ACA Cyclone 125 - 4 min Alert - Bensenville, IL

- Lately I have been wanting to film this formerly unrecorded Cyclone, and now me and Mitchell are the first people to record this one. I scheduled a doctors appointment for today at 11, so that I could get out of school to see a siren test. I was concerned Bensenville wouldn't test today due to the clouds, cold and wind, but thankfully ACDC (Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center) tested! Usually Don Schultz tests the sirens on odd months and ACDC tests even months, but sometimes its just a hit or a miss with who tests. Also, this test confirms that Bensenville does 5 min warning signals in emergencies, as if they had timers on them, they would have shut off at the 3 minute mark, but instead these continued on for about 4 mins, and plus Don said he runs these for 5 mins in warnings. I very much enjoyed being able to hear one of these again, enjoy!

My favorite siren ever
Awesome video of this powerful siren. I remember I heard these all the way at my house in Harwood Heights, going off for a warning back in 2014. At first, I didn’t know what that distant hum was, until Schillers STL-10 fired up.

Yep. The Cyclone is the “naked” version of the of the P-50.

Awesome video man! Love these sirens! Only equivalent siren I’ve heard is a 40V2T and it was extremely loud so I’m assuming this is basically a 50 HP lower pitched version of that volume wise. The Allertor 125 I saw was also pretty loud too.
firefreak57 Funny you mention the 40V2T cause that’s exactly what Besenville considered if one of these ever goes.
