the reason the flashback doesnt cover all of god valley is because its from Kuma's perspective and Kuma left the island with his fruit and didnt witness the whole thing
He sent 500 slaves away, and the celestial dragons told the slaves to scatter to make the hunt entertaining. Kuma was out there during the hunt, Kuma was still active after he ate the fruit.
But it shows things Kuma didn’t witness, like the pirates arriving. And it didn’t show things like how Kuma got away from Saturn. I think this was Oda not revealing all his cards yet.
Fucked up part is, I’m about 90 percent sure that the WG is going to commit a massacre on Sorbet in the future of this backstory, Killing Ginny and blaming it all on Kuma, in turn giving him the “Tyrant” title. Leave this man alone 🥹

Kuma calling Ginny a glutton basically confirms Ginny is Bonney’s mom. My guess is the celestial dragons stole the Uo-Uo no Mi. I’m now really interested in Rocks’ personality. Because Whitebeard and the others were referring to Rocks in the same way that the Straw Hats refer to Luffy. So their personalities could be similar but we know that the Rocks Pirates _hated_ each other. It was really awesome to see Shiki again and finally get an image of Ochoku, Silver Axe, the real Buckingham Stussy as a young woman and an alive Captain John. Of all the characters Oda could’ve pulled as people we’ve already met who were Rocks Pirates, Nyon was basically at the bottom of my list. If the flashback hadn’t cut right to the Sorbet Kingdom, I would’ve placed all my bets that chapter 1100 would’ve revealed Rocks in full. But I still think that it _could_ happen. I also think equally it could be Kuma arriving on Egghead. When was the last time we saw someone _eat_ a devil fruit? Like physically put one in their mouth and chew because I feel like it was Luffy. If the fruit Ivankov was holding is the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, where do they find the Horu Horu no Mi? And it looks like Kuma becomes the King of Sorbet by becoming a religious leader. Man this was an amazing chapter from so many impactful things happening at once and teases but the most impactful thing to me was Jinny stomach full starting to cry from being happy then Kuma with both of them being free finally filled with so much joy and happiness. 😊 😢
Crazy how Jay said exactly the same thing I did after reading the chapter. "This chapter is One Piece". It made me feel like a kid again reading the old flashback chapters like Robin's or Law's. And it's actually the first chapter ever that made me cry on first read.
Kuma squared up to Saturn like “I’m Klap’s son and I’m about to klap your cheeks” lmaoo. Also Oda really did show he’s more of a rat than any of us with that blue ball. I’m cool with it because those last scenes with Jinny and Kuma were fantastic
How is this chapter of the year? We didnt get much in terms of "hype" besides seeing them at god valley, which we knew happened? Kuma stuff was great though but chapter of the year with all the bangers released this year is way overkill
The chapters with Cobra, the Elders and Im were pretty insane, too, as were the chapters with Vegapunk talking to Luffy and co. before shit went down on Egghead.
I feel you Jay with that last page. That spoke to me. Capture this moment of them crying over knowing what it means to be full in the body and soul because we're gonna need to look back at stuff like this when we're in sorrow in a few chapters.

Same here. I had feeling that we weren’t going to see the full god valley flashback just yet because this is mainly just Kuma’s back story. I’m fine with it because we got a tone of information from it.

I think the prime characters who will be the central pillars for the incident is Garland and Shanks

Oda managed to show how he's just the Pinnacle of Rats with this chapter. How else can you explain how he's had his God Valley backstory cake and eaten it too, out from under our fucking noses 😂 This has been one of my favorite chapters of my time being caught up to the story, but I've been saying that a lot lately, I'll fully admit.
I don't think that was Whang Zhi chugging booze. That's Captain John, we saw his corpse still drinking like that back at Thriller Bark. Also he's the one crying about his treasure which was taken from Hachinosu. Buggy was looking for that alcoholics treasure at a skull shaped island in paradise..
What a chapter, just pure deep emotion. Initially I was a little bummed about the God Valley side step but honestly I think having it would have taken me out of it being 'Kuma's Backstory'. A fun detail though is I think those two kids that Kuma heals at the end become members of Bonney's crew. They were looking out for their guy's daughter.
If you look at the panel of bonny's introduction when she was eating with her crew , you can see two boy beside her then now look at the looks of the 2 kids that threw a rock on Kuma
I'm glad i was not the only one crying with this chapter. Kuma is such a gentle and loving giant, i really hope he sees luffy as Nika while concious, i know everybody says he is dead at this point, but the proof that he still has his devil fruit must indicate something.

Honestly accurate analogy with this chapter; it was a total feast, 10/10, disappointing that it wasn’t what we expected, but it was great that what we got was outstanding and not what we knew we wanted.

How is this chapter of the year? We didnt get much in terms of "hype" besides seeing them at god valley, which we knew happened? Kuma stuff was great though but chapter of the year with all the bangers released this year is way overkill

The chapters with Cobra, the Elders and Im were pretty insane, too, as were the chapters with Vegapunk talking to Luffy and co. before shit went down on Egghead.

Same here. I had feeling that we weren’t going to see the full god valley flashback just yet because this is mainly just Kuma’s back story. I’m fine with it because we got a tone of information from it.
@gabrielcarter16 yeah I get a feeling that we will get many different perspectives on how the God Valley incident occurred which is fine because it means we can get Character growth from a lot of the characters who were witnesses. I think the prime characters who will be the central pillars for the incident is Garland and Shanks

I don't think that was Whang Zhi chugging booze. That's Captain John, we saw his corpse still drinking like that back at Thriller Bark. Also he's the one crying about his treasure which was taken from Hachinosu. Buggy was looking for that alcoholics treasure at a skull shaped island in paradise..
What a chapter, just pure deep emotion. Initially I was a little bummed about the God Valley side step but honestly I think having it would have taken me out of it being 'Kuma's Backstory'. A fun detail though is I think those two kids that Kuma heals at the end become members of Bonney's crew. They were looking out for their guy's daughter.
If you look at the panel of bonny's introduction when she was eating with her crew , you can see two boy beside her then now look at the looks of the 2 kids that threw a rock on Kuma

I'm glad i was not the only one crying with this chapter. Kuma is such a gentle and loving giant, i really hope he sees luffy as Nika while concious, i know everybody says he is dead at this point, but the proof that he still has his devil fruit must indicate something.
