OH MY GOD!! This show brings back some memories! My father, mother and I LOVED watching this show!! I come from firefighting stock and was a firefighter myself for six months.
Bought the homemade dvds of this show off of sell.com and just got them this morning. Can't wait to see this episode. Have not seen this show in 33 yrs. Killer opening theme music. Needed to be on a different night than against 60 min. May have had a second season.
I REMEMBER LOVING THIS WHEN I WAS A KID. I remember CR episode where there was a serial arsonist who would carry his firestarting materials in an attache . After seeing that episode, next day on the school playground, I pretended I was an arsonist, and my(Metal Pac Man) lunchbox was my attache! LOL, Ah youth!

This was the last TV series that Irwin Allen produced for the network, before his death in 1991. this series wasn't exactly up to his standdards,,as many saw it as little more of a rip-off of Jack Webb's "EMERGENCY"-but whatever the reason, this show was a far cry from "LOST IN SPACE",or any of Allen's previous efforts, since he was just finishing his Disaster film status. it was also his first series for Columbia Pictures Television, shortly before his "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" CBS special in 1985.
I was only about 4 years old but I remember the show and loved it

This was the last TV series by producer Irwin Allen (The Poseidon Advenure, The Towering Inferno, Lost In Space, The Time Tunnel).
you'd think the movie studio guy would say " by the way, we're filming, so if you hear a boom don't worry."

Like the music.
Morton Stevens, who wrote the theme for HAWAII FIVE O, wrote the theme for CODE RED.
an abc action show lasted one season from november 1981 to september of 1982
I bet lorne green had a green lawn with all those fire engines.
WOW A CAR PHONE!!!
Actually I think the beginning was a good way to introduce the show, there were at least 2 other firefighting shows on before this
I was like OMG ITS HIM... wait who is he... LOREN GREEN!?!?!?
Now stay tuned for today,s FBI and follow grease on the Sunday night movie next on abc
I vaguely remember this being in reruns as a kid. Was this rerun on USA Network or in syndication on local stations?
