Hello What are the names of the 3 black trees? Can you fold them to store them better? I have not found them in the www, as the hobby is not yet so widespread in europe.
Thank you for sharing. I am also a newbie this year. I am wanting to do the house outline for next year and still unsure what I need to do that. How did you figure out what you needed for controllers and wires?
I hand drew a picture of the front of my house and took measurements. I marked off each section where a line of pixels would be and calculated at 2" spacing. Surprisingly, all my calculations worked out. I only wish I hadn't terminated the ends of my pixel strings where I cut them. I should have soldered on pigtails for future expansion. I bought extensions of various lengths (5', 10', 20') and also made my own custom cords with pigtails and flat 3-core wire. For the differential receivers, I just drew on my picture where everything would connect.
Technically, each port can drive up to 1024 pixels, however, each port is shared with two others. It all depends on how you have the F48 configured. I highly recommend watching this video as he explains how the ports are shared in the setup: th-cam.com/video/pk5s5OuzWq8/w-d-xo.html
Hey, Isaac! They are made from 1/2" PVC pipe. Each base is approximately 5' between the two inner Ts that hold the upright arch. The arch itself is a 10' piece of PVC. The pixels are square pixels zip tied to the arch. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
It's probably pretty close once you factor in all the extra cables I would've needed with an F16. For me, it's not about the money, it's about how I organize everything so it makes sense to me.

The trees are from Boscoyo. Once they have pixels in them, they do not fold for storage. boscoyostudio.com/product/large-180-mini-tree-coro/

I’m super new to all this. Looks like you have 4 ports coming off of each smart receiver. How many pixels can be driven from each port? Great video!

@@PridePinball thanks very much, will do
How did you make the arches?

Cool! It would have been cheaper to just have a central F15v3 instead of the F48 though
