for this feature, as you’ve mentioned some titles that i haven’t read yet.

So far I have Cardcaptor Sakura, CS Clear Card, Magic Knight Rayearth I & II (I love the second series - it wraps up well), Tokyo Babylon, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Kobato (one of my faves!!), Shirahime-Syo, Suki, The One I Love, and I have only the first of the Chobits Omnibus! I also have CLAMP's "Makona's Okimono Kimono" book/manga. So I have quite a ways to go! I'm looking forward to hearing you talk more about them - you've quickly become one of my fave youtubers!
my cousin 10 years my senior was a secret CLAMP otaku. I only found out because she noticed my X boxset and asked if she could borrow it. She admitted to binge watching it over the weekend i didn't say anything, i just kinda looked at her like "w0t really," because she was the ace student and just graduated as a chemistry doctorate and got a career as an engineer at Exxon Mobile right out of college. Her face lit up like ive never seen before when she admitted to binge watching. I think she really wanted to talk about X then and there but i was so surprised. I dont think anyone else but me knows about her CLAMP enthusiasm

i've only recently read my first CLAMP books (it was vol 1&2 of X) and i'm so awed by the art, excited to read more of their work. i dont think any other CLAMP manga is published here and they didnt feel like a priority for me to buy from usa/england online stores (the current exchange rate is biting our butts too) but my library recently got xxxholic omnibuses (in english) and i hope to get my hands on them soon! great video!!

Im doing a presentation about clamp and my favorite anime from them called "Magic Knights Rayearth." It's high school magical girls with swords and mecha. :D 2 out of three things that boys like. It's sailor moon but with dimensional travel. monsters from another world, robots, and battle maidens.

In LOVE! ❤️❤️Read the 1st chapter and immediately knew this was going to be one of my favorite series of all time. I’m just wondering if reading the companion piece Tsubasa Chronicles is required to understand the story?
Ah!!! I am so happy you’re enjoying my favorite series!!!! Reading TC is definitely not required! But, there are things that happen in xxxHolic that get clarification in TC. But my goodness, Tsubasa Chronicles is a wild convoluted journey. Hahahaha!

I went into full Surprised Pikachu when I saw that Spine crack! So sad!!! I'm working on my Clamp Collection too! I've been collecting the older versions of the CCS manga because I already had half from when I was a kid and then they announced the collectors editions soooo looks like I'm getting both.
Your collection is beautiful, you have some old works as Suki Dakara Suki, Man of Many Faces and The One I Love. I'm trying to collect all of the works of CLAMP as well, but in Mexico we didn't have published some of their old manga so I had to buy some books from EE.UU. and Spain and right now I'm saving money to get some old editions from Tokyopop.

Kobato was my very first clamp series (I watched the anime, it's gorgeous as well I highly recommend it :D) I would love to own the manga in physical form someday! Actually, I'm probably going to collect that as well as all the connected clamp works, like chobits, cardcaptor, tsubasa, holic, angelic layer and wish! Pray for my wallet lol
i'm a collector of their art books. and its pretty darn pricy. each art book of theirs youd be expecting price avg $40- 80. xxxholic art book is currently priced at 200-600. most their art books are discontinued. I recently sold my collection of Cardcaptor manga 1-6 and about to sell my 3 collection of art book

I just loved this video so much!!! I am so close to completing my Clamp Collection! If you are woried about X/1999 ending you could always watch the anime. It is so good btw One of my fav animes. I heard that the magazine that was publishing X cancelled it and kept the rights somehow. Its very sad. In Drug&Drop I was so surpized to see the cross over for Wish lol that was a very nice touch! I hope you enjoy Tsubasa! I heard it explains more about Holic. Not sure how yet. So many for us to read!!! Happy reading!! I can't wait for the CCS new Editions as well!!!
I've heard Tsubasa is supposed to be one of the greatest crossovers there is! I scored the whole unused set for an amazing price I couldn't pass up (thank you, Ebay)....but, I haven't read it yet since I want to read some other titles to better enjoy it. I've heard reviewers say it gives you a better feeling of closure on some of the series that ended too abruptly! I'm looking forward to it!! :D I think it's pretty amazing that CLAMP would create such an intricate manga geared towards it's hardcore fans.
The fact that so many of their characters make cameos in other series is so cool! Even places get cameos! Cafes and other shops. I’m on a mission to see how many I can spot as I read through everything.
i know this is an old video but since you’re such a huge clamp fan you should get clamp no kiseki, ebay has great deals and every clamp lover should definitely consider owning it:)
The only CLAMP I own is Myuki-Chan in Wonderland. And it’s one of my all time favorite things. It’s so stupid and so gay and so problematic, I laugh at it from beginning to end. I read it when it first came out in English. I was 13 and it’s pure nostalgia for me now lol

I have Man of Many Faces digitally. It's the only Clamp series I own. I did read a few volumes of Chobits back when I was in high school since my sis did buy the series, but I never had the chance to finish it. I'm kind of on and off with the CCS series I guess it's not my kind of series...
Yeah, not every one of their series will be for everyone. I plan to do manga chats for each one so that people who aren’t as Clamp obsessed as I am can pick and choose what series they might like!
I'm a poor soul, can't afford any of the CLAMP work even though I grew up on them! So lucky my library (and some teehee website) allow me to read their work, but definitely, my goal is to own Tsubasa Chronicle (both original and the world), Cardcaptor Sakura (both original and clear card), and Kobato! I adored those series and those are on my high list, but definitely, one day will own all of the CLAMP works like xxxHolic and Chobits! Could you recommend where you get these? So, I bought most of my used/oop titles from the Amazon Marketplace. xxxHolic is one that I’ve had for many years (I started collecting it when it was still releasing) but I’m sure at least the omnibuses are available through that site. Or you can try Better World Books! I’ve used that site for other series and it’s a good option.
I started reading the CLAMP works when a mexican company published their work 12 years ago. Many of those volumes were ruined with mold. I was so sad. Now a new publisher started reprinting omnibus versions of those manga. Oh, CLAMP why are you not working on new projects and why did you cancel X, Clover and Gate 7?!

It’s a bit of a mixed bag! It’s episodic, but time does move for the characters in a way that makes the story move forward. It’s more slice-of-life than story driven, though.

I love X and I'm glad Viz Media reprinted the series. My only gripe is that they didn't localized the X 18.5 manga chapters.

i've only recently read my first CLAMP books (it was vol 1&2 of X) and i'm so awed by the art, excited to read more of their work. i dont think any other CLAMP manga is published here and they didnt feel like a priority for me to buy from usa/england online stores (the current exchange rate is biting our butts too) but my library recently got xxxholic omnibuses (in english) and i hope to get my hands on them soon!

Im doing a presentation about clamp and my favorite anime from them called "Magic Knights Rayearth." It's high school magical girls with swords and mecha. :D 2 out of three things that boys like. It's sailor moon but with dimensional travel. monsters from another world, robots, and battle maidens.

In LOVE! ❤️❤️Read the 1st chapter and immediately knew this was going to be one of my favorite series of all time. I’m just wondering if reading the companion piece Tsubasa Chronicles is required to understand the story?

Reading TC is definitely not required! But, there are things that happen in xxxHolic that get clarification in TC.

I'm working on my Clamp Collection too! I've been collecting the older versions of the CCS manga because I already had half from when I was a kid and then they announced the collectors editions soooo looks like I'm getting both.

Your collection is beautiful, you have some old works as Suki Dakara Suki, Man of Many Faces and The One I Love. I'm trying to collect all of the works of CLAMP as well, but in Mexico we didn't have published some of their old manga so I had to buy some books from EE.UU. and Spain and right now I'm saving money to get some old editions from Tokyopop.

Kobato was my very first clamp series (I watched the anime, it's gorgeous as well I highly recommend it :D) I would love to own the manga in physical form someday! Actually, I'm probably going to collect that as well as all the connected clamp works, like chobits, cardcaptor, tsubasa, holic, angelic layer and wish! Pray for my wallet lol
i'm a collector of their art books. and its pretty darn pricy. each art book of theirs youd be expecting price avg $40- 80. xxxholic art book is currently priced at 200-600. most their art books are discontinued. I recently sold my collection of Cardcaptor manga 1-6 and about to sell my 3 collection of art book

For now, my favs are tokyo babylon 😭 and scc 😍. But I know xxxholic will be my fav because it gives me a lot of nostalgic feelings and I love the characters.

Kobato now is really hard to own physically. I only have volumes 1 and 2 in paperback. The rest of the series are available in ebook formt.

I just loved this video so much!!! I am so close to completing my Clamp Collection! If you are woried about X/1999 ending you could always watch the anime. It is so good btw One of my fav animes. I heard that the magazine that was publishing X cancelled it and kept the rights somehow. Its very sad. In Drug&Drop I was so surpized to see the cross over for Wish lol that was a very nice touch! I hope you enjoy Tsubasa! I heard it explains more about Holic. Not sure how yet. So many for us to read!!! Happy reading!! I can't wait for the CCS new Editions as well!!!
I've heard Tsubasa is supposed to be one of the greatest crossovers there is! I scored the whole unused set for an amazing price I couldn't pass up (thank you, Ebay)....but, I haven't read it yet since I want to read some other titles to better enjoy it. I've heard reviewers say it gives you a better feeling of closure on some of the series that ended too abruptly! I'm looking forward to it!! :D I think it's pretty amazing that CLAMP would create such an intricate manga geared towards it's hardcore fans.

The fact that so many of their characters make cameos in other series is so cool! Even places get cameos! Cafes and other shops. I’m on a mission to see how many I can spot as I read through everything.
i know this is an old video but since you’re such a huge clamp fan you should get clamp no kiseki, ebay has great deals and every clamp lover should definitely consider owning it:)
The only CLAMP I own is Myuki-Chan in Wonderland. And it’s one of my all time favorite things. It’s so stupid and so gay and so problematic, I laugh at it from beginning to end. I read it when it first came out in English. I was 13 and it’s pure nostalgia for me now lol

They are! The only omnibus I've had issues with was my paperback omnibus of Clover. The spine snapped!

What is the newest manga from CLAMP?
I have Man of Many Faces digitally. It's the only Clamp series I own. I did read a few volumes of Chobits back when I was in high school since my sis did buy the series, but I never had the chance to finish it. I'm kind of on and off with the CCS series I guess it's not my kind of series...
Yeah, not every one of their series will be for everyone. I plan to do manga chats for each one so that people who aren’t as Clamp obsessed as I am can pick and choose what series they might like!

So lucky my library (and some teehee website) allow me to read their work, but definitely, my goal is to own Tsubasa Chronicle (both original and the world), Cardcaptor Sakura (both original and clear card), and Kobato! I adored those series and those are on my high list, but definitely, one day will own all of the CLAMP works like xxxHolic and Chobits! Could you recommend where you get these? So, I bought most of my used/oop titles from the Amazon Marketplace. xxxHolic is one that I’ve had for many years (I started collecting it when it was still releasing) but I’m sure at least the omnibuses are available through that site. Or you can try Better World Books! I’ve used that site for other series and it’s a good option.

I started reading the CLAMP works when a mexican company published their work 12 years ago. Many of those volumes were ruined with mold. I was so sad.
Now a new publisher started reprinting omnibus versions of those manga.
Oh, CLAMP why are you not working on new projects and why did you cancel X, Clover and Gate 7?!

I'm interested in xxxholic. Is each volume a different story? or is there more than one "wish" per volume? it's kinda episodic right? or is there linear story?
It’s a bit of a mixed bag! It’s episodic, but time does move for the characters in a way that makes the story move forward. It’s more slice-of-life than story driven, though.
